Pennie
5/1/2017 - 5/30/2020Rest in peace my Pennie. I never imagined I'd be a cat owner. I found this baby in a bush outside of my job at ClimaStor. She just appeared one day and would run out of her bush to greet me everytime I went to work. One day when it was raining, I found her soaking wet and it became clear to me that this was not a feral cat and that she didn't know how to take care of herself in the wild. So I scooped her up and told her I'd find her a good home. Well, it was clear to everyone that Pennie chose me and then I had a cat.

Her first vet visit revealed she had feline leukemia and her next visit revealed she was somewhere between 12 and 14 years old! So I figured I'd give her the best life possible and she'd probably be gone in a few months. That was 3 years ago! Making her somewhere between 15 and 17 today.

Pennie was more dog than cat. She was needy and loving. Never raised a paw to or bit anyone. She just wanted to be in your lap and loved.

Pennie was also tough old broad and she became such an important part of Mario and I's life. Mario talked a tough talk, as he never was close to a pet growing up, but he babied that girl more than I did, and the man that never cries did exactly that when he held her as she passed on today.

Making the decision today to put her down was not easy but with the support of all my family and friends that also loved her, we were able to do what was best for her. When going though my contacts to see who I needed to let know what was going to happen this weekend, I realized just how many lives my cat touched. Trust me, it was a lot of people. That is rare and beautiful.

Carly from Lap of Love came to our home so Pennie was able to take her last breaths at home as calm as could be in her daddies arms. I couldn't have asked for it to have gone any better and reccomend this lady to anyone that needs her services.

We love you Pennie, life won't be the same without you. Thank you for all the love you brought into our lives.
