Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dana Lewis, DVM"Dr. Lewis was a blessing to me on Monday. She made a very painful situation so much more peaceful and bearable! Losing Juliette was heartwrenching but I would not have it any other way than how it happened with Dr. Lewis. She was wonderful and she allowed me to give Juliette the gift of taking her last breath in the comfort of my arms in her own home surrounded by lots of love and all her favorite things."Jill HallWake Forest, North CarolinaMarch 8, 2013Juliette's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kim Simons, DVM"As this was one of the hardest decisions of my life, using the services of "Lap of Love" was one of my best decisions. Dr. Kim Simons was there for my dear Bailey and my family. She was professional, so compassionate, and was so helpful in helping us through this difficult decision and time in our lives. I know my Bailey of 11 yrs, passed peacefully in the comfort of her home with all those around her that loved her. Thank you Dr. Simon for all your help through this difficult time."Lauri GladstoneBoca Raton, FloridaMarch 7, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dani McVety, DVM"While I had planned to use Lap of Love services (Dr. Dani McVety), my baby passed before I could do so. However Lisa was extremely patient, warm, and always there to talk when I had questions. They also sent a heartfelt sympathy card afterwards, which was extremely thoughtful and kind considering their euthanasia service was not used. When going through such rough times (battling Mast Cell Tumors and undiagnosed anemia) it's nice to know there are people that care and know what you're going through, and are there for you. Thank you for the amazing jobs you do. Sincerely, Rocky's mama."Teisha KosibaClearwater, FloridaMarch 5, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Robyn Baldwin, DVM"When informed by the doctor that my beloved companion cat was no longer responding to the oral chemotherapy that we that we hoped would control the tumor that returned post-surgery and a first round of IV chemo, I knew I had to have an alternative to bringing him back to the office for his final moments.
Our Vet Specialist informed us of Lap of Love, hospice and compassionate euthanasia. My daughters and I read the material and visited the website. It sounded like something we would prefer. I pre-registered our sweet cat and when the final days seemed imminent I had my daughter make “the Call”.
Dr. Robyn Baldwin arrived and I was so uncomfortable. How could someone walking into our lives at that time really help us at all? Well, how she does it I cannot say but it seemed that within moments she became instant family. Her manner was to accept a portion of our pain and help us envision a better tomorrow for all.
After visiting with us for a while, the time had come when we recognized that we were ready. We surrounded our majestic feline friend while he passed, me sensing that the energy of our love was helping usher and transport him to a much greater place. It was most eloquent without any words being said. Our hearts and souls said it all. Dr. Robyn shared every moment and feeling. Her sensitivity and guidance was a gift. Not everyone is capable of such empathy and compassion. My appreciation is endless.
Dr. Robyn has been in contact and her words are always helpful and genuine. Lap of Love provided us with exactly what we needed at this delicate time. We were blessed to have had Dr. Robyn with us.

Thank you Lap of Love."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Robyn Baldwin, DVM"Deciding to put our dog to rest was probably the hardest decision we had to make. We knew it was time for our Roxie when she was unable to control her bowels and started to uncontrollably pace the house. We didn't want to drag her to the vet one last time, where it wasn't her normal surroundings and we didn't want her to be scared. Choosing Lap of Love was the best decision we made. Dr. Robyn was so comforting, understanding, and compassionate. We knew our beloved Roxie was in great hands. She passed away in peace and at home where she was loved. We miss her greatly. Thank you Dr. Robyn for making this very hard decision just a little easier."LISA SPILLERPLANTATION, FloridaMarch 1, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sunday Cozzi, DVM"My wife and I recently lost our beloved, quirky, rambunctious klutz of a Maine Coon, mixed, mutt of a cat (Gluten) to cancer. Thankfully Sunday (pardon my use of a first name as opposed to a title but you struck us as a friend, the title seems a bit formal after meeting you) helped us with the transition between our beloved "best boy" and the hereafter. Despite the pain inherent with losing a fuzzy family member our experience with Sunday's compassion, help & guidance was absolutely amazing. Lap of Love, and Sunday specifically, exceeded our expectations 10 fold. I would have it no other way. If our beloved Gluten was here with me now "helping" me type as he sat in my lap he would agree 100%. Thank you for what you do. Thank you for your beautiful memorial in honor of our beautiful boy. You've touched our lives immeasurably."Chris ColeColumbia, S. CarolinaMarch 1, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amanda Grant, DVM"Our family had to make the most difficult decision we have probably had to make our long lived family member “STORM” had been sick for several months with tumors all over his body. He also had hip issues so walking was very painful and before he would just lay around and not do much so we ended up rescuing a lab puppy named "SOOKIE" to maybe give him more life. She gave him so much joy. He has been able to act like a puppy again when they would play in our yard. He also taught her to protect us and be loyal to us and she is doing a great job right now as the time was ending.

My family and I want to thank Amanda for her professionalism in laying him to rest. She was very kind and sweet to our family and Storm.

She gave him the respect and dignity that he so deserved and was very patient with all of us grieving. She also didn't mind taking a few pictures of our whole family and saying a prayer with us circling him. I felt even though she didn't know us she was very connected to "STORM & SOOKIE" as well as our family that she hugged all of us.

AMANDA thank you so much for being so understanding we will cherish this moment you gave us forever. <3

We will always cherish this day even though it was a very sad one I know his spirit was with us till the end. my children 6 yrs, 12 yrs, 18 yrs & 19 yrs were very touched as my hubby and I.

If you have to make the decision I had to make I would highly recommend this company. Valerie was also very sweet arranging everything and also this was all last minute.

R.I.P Storm 2/25/13

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Juliana Lyles, DVM"I cannot even begin to say how grateful we are to Dr. Julie, who so caringly and compassionately helped us when it was time to say goodbye to our beloved Aussie. From the first phone call to the many emails that gave us advice and guidance, her professionalism and kindness were evident, as was her genuine concern for Aussie and our situation. As difficult as it was to say goodbye, having Dr. Julie there to explain the process helped alleviate many fears and doubts, and while the tears were flowing, there was also a sense of peace in Aussie's passing, in that he was in the security and comfort of his own home surrounded by his family. Dr Julie made all the difference, and we thank her from the bottom of our hearts."Susan GottliebPalatine, IllinoisFebruary 25, 2013

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sara Fletcher, DVM"A few days ago I had to make the very difficult decision to have my sweet Cinnamon euthanized. We were not aware that we had cancer as he hadn't had any symptoms or problems before, and to learn how ill he was and prepare to say goodbye to him in such a short time (less than 24 hours) was heartbreaking. We knew we wanted Cin to pass away peacefully and in a familiar place, and we were glad this was an option. I have never had to have any of my pets euthanized before and I was trying to prepare myself for it. From my very first contact with Dr. Sara on the phone, she was extremely compassionate, understanding, and professional. We were able to make arrangements to have the procedure done the same day due to his very quick decline. When she arrived, she was so kind and understanding and supportive, and we felt like she already knew him and cared about him as much as we did. She explained every part of the process very clearly and professionally and made sure we understood things. As grief-stricken as we were and continue to be, we are immensely grateful to Dr. Sara for helping our boy pass peacefully and return to God. Everything was done with the dignity and love that our Cinnamon deserved. Dr. Sara is an absolute angel and my family and I are so happy our veterinarian's office suggested her to us. She has a true gift for her profession and she is very clearly dedicated to it. We thank you, Dr. Sara, from the bottom of our hearts."Jennifer HobgoodJamestown, North CarolinaFebruary 18, 2013

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates, VMD"My cat Stoli was dying of cancer and absolutely hated going to the vet. Getting her in a traveling bag was such a source of stress that I promised her I would not do it again once I realized she was untreatable. I found Lap of Love and it was such a relief to know that I could put her at rest in her home. Dr. Brad came and was so patient and loving with Stoli. It must be very difficult to see pets for the first time and have it be their final moments, so I applaud his graciousness to the situation."Blair JonesPhiladelphia, PennsylvaniaFebruary 15, 2013
