Kitty Mays

We weren't looking for a pet, certainly not a cat of black
But one day you showed up on our deck, and kept on coming back.
We let you in, we gave you food, you always wanted to stay,
When it got late, we told you to go home, we knew you weren't a stray.
You wouldn't leave our deck, you stayed staring at our door
Waiting for me to come back down from the third floor.
You won us over, moved right in and even shared our bed,
We'd wake up in the morning, you sleeping at our head.
It's hard to remember life before you, it's like you have always been here,
But then came the dreaded diagnosis, damn cancer is never fair.
You'd hear me cry in bed at night and jump up to comfort me
You'd lick the tears from my face; there was no place you'd rather be.
We fed you lobster rolls from Davio's, sea bass from Capital Grille,
You still did all the things you liked, but then started to go downhill.
You weren't your same Kitty, cancer made you weak and frail
You put up a good front for a while, always wagging that tail.
We know you loved us Kitty and we too love you so,
But now the day is here and we have to let you go.
You were always such a good boy, and don't deserve to be in pain
And I know deep down, our paths will cross again.
We will be with you again someday, you will find Chris and me,
We will see you on the other side, with your favorite Boars Head Turkey!!

Mama loves and misses you so much Kitty. Daddy too!!

I'm lighting this candle for your sweet Kitty, playing now by the Rainbow Bridge, and in memory of our beloved little Harry. With love from Charlie, me and Gigi. Much love and hugs at this sad time. xxxxSue Ryan - October 1, 2014
We're both sorry to read your news today. We know it has been a hard, long road for all 3 of you. At least Kitty isn't suffering anymore...and you did all you possibly could...caring for and loving him being the most important.
Love, Dad/Harry and Carole
