With this option, your pet is cremated privately at a licensed crematory. The ashes are contained in a lovely cedar urn with an engraved nameplate and will be returned to your primary care veterinarian within two weeks. They can also be made available directly from the crematory or mailed to you for an additional fee.
This option is for families that don't wish to have their pet's ashes returned nor wish to bury at home. Pets are respectfully cremated with other pets at the licensed Craig Road Pet Cemetery. Remains are scattered around the lovely grounds, tall trees, and rose garden. The cemetery grounds are always open for a visit or reflection, and many of our police, fire, military, and service dogs have been placed there since the early 1960’s.
There may be a fee if additional assistance to safely carry your pet out of your home is needed.
We are here to answer your questions every day, from 6am - 8pm. Appointments are scheduled throughout the week, please call for availability.
Sometimes, pets take a turn for the worse overnight, so we do our best to accommodate same day appointments with a few hours notice when possible.
If this is a medical emergency, please contact your local veterinarian or one of the emergency clinics listed in the Local Resources section.

Jessica Jensen, DVM
I have been practicing medicine for almost 7 years after graduating from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 2009. I worked in private practice in Wisconsin before moving here to Las Vegas where I started with Banfield in April 2010. I grew up on a dairy and sheep farm in Northeast Wisconsin. As a child, I always wanted the best for the animals on our farm and even fixed a broken leg on one of the barn cats with popsicle sticks! I became interested in how to treat animals and learned the importance of preventive care from the farm. But have also developed a passion for quality of life care. I am currently focused on treating dogs and cats. I currently have one dog named Harlow who is a three-year-old Terrier mix. Ialso have four cats named Harvey, Walter, Milton and Alfred. In my free time, I like to go hiking, shopping, to the movies and sleep!

"Today was the most hardest and saddest decision we all as a family ever had to face. Our first family dog Shadow who was entering his 15 years of life had to be put to rest today April 21, 2018. My husband Mike told me that Shadow is not looking good and we need to put him down. His back legs were giving up. We just couldn't put him thru that any longer. I could still remember the day we brought Shadow home. He was the only Labrador mix puppy that came over to my son Alex who was under 2 years old at the time. I told my husband, "That's the puppy I want to adopt." He's been a part of our family ever since. He will truly be missed!
My husband Mike contacted our dogs Veterinarian office and they referred us to Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice. Tiffany Langley sent us a detailed email on what to expect today. She told us Dr. Toby Goldman will be arriving to our home. Before his arrival, we did our best to comfort Shadow and my daughter Kayla fed him more food than normal. Shadow loved to eat so he was so very happy. I never knew this kind of service existed until today.
When Dr. Toby arrived he explained to us what he will be doing to Shadow, step by step. He not only comforted Shadow, but he comforted us all as well. All our hearts were breaking just knowing in a matter of minutes our Beloved Shadow will no longer be with us. When Shadow was administered the first shot to make him relax and be pain free it was just a matter of minutes when we all witnessed him falling asleep peacefully and at that very moment we knew he was no longer suffering. His face even looked happier and Dr. Toby said he even could see a smile on his face. Then the second shot was administered and that was it. Dr. Toby then told us Shadow had passed when he couldn't hear his heartbeat and his breathing stopped.
We will always remember the exemplary service Dr. Toby Goldman from Lap of Love has shown us on this beautiful day. He even left us Shadow's paw print done on clay and cut a lock of his hair for us to keep as a remembrance of Shadow. Thank you Dr. Toby for coming to our home and helping us get thru this difficult time. Our Beloved Shadow is now resting in peace.
I highly recommend Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice & In-Home Euthanasia. We couldn't have had it any other way. I will most definitely refer Lap of Love to all my family and friends."

"For the last year four years of his life, I had only one prayer for my precious fur son -- that he be able to pass peacefully and gently, with love and kindness, at home, in his own bed. I prayed for him to be surrounded by his own blankets and his favorite toys, with a bit of vanilla ice cream lingering on his tongue and lips. He was such a sensitive dog, I prayed that I might send him on his way with love and peace. Lap of Love and Dr. Toby made that possible. They were responsive and compassionate in a truly profound way. Dr. Toby helped me to celebrate El Rey's life, and prepare for his death. His guidance and reassurance, his gentle nudges and willingness to listen, and his patience (allowing me all the time I needed) helped me get through what was truly the most difficult and painful thing I've ever had to do in my life. He gave my baby my last and final gift of love. Dr. Toby granted my sweet baby a peaceful passing. Together, we set him free, with dignity and grace. Thank you Lap of Love and Dr. Toby, from the bottom of my heart. Now I am left with a beautiful memory of my angel 's last day on earth. I can smile when I think of him gaining his wings, even as my heart is breaking."

"Our 14 year old cat, Kymba, was worsening from complications of stage 4 kidney disease. I called Lap of Love Las Vegas and talked with a very nice representative, who made an appointment for two days later. I had just used Lap of Love in Tampa, FL six months prior to lay our 18 year old cat, Shiloh, to rest; I knew what a top notch, caring group of people these were, and I wanted to give Kymba the same comfortable experience. Unfortunately, Kymba's health worsened so quickly that I had to take him to an emergency vet that same night to say goodbye. When I called to cancel the appointment with Lap of Love, they were so comforting and caring. They sent a sympathy card, even though they didn't get the opportunity to help him over the Bridge. It is actions like that which make Lap of Love worth every penny, and I very much appreciate their thoughtfulness."

"Dr. Toby thank you for making us feel better about the tough decision to put our beautiful boy down. We couldn’t think of anywhere else we would have wanted to do it but in our own home where he was able to feel safe and comfortable in his surroundings. Your encouraging words and sweet stories helped us to know we were making the right choice. We found comfort in hearing that we were giving Rocky a gift."
