With this option, your pet is cremated privately at a licensed crematory. The ashes are contained in a lovely cedar urn with an engraved nameplate and will be returned to your primary care veterinarian within two weeks. They can also be made available directly from the crematory or mailed to you for an additional fee.
This option is for families that don't wish to have their pet's ashes returned nor wish to bury at home. Pets are respectfully cremated with other pets at the licensed Craig Road Pet Cemetery. Remains are scattered around the lovely grounds, tall trees, and rose garden. The cemetery grounds are always open for a visit or reflection, and many of our police, fire, military, and service dogs have been placed there since the early 1960’s.
There may be a fee if additional assistance to safely carry your pet out of your home is needed.
We are here to answer your questions every day, from 6am - 8pm. Appointments are scheduled throughout the week, please call for availability.
Sometimes, pets take a turn for the worse overnight, so we do our best to accommodate same day appointments with a few hours notice when possible.
If this is a medical emergency, please contact your local veterinarian or one of the emergency clinics listed in the Local Resources section.

Jessica Jensen, DVM
I have been practicing medicine for almost 7 years after graduating from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 2009. I worked in private practice in Wisconsin before moving here to Las Vegas where I started with Banfield in April 2010. I grew up on a dairy and sheep farm in Northeast Wisconsin. As a child, I always wanted the best for the animals on our farm and even fixed a broken leg on one of the barn cats with popsicle sticks! I became interested in how to treat animals and learned the importance of preventive care from the farm. But have also developed a passion for quality of life care. I am currently focused on treating dogs and cats. I currently have one dog named Harlow who is a three-year-old Terrier mix. Ialso have four cats named Harvey, Walter, Milton and Alfred. In my free time, I like to go hiking, shopping, to the movies and sleep!

"It is always a stressful and emotional time when a family loses a pet. In our forty years of marriage, we have had to say goodbye to four beautiful dogs. We have pictures of them all and often recall stories of the adventures and great times we shared. When Pepper got sick, we knew it was only a matter of time. We did our best to keep him happy and comfortable until we had to face the inevitable. Finding Lap of Love was a blessing. Within seconds of making the initial phone call with Tina, we knew we had made the right decision. Throughout every contact, Dr. Toby and Tina were empathetic, understanding, and compassionate. Those few words can never adequately describe the assistance they provided. It is difficult to describe the process we all go through when we lose a pet who has given us so much love and joy. Dr. Toby and Tina understood that process and the loss we felt. They made us feel as if they had known us and Pepper for years. Their professional experience and knowledge aided us in easing the pain, minimizing the hurt, and sharing in our grief. We have always known there is a special place in heaven for our dogs who have given us so much. We know now that there is another special place in heaven for people like Tina and Dr. Toby. Their sharing and love truly made a significant difference in Pepper’s final days. With all the appreciation we can garner; Thank you Dr. Toby and Tina for the unparalleled service, kindness, and love you shared with us and with Pepper. God bless."

"This past Thursday afternoon, we had to say goodbye to our sweet Hunter. Our 14 y.o. Golden Retriever was the most handsome boy with the purest soul and we miss him more than I can explain. Because of his size and his inability to walk at the end, transporting him to his vet, Dr. Strobeck, would be stressful. Dr. Toby was able to come to the house with very little notice and help him pass calmly under his tree in his own backyard with his family around him. Dr. Toby made a very emotional situation easier for our family to go through and I am very thankful to him in handling our special guy with such kindness."

"I am deeply grateful for Dr. Toby Goldman and for the peace that he brought to our sweet, 15 year old pug, Soprano. Toby exudes a patience, compassion and warmth that blankets everyone around him. I would say that he emotionally held my hand through this entire process, listening and responding thoughtfully to all of our questions and concerns. When they day came, Toby made Soprano (and me) feel so comfortable and at ease. It truly was a tranquil and beautiful transition for Soprano, surrounded with love. Knowing that he passed in this way has brought my family and me a tremendous sense of peace and closure. Thank you Dr. Toby! ❤️"

"I wish everyone knew about and could experience lap of love if that dreadful day comes. The office staff from the very beginning was so comforting and listening to me cry and talk about my dog in a no rush conversation. Dr Toby was so kind and comforting. The process was so peaceful and after a full life Rocky couldn't have had a more relaxed and comforted passing. I can't thank lap of love enough❤️"

"I can't thank lap of love and Dr Toby enough on the behalf of Rocky and our family. This was the hardest Decision to make and my own vet was of no comfort but from the very first minute on the phone making arrangements I felt comforted by the office staff. And when Dr Toby arrived at our home he was so gentle and kind he brought a glimmer of sunshine on a very dark day. I don't think it could have possibly been more peaceful. Being able to be in your own home. Makes it less stressful for you and your pet. I was able to hold Rocky thru the entire process and he passed peacefully in my arms and for that I will always be grateful! Thank you, jamee"
