1/9/2010 - 1/21/2021Today my sweet Byron Bear passed peacefully at home from my arms into God’s. Thank you, Dr. Jessica, for the compassionate care.

I got Byron for free when he was 9 weeks old. He was a breeder reject due to congenital defects, namely his signature “chicken wing” in place of a front right leg. Despite his “defects,” Byron was a perfect dog in my eyes. He never barked (except at his toys, which was really cute), he never had a potty accident (except when Mom wouldn’t get out of bed on Saturday and Sunday mornings), he loved every person and every dog he met, and obviously, he was beyond adorable.

I always said that Byron was an angel from God—that God made him specifically for me. I truly believe that, and I’m eternally grateful to God for choosing me to be Byron’s mom. Byron made my life so much better, and I cherished every moment with him. I’m incredibly lucky to have had him in my life.

Byron, I miss you so much, and I can’t wait to see you again. What a joyous reunion it will be. Until then, run like the wind in Heaven. I love you always. -Mama
