Coal
3/18/2005 - 10/10/2018Coal, my West Virginia boy, My Terminator, my protector, collapsed last night and I slept all night with him, gave him water and continually attempted to lift him up.
He never stood up again but was in very good spirits, and ate a whole lot of food. We shared mashed potatoes and gravy this morning.
13 1/2 years of unconditional love and protection.

Lap of Love came this AM and relieved him.

His bed is still here. His big blingy beautiful leather collar, and I sobbed as I fed only three dogs instead of four this evening....
I can’t believe he is gone. But I know he’s playing with his pals. Pain free, and strong.
He was 100lbs of fierce when he needed to be, I always felt safe.
Coal was kind to small critters, cats, rabbits, ferrets, birds, and tiny puppies.
RIP my loyal Coal of West Virginia....I’ll always love you
