Light a Candle

Five years now, D.... I still think of you often and reminisce of all the good times we had together. Life has taken me on quite the adventure since you left. I wish you were here to share it with me, though I feel you in spirit.
I hope you've found your place in Heaven and are enjoying yourself.
I love you, Lovebug

To my Very Special Granddog, Daisy. From the very first time we met til the last time I saw you, you were a wonderful, loving companion. I remember all the spoiling that went on when Mom was out of sight. Peanuts??? Oh, yeah!!! Loved how you would sit up for so long, riding on the pontoon, walks down the road, rolling in the grass, chasing the sand hill cranes who had the nerve to walk on your turf. Beeegawk, Beeegawk!! Wings don't fail me now!!! You almost got 'em. How you accidentally fell in the lake and actually had to swim back to the shore. What a laugh we had. So many memories... 14 years is a very long time in a dog life... I rested peacefully in the knowledge that you were there to watch over Shannon on her travels across the country. I will miss you, forever. Love you, Baby Girl!!Jane Miggins - August 4, 2014
The Creation
When God had made the earth and sky the flowers and the trees, He then made all the animals the fish, the birds and bees. And when at last He'd finished not one was quite the same. He said, "I'll walk this world of mine and give each one a name." And so He traveled far and wide and everywhere He went, a little creature followed Him until it's strength was spent. When all were named upon the earth and in the sky and sea, the little creature said, "Dear Lord, there's not one left for me." Kindly the Father said to him, "I've left you to the end. I've turned my own name back to front and called you dog, My friend."

Hi again Miss Daisy, it's me, Dr. Laura. With tears in my eyes I am reading your momma's dedication to your life. The last 14 years did provide many adventures and travels, boredom was not even part of your vocabulary! I know you are contented now in a different way than you were down here and that does my heart good. Love, the strongest word with the most intimate meaning out of all of them. You received that in abundance, that is clear. Now, you hold on to that love until Shannon gets there, then the two of you can release it all into Eternity for then you shall have one another. Please tell my Raisin I miss her when you see her. She is the chubby chocolate Lab eating vanilla ice cream, second cloud to the right of Rainbow Bridge. I know she would love to meet you, keep you company and share her ice cream with you. xoxoLaura Allison - August 3, 2014
