11/1/2006 - 11/27/2020Chase, you were a wonderful dog. You made us laugh at your antics and appreciate your love for life. Who knew that a dog could peel back a banana and eat all of the fruit inside? Or, that a dog could be so excited about getting attention by the vet that she would summersault? Or, prance in the snow and smile because you knew the snow fell just for you? You loved to run, play catch with the ball, amuse yourself with your hedgehog toys, eat cookies especially from Ed, and snuggle up with us in bed. You made us remember that life is more than work. You had the softest ears and prettiest face. As we said, you had everything a person would want - long legs, skinny waist, beautiful hair, and a great personality. We miss you so much.Beth CunninghamHyattsville, MarylandDecember 1, 2020

Dear Beth and Dave,

I'm so sorry about the loss of your beloved Chase. I hope that your hearts heal and that in time your memories of him make you smile. I'm sure he is with you, running in the sun, and still loving you both on the other side.

My deepest condolences and warm hugs,

What a treasure and a gift Chase was! And how incredibly she will be missed. She was one lucky dog to have landed in your home, and you were lucky to have her. My condolences on losing your sweet girl 💕Liz Caron - December 5, 2020
What a wonderful, loving, goofy, happy pup. It is a blessing that you had Chase and she had you. My heart hurts for you, losing a pet is so difficult. Big (virtual) hugs.

I hope you and Dave are doing okay at this time. I know how important Chase was to you, and it's clear how much you loved her. <3 AlexisAlexis Knaub - December 3, 2020
Oh, that face. Who could resist. And of course, the banana-rama peel . Who can forget.

I knew this day would come. But, even with that, so, so hard.

Xavier and I share your sadness. Whether four legs or two, still a companion, not easy. But she knew, and it sounds like she made it easier for you and Dave.

My heart goes out to you and all who loved Chase. Nothing is as hard as saying goodbye but I know that Chase had the best life a dog could as for. I'm glad Chase was able to share their life, love, and time with you.

Dear Beth,
I am so, so sorry to hear of this loss: how heartbreaking. It is terribly difficult to lose a long-beloved furbaby! The unconditional love of a dog is like no other; they really are angels in disguise. They take us out of the hub-bub of the day and focus our hearts in the present and in their furry, devoted love. They never fail to bring a smile to one's face.
Thank you for sharing about Chase. I pray sweet memories bring some solace to your aching heart.
All blessings be to Chase across the Rainbow Bridge.
WIth my deepest sympathies,
Anne-Barrie Hunter - December 2, 2020
