Allie
3/2/2017 - 1/1/2017Allie was my beloved. I adopted her as a senior on March 2, 2014 from the Las Vegas Boxer Rescue. I always felt sorry for senior dogs that get surrendered and wanted to give one a forever home. I thought about getting a Boxer for the first time and just when I was going to go looking, friends of mine were fostering her. We met and I know she was the girl for me. Allie was the best dog, so full of love, warmth, companionship and goofiness. She was well behaved and everyone loved her. She went to heaven on Sunday January 1 at approximately 6 PM after suffering from lung cancer. I am so sad as she filled my life with such warmth and laughter. The house is so empty now. Although I only had her for less than 3 years, there was such a deep bond between us. I will always love Allie and she will always be a cherished part of my heart. Until we meet again Allie, RIP my love!Denise LahavLas Vegas, NevadaJanuary 5, 2017

I too never had the opportunity to meet Allie but I am sure she'd want you to give her furever home to another shelter dog. She would not want you to be sad and lonely. She was a wonderful friend and its sad to see her go, our hearts go out to you knowing the whole the is left after a loved pet leaves us. Feel comfort in knowing that crossed the Rainbow Bridge loved and comforted.Gary Dranow - January 7, 2017
If you ever met Allie you couldn't help but love her. I used to work on Allies house ( and yes it was Allies house but she was so sweet she allowed Denise to live there also lol). I finally had to confess yesterday that I was a soft touch when I was at the house and that Allie and I always shared my lunch as I found out early on that one of her favorite things was a good chicken sandwich lol I just couldn't say no to those big beautiful brown eyes especially when she threw on the sad look when you tried to resist he charms lol. While I was working she always sat next to me and watched so closely I kept waiting for her to ask if she could help lol. When I go back to visit this summer I know the house will feel very empty without my girl there but I know her mommy and I will sit and share many memories of her and now no matter where I am she's sitting next to me watching with that funny curious look on her sweet face. I am so sorry to hear about Allie. My heart goes out to you - I know how hard it is to say goodbye, but as many friends have reminded me, it isn't goodbye forever, just for now. I am firm believer in the Rainbow Bridge, and I am sure Allie was welcomed by Abby and others than have gone before. Run free, Miss Allie - you'll always be in your Momma's heart!Liz Dran0w - January 7, 2017

Denise, it was so nice of you to welcome me into your home and spend time with Allie. I can see that she brought happiness to many people. I pray when you think of Allie, you remember good times. Be comforted dear friend. Give your worries to Jesus because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7A Friend - January 6, 2017
I'm honored to light a candle for you sweet Allie. Thank you for finding your human Mommy & bringing her so much love. I know we always think dogs are the lucky ones to find a home, but we are the lucky ones as humans to have our lives touched by an amazing dog. You are now an angel to watch over her forever.Gretchen Prins - January 6, 2017
My husband and I met Allie when we attended a party at Denise's home last year. She instantly stole our hearts! Her eyes told the story of her long life, that showed in her frail body, but her spirt was strong and her love for Denise was apparent in the way she watched her every move. We will miss seeing you Allie when we come to Denise's home but her spirt will forever live in her home and in her heart! Denise you were a wonderful fur mommy to Allie, she was blessed to have you as her mommy♡Heidi Ritchey - January 6, 2017

Allie, I knew and came to love you after seeing your stories and pictures on facebook. Such a comfort to your mom and that gave me comfort. Those who love animals and especially the aging pets deserve the love of a doggie such as you. See you In Heaven one day and say hello to my beloved pets up there already. 💗💗💜💜Susie Kochsmeier - January 6, 2017
I never had the pleasure of meeting Allie, but I know how much she meant to Denise. Our fur babies will always be in our hearts after they cross that Rainbow Bridge. Treasure all the memories and pictures, and be comforted knowing what a great life you gave her. Good people take care of the animals. Hugs, my friend.Fran Bracha - January 6, 2017

Allie's sweet and gentle soul was always on display in those beautiful eyes. (And man, was she ever a photogenic furbaby!! Always so pretty and lady-like.) I can't think of two hearts better suited for each other than yours and hers.Liz Lane - January 6, 2017
Allie was the sweetest dog, she loved to be scratched, and her treats💗. I will miss her.Anna DeGraeve - January 6, 2017
Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Allie, I feel like I knew her thru her pictures. She will always be with you Denise! Thank you for taking her into your home and giving her all the love she could ever want. Sadly senior babies get overlooked because most people want a puppy. She was a lucky girl to have you as her mama! RIP sweet Allie!Maria Snyder - January 6, 2017
