Lap of Love Veterinarian: Annie Dion-Byrd"Dr Annie we can't express enough how your compassion and caring nature helped get us through this passing of such a sweet part of our family. Thank you so much for what you do and more importantly how you carry out your passion to help get families through this difficult part of their lives."David BarnesSanfordAugust 7, 2014Shiloh's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christine Shibly"Dr. Christine was very gentle and she explained everything to us and was patient and waited for us to be ready. She was very gentle with our Big Cat. She arrived on time and answered all of our questions. I thought it was much better for kitty to be at home in his space and his surroundings with me and my son there talking to him and petting him. This was the most humane way I could let him go. Thank you, Dr. Christine."Melody SchantzIndian HeadAugust 7, 2014Big Cat (a/k/a Butterball)'s Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"I wanted to post this testimonial for others in the very difficult place of researching in home euthanasia for a beloved pet. Although the experience of having to say goodbye is incredibly hard and sad, this is the best way I can think of to say goodbye. Dr. Brad is a very kind, gentle man and having our 8 y o standard poodle at home with us in his last moments several weeks ago was so much better than our last experience of going to the veterinary hospital for euthanasia. We are left with inescapable sorrow, but not the traumatic memories of our last loss. We recently referred other family members to Dr. Brad as well, which speaks to our confidence in him. I wish anyone who is reading this comfort. Like us, you must truly love your pet and want to do the best thing for him/her. Dr. Brad helped to lessen all of our suffering as much as possible. Lap of Love is such a good organization."Leslie ShralowPhiladelphiaAugust 7, 2014
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amanda Grant"Dr. Amanda is loving, comforting and compassionate. On Saurday, August 2nd, she came into our lives at the darkest hour to be a guardian. After 16 years, our beautiful and wonderful Shelby went to rest while in the loving arms of her family and in the comfort of her home. We can't thank her enough for helping us and our little Morkie, Chanel, during that most difficult time of saying goodbye. Thank you for giving Shelby all the compassion, dignity and respect she deserved. We will forever be grateful."Suzanne PartenzaWestonAugust 7, 2014
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Toby Goldman"Dr. Toby made everything okay for us. It's such a difficult decision to make and he just made it so peaceful for our darling dog. I'm so grateful for the experience he gave to us. It was truly a gift."Karen HartlingLas VegasAugust 7, 2014Cheyenne's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Barry Cherno, DVM"Just want to express how kind and compassionate Dr. Barry Cherno was with our Lab Ruby. He sat on the floor petting her and making her comfortable with his presence while he explained exactly what was going to happen. He then answered all our questions patiently and gave us all the time we needed to say our goodbys. Dr. Barry couldn't have been more kind, professional, and compassionate during a very difficult time for our family. We would recommend Lap of Love to anyone facing this situation with their pet. Thank you, Robert and Chary Silmser"Chary SilmserValricoAugust 6, 2014
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Shannon Skevakis"Dr Shannon was truly an angel for Nala & for our family. Nala was suffering & hated going to the vets. Dr Shannon was compassionate, caring, professional & couldn't have handled Nala more lovingly. She helped our Nala cross over to the Rainbow Bridge in a gentle & caring way. I was a blubbering mess, as were my girls & Dr Shannon was nothing less than patient & kind. I will be forever grateful to her."Jennifer O'ConnorCedar KnollsAugust 5, 2014Nala's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jen Bansel, DVM"Found out about your services today in our time of need for our 15 yr old lab Max. He received the most compassionate ending to a wonderful life. Very sweet to us as we said our good byes. Thank you!"Angela PhillipsBronsonAugust 5, 2014
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"Dr. Brad was the most understanding vet I've even had. He listened as I explained Annie's symptoms and was very understanding that we weren't ready just yet but "just touching base" until we were. Then when we thought it might be time, he assuaged our concerns about it "being the right time". Once at our house, he couldn't have been more compassionate and reverent. We are truly grateful to have found Lap of Love and Dr Brad to assist us in this difficult time."S H TurgeonNewtown SquareAugust 4, 2014Annie's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Hogan, DVM"Although the circumstances were sad, Dr. Erin's calm presence and kind words were a great comfort to all of us. She explained everything well, and was incredibly gentle with Scirocco. I could tell he felt comfortable with her-- he had no distress. I am deeply troubled by suffering, and had a clear vision in my mind of how I hoped he would eventually pass into death. And this was, indeed, exactly as I had wanted for him. No suffering, just drowsiness and then sleep. I can't thank Dr. Erin enough for her empathy and expertise. She is a true angel."Leslie MartinRiversideAugust 4, 2014Scirocco's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Annie Dion-Byrd"Dr. Annie was Scooter's Doggie-Angel! She was very caring and loving to Scooter and to us, explained everything she was doing and why. Lap of Love was recommended by Scooter's regular Vet and for very good reason. Her professionalism shined though her veterinarian skills and caring hands. She was the ultimate angel for Scooter and helped us through this very gut-wrenching, difficult step. She was a blessing for all of us. THANK YOU, DR. ANNIE! God bless you for helping all the animal families! I would highly recommend Lap of Love services for any family in need for in-home services to help with the final moments at home."Bonnie ZickgrafDavenportAugust 3, 2014Scooter's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Laura Allison, DVM"Dr. Laura was absolutely wonderful! So caring and passionate about life, for both animals and humans. I love that this service is not only available but that there are people who can help ease suffering during an animals last few minutes on Earth, as well as my own. She was very sweet in listening to me reminisce about Daisy's life and a true comfort to me with her gentleness throughout our visit. Dr. Laura, Thank you for everything you do!"Shannon MigginsPembroke PinesAugust 3, 2014Daisy's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jennifer Cook, DVM"I wish to thank Lap of Love Vet Jennifer Cook for coming to the house and easing our old boy's pain. He was just so very tired. We got to sit with Buddy, hold and talk with him to the end. Jennifer provided support and confirmation that it was the right time and that we were doing the right thing for Buddy. It helped that she said we had given Buddy a wonderful life and that he was beautiful and well cared for. She will treat your baby like it was her baby."Alania and Louie IveyKnoxvilleAugust 3, 2014Buddy's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Mary Gardner"Dr. Mary is an angel that came into our home and turned our sadness over having to put down our beloved lab less painful. Words cannot express our gratitude to her and what she does. Her compassion, kindness, warmth, and true love of animals meant a great deal. Her gentleness and respect for our dog was truly appreciated. Our Nellie, and my family and I could not have gone through this heartbreaking time so smoothly and peaceful without her. Thank you so much, Dr. Mary!"Debbie RakowitzMission ViejoAugust 3, 2014Nellie's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christine Shibly"Molly was attended to by the most compassionate vet, Christine Shibly. From the moment that Dr. Shibly touched Molly, I could see that Molly was at ease and comfortable with her. Dr. Shibly was so thorough in her explanation to me and she could not have been kinder to both Molly and I during the process. I will forever be grateful for the way Dr. Shibley cared for Molly during her final time on this earth."Karen StiansenFairfaxAugust 3, 2014Molly's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"Andy came to us from an Akita rescue organization. But he wasn't an Akita. He was a long curly-haired fellow with a half-black tongue. Often you could see his eyes big and brown looking out from behind his long bangs, seeming to know your next move before you did. He trained us well—he would lean his burley body against you when he wanted you to stay, and bump the bed when he wanted you to wake up. He was our owner, care-giver and teacher.

Dr. Brad was an emissary of peace and strength and respect. He gently helped Andy (and us) through the transition of departure, and led us to a higher ground where we could join Andy in spirit. We will ever be grateful for Dr. Brad."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender"Dr Katie was there for us when our baby could not go on. We came home Monday night and he was unable to move around and his kidneys had finally failed. We stayed up with him all night and didn't think he would make it till morning. The next day we had to face that it was his time and the thought of him lingering I pain was too much to bear. I found Dr Katie in the lap of love website and called her. From our first conversation I could tell she was a very special person. She understood that she needed to come soon and was with us within a few hours. She looked over Simba with such tenderness and really listened to us. It was the hardest decision and the worst possible day , yet Dr Katie made sure we knew he was ready and let us say goodbye to our baby Simba with love and we will always have a special place in our hearts for her."Audrey KelleyJacksonvilleAugust 2, 2014Simba's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Melanie Cohen, DVM"When our little Chia's vet recommended euthanasia after all medical interventions weren't working and she was in renal failure, we insisted on bringing her home where she could die with her family there. My sister-in-law had used Lap of Love for her dog and told us what a wonderful "experience" it was. I contacted Lap of Love and was treated with compassion and empathy. We scheduled Dr. Melanie to come to our home the following day because we didn't want our Chia to suffer. However, she died at 11:pm the evening we brought her home. Dr. Melanie was wonderful when I called her the next morning to tell her Chia was gone. She provided guidance on cremation and was willing to come if we needed her. We will never be able to thank Cheryl, Lap of Love coordinator and Dr. Melanie for their kindness."Candie DriskellChesapeakeAugust 2, 2014Chia Truffles's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Juliana Lyles, DVM"I will be forever grateful for the kindness and compassion showed by these vets to our sweet Ginger at the end of her life (as well as to us, her family). What would have been a traumatic and terrifying (for all of us!) trip to the vet was instead a peaceful, gentle transition, done in the comfort of our home, surrounded with love and affection. They did a wonderful job explaining the process to us, and were extremely helpful, answering our questions and encouraging us to share with them all the good memories of our beloved pet. I highly recommend them for hospice care and euthanasia when that unfortunate time comes."Helena ZielinskiBerkeleyAugust 2, 2014
Lap of Love Veterinarian: David Rousseau, DVM"I am eternally grateful to Dr. Dave Rousseau. My beloved 15 year old Soft coated Wheaten
Terrier named Bailey truly made his transition in the Lap of Love.
Dr. Dave is so kind and totally empathetic, I was so relieved to see my Bailey just smile and close his eyes without any fear, or discomfort.
My Bailey closed his eyes on my bed with his head in my hands and pillow. I cannot say enough about In-Home Euthanasia versus any other way.
Bailey lost complete mobility in his back legs and was completely deaf and saw shadows. I held out until he was ready and he clearly let us know he was ready. I dreaded this day but I knew Bailey would not want to live with out any mobility.
Bailey was a hiker a "True Mountaineer" Yes he hiked allot of the Appalachian Trail and ran and always jumped numerous stairs at a time. He was a social butterfly always wanted to be on the go. He is my heart and soul and terribly missed but I Want you to know from the bottom of my heart. Dr. Dave Rousseau is the best.

Thank You so much for your Care and kindness on July 22, 2014 to my darling Bailey.
Best Wishes,
Paula and Paul"
