There may be an additional charge for extended travel (see Service Area below), holidays ($50 - $100), pets over 99 lbs, appointments outside normal business hours (when arranged), aggressive pets, and some exotic species.
Although we mainly see dogs and cats, some of our veterinarians can assist you with other species such as pigs, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, birds, fish, and goats. Call for pricing and availability.
With this option, your pet is cremated privately at a licensed crematory. The ashes are contained in a lovely cedar urn with an engraved nameplate and will be returned to your primary care veterinarian within two weeks. They can also be made available directly from the crematory or mailed to you for an additional fee.
This option is for families that don't wish to have their pet's ashes returned nor wish to bury at home. Pets are respectfully cremated with other pets at the licensed Craig Road Pet Cemetery. Remains are scattered around the lovely grounds, tall trees, and rose garden. The cemetery grounds are always open for a visit or reflection, and many of our police, fire, military, and service dogs have been placed there since the early 1960’s.
There may be a fee if additional assistance to safely carry your pet out of your home is needed.
We are here to answer your questions every day, from 6am - 8pm. Appointments are scheduled throughout the week, please call for availability.
Sometimes, pets take a turn for the worse overnight, so we do our best to accommodate same day appointments with a few hours notice when possible.
If this is a medical emergency, please contact your local veterinarian or one of the emergency clinics listed in the Local Resources section.

Jessica Jensen, DVM
I have been practicing medicine for almost 7 years after graduating from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 2009. I worked in private practice in Wisconsin before moving here to Las Vegas where I started with Banfield in April 2010. I grew up on a dairy and sheep farm in Northeast Wisconsin. As a child, I always wanted the best for the animals on our farm and even fixed a broken leg on one of the barn cats with popsicle sticks! I became interested in how to treat animals and learned the importance of preventive care from the farm. But have also developed a passion for quality of life care. I am currently focused on treating dogs and cats. I currently have one dog named Harlow who is a three-year-old Terrier mix. Ialso have four cats named Harvey, Walter, Milton and Alfred. In my free time, I like to go hiking, shopping, to the movies and sleep!

"Dr. Toby had assisted a friend with two previous transitions that Henry and I were present for. When it came time for Henry to leave, there was no question about calling Lap of Love. I can imagine no more peaceful way to bid farewell to a loving companion that to be at home with surrounded by loved ones."

"Our friend, Chloe, had been battling cancer for quite a while and unfortunately, her condition quickly deteriorated. When I took her to the vet, she was so scared and disoriented and I was unable to see her leave us under those conditions. Our vet recommended Dr. Toby. He came to our home the day after Christmas and was so unbelievably kind and compassionate. Chloe was able to go to sleep on her own bed under the Christmas tree, totally at ease and at peace. Our other dogs were able to come out briefly and get closure so that they weren't waiting by the door for Chloe to come home. Dr. Toby took care of the arrangements to have her cremated and communicated to our vet so that we didn't get automatic care reminders, etc. I've had to have dogs put to sleep at the vet because I didn't know about this service existed but I wish so much that I'd been able to give them this same treatment at the end of their lives. I would recommend Dr. Toby to anyone without a doubt. He's an angel."

"Our family is so grateful for you, Dr Toby. From the moment we introduced ourselves to one another, we felt as ease with this difficult decision. I am grateful to share that Dr Toby made this experience peaceful and calm for our family. Your spirit is caring and genuine and that was made even more known as you treated our sweet girl with love and compassion. Upon walking through our front door, I felt such ease and peace of mind as we moved forward with our final act of care for Mandy. I truly believe that we are healing our family in a more peaceful way because of the care we were shown by you in our home, with our sweet pup. Thank you for your compassion and caring heart. Thank you for the way in which you eased our aching hearts and minds. We can reflect on that morning with a lightness and see it for the gift that it was.
Thank you, Dr Toby,
The Clark Family and our sweet Mandy"

"Thanks to Lap of Love my wonderful English Bulldog Branzo (Bubs) was able to have his last moments at home with his family. He was only 3 years old and had been battling cancer for a couple of years. He is constantly remembered by the actions of our other two bulldogs. I'm comforted to know he is at peace."
