3/14/2004 - 8/17/2016Ashley (Australian Shepard/Lab mix) came into our lives in late August, 2004 and exited our lives on August 18, 2016. Twelve years of absolute fun, friendship and love.

Before she entered our lives, we never could figure out “dog people”. How could grown adults go so nuts over a furry, smelly, messy and slobbering animal? It didn’t take long for us to figure out what a canine can mean to your lives. We are “dog people” and damn proud of it.
Ashley got terminal throat cancer over a year ago.

We did all we could (as well as our Vet oncologist) but it finally caught up with our little girl. We had to make a heart breaking decision to end her suffering. Our pack has one less friend in it and we are empty.

This is not only a tribute to Ashley but to all of you that have posted here and loss their canine best friend. The canine-human bond is special to both the four legged and the two legged. So to all of you and us as well, we miss our pet. However, twelve years of laughter and smiles are still with us every day.

What a precious angel. I I know you will miss her, and she has added immeasurable joy to your lives. How brave of you to do the best thing possible for her in her time of need. You have a beautiful angel looking after you now!!

Thinking of you both, and sending love, hugs and prayers to you.
