8/26/2007 - 1/14/2021JD came into our lives as a rescue from North Shore Animal League in the fall of 2007. He had a difficult start in life being abandoned but found a loving home and soon “ruled the roost” as he grew up and always kept the house abuzz with his mischief.

There was never a dull moment with JD around, and we soon learned to hide our hats, shoes and socks or we would need to reclaim them with quick, playful run around the dining room table and sometimes even ending in a tug of war.

JD kept us warm when we huddled together with no power during Hurricane Sandy. He comforted us during other tough times when we needed a laugh or someone to chill with and he was always the vigilant sentinel when any strangers abound, filling the house with his powerful bark to keep us safe.

We are all going to miss Doggo, Babbnuch, Smoochy-Poochie - or our JD.

JD was not just any dog, he was a fun loving, playful, loyal and devoted family member. His dedication to you and your family was most favorite responsibility such that it was not even an obligation to him at all, it was love.Heather Manfredi - January 19, 2021
