Lap of Love Veterinarian: Tina Olivieri"As a life-long cat lover, I've experienced the hell of having a beloved companion euthanized several times. Tina Olivieri of the Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice was by far the best in understanding what we and our pet needed during her last moments. First, Dr. Tina arrived quickly (and in the evening), as we felt the situation was an emergency. Her attitude immediately calmed us, and she didn't alarm our elderly cat, who we were afraid couldn't handle anything less than the most gentle, caring personality. Dr. Tina examined our cat with loving compassion, and answered all of our questions and concerns. She showed the utmost interest in our comfort, as well as the comfort of our little girl, which was a tremendous help; we've had insensitive people euthanize our pets in the past and the experiences left us feeling much worse than necessary. Don't get me wrong: We're totally bereft now that our baby is gone, but we know we did not make a mistake in seeking in-home euthanasia with Lap of Love and specifically Tina Olivieri. We'll never forget our hilarious little cat, but we're happy we had a caring vet to usher her over the borderline."Kim, Owner of MamacitaLos AngelesAugust 12, 2014
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lauren Crescenzi, DVM"Lauren was caring and considerate, and she helped explain things, while also giving us space to grieve. She made a very difficult process a little easier to bear."Steve GrayMechanicsburgAugust 12, 2014Rocky's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"I can't thank Dr. Brad enough for his compassion, his gentle manner with our dog, Chevy, as well as with me, and his kindness. From my first contact with him, he comforted and guided me every step of the way. The sadness I feel at losing Chevy is so great, but having him die in my arms on his favorite pillow, in his favorite room makes me feel much more at peace. Thank you Dr. Brad for all of your help, your professionalism and your support. You are doing such important work.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jennifer Vencil, DVM"Dr. Jennifer's follow-up and sincerity go above and beyond any Veterinarian experience we've ever had. We are so blessed to have had such a heartfelt individual guiding us through Crumpet's end of life care. We can't imagine having a more endearing person assist us and our furry babies through their final departure."Michelle LeClercSaint AugustineAugust 11, 2014Crumpet's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender"My life was turned upside down when I found I needed to put my beautiful cat Naomi to rest. She was a 16 year old mixed tabby. Naomi was extremely gentle but at the same time she was feisty. She lived with her brother Ralph most of her life but lost him to Cancer in 2012. Lap of Love was recommended to me by Coastal Veterinarian Hospital and on July 16, 2014 Dr. Katie Stender arrived at my home. She was extremely helpful, gentle and loving. I felt she sincerely understood the difficult decision we had made and was so comforting and empathetic. I was given a paw print and a tuft of Naomi's hair and she was taken from our home with dignity and grace thanks to Dr. Katie."Suzanne MullingsJacksonvilleAugust 11, 2014

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"Jeff and I are eternally grateful to Dr. Brad for helping us say goodbye to PNutt yesterday. When PNutt let us know that it was time and he was ready, Dr. Brad helped ease his pain and cross the Rainbow Bridge in our arms. Saying goodbye is never easy, but so much better to be able to do it at home, surrounded by family."George Auch-RussellPhiladelphiaAugust 11, 2014
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sunday Cozzi"Once again, Dr. Sunday provided an essential service and friendship for the Cole household. Losing a pet is a terribly traumatic event. Dr. Sunday coached us through the process once again, understanding that it never gets routine to go through such a loss. Dr. Sunday has a beautiful gift. The compassion, kindness, and support is what should be more common when dealing with the loss of a family member. We are thankful to have her to rely on during these difficult times."Tina and Chris ColeColumbiaAugust 11, 2014Sport's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender""Lap of Love"
Dr "Katie" was beside me with extreme compassion in one of my darkest hours. With her help, she made my precious Onyx’s passing comfortable and peaceful, surrounded by us and his buddies Dulce and Tuf, who loved him dearly. Although we grieve for him, we will hold forever the many happy memories of the 23 years we shared together. Thank you so very much for helping us during a difficult time, and thank you for being such a special Vet with a special calling. Dr Katie will forever be a part of my life and hold a special place in my heart! She is such an angel on earth!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jennifer Hawthorne, DVM"With the help of Dr. Jennifer Hawthorne, Solvig (she was a Champion in life just as her name means in German) went to doggie heaven last night. Lap of Love had been recommended to us and now after our experience we will recommend Jennifer & Lap of Love to anyone in need of the service. From the first call we made, just talking to Dr. Jennifer Hawthorne was reassuring. We completed our 'paperwork' a couple of weeks ago as they had recommended... so last night when 'it was time' all the information was already in place.
The experience, though hard, was handled very professionally and with the utmost care and sensitivity. Jennifer walked us through the steps and handled Solvig as if she were her own. She coordinated with the folks from Faithful Companions who were also excellent.
We found the Lap of Love website to be an excellent source of information. From reading about the type of disease we were researching and the "Quality of Life: How will I know when it is time" section (very well written) it assists with the decision making process - from both an emotional and pragmatic perspective.
Our sweet little girl was handled perfectly. Thank you!!!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Laura Theobald, DVM"DR.LAURA WAS GREAT. I HAD NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE AND I KNEW IT WAS TIME BUT I WANTED HELP TO MAKE SURE. SHE CAME OUT AND WAS VERY KIND AND UNDERSTANDING. SHE DIDN'T RUSH ME, WE TALKED ALOT AND PETTED POLLY. IN THE END WE DID WHAT WAS BEST FOR POLLY. I WILL RECOMMEND DR.LAURA AND LAP OF LOVE TO ALL MY FRIENDS. NO MATTER WHAT IT IS HARD BUT BEING AT HOME MAKED IT LESS STRESSFUL, FOR HER AND ME PLUS OLLIE WAS THERE AND SHE NEEDED TO SAY GOODBYE ALSO."CRYSTAL TIDWELLBELMONTAugust 10, 2014Polly's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dawnetta Woodruff"Once my Buddy got his grim prognosis, reality set in, I'm going to have to say goodbye to my best friend. Now what do I do, who do I turn to? Almost instantly, I thought of Dr.Dawnetta and Lap of Love. As his time drew near, it was time to make the call. Mercifully, she was able to make time the same day. With Buddy on my lap, we said our goodbyes as Dr. Dawnetta administered the Spirit Set Free shot. Buddy went so peacefully. I wrapped his body in a blanket, placed it in a basket she provided. and carried him out to her car."Donald RichterSt LouisAugust 10, 2014
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Julie Pate, DVM"Dr. Julie was extremely patient and compassionate. We are so thankful we found Lap of Love to assist us at this difficult time. Thank you Dr. Julie."Sharon McKeeBryantAugust 10, 2014Rocky's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Barry Cherno, DVM"First of all, Dr. Barry gave us the assurance that we made the right decision. The hardest part was making the phone call to schedule an appointment. Then he made the entire process comfortable and compassionate not only for our dog Missy, but for my husband and I as well. As sad as it was, I'm glad we chose to do this at home, instead of a vet office. She left this world in her home, surrounded by the people that loved her the most. I would highly recommend Dr. Barry and this company."Debra DuvoisinSaint PetersburgAugust 9, 2014

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jessica Spitzer"Mr. Pickles had been in my life for 20 years and was not only my little fur baby, but he was my best friend. He saw me at my lowest times, and my best of times. He allowed my husband Bryan to be a part of our family as well as our dog Bella and kept my belly warm when we found out I was pregnant with our first miracle baby. When it came time for him to get his rest after a life's worth of hard work, he also welcomed and greeted Dr. Jessica with his weak pur and a love before resting forever and falling asleep in my lap. Dr. Jessica somehow was able to keep me strong and calm and kept Mr. Pickles comfortable and so very peaceful. I cannot say enough how incredibly gifted she is, and so compassionate."Renee ChandlerOxnardAugust 8, 2014
