Light a Candle

Today marks a year ago we lost Lucy our red lobster. We still miss you so much. Laying at our feet during a Thanksgiving family feast, sitting next to Grandpa waiting for the next spaghetti noodle he would drop into your foaming mouth, falling to the floor and crying with excitement when you saw us come home...8 yrs of happiness you brought to our family far outweighs the 1 day of sadness and loss experienced a year ago. I've never loved a four legged friend as much as I love you. Thank you for being my first lap of love.Julie Klein - October 26, 2014
There is no breed greater than the goldens who only live to be loving, caring and devoted to their owners. We lost a golden, Simi, who contributed to our entire family life for 13 years. We understand the grief and the void of a devoted family member. Lucy was the perfrect family member and brought to you everything any one could want in unconditional love. You framed your life around Lucy. I know thee will never be another Lucy, but the need for animal companionship will strike again and hope you will find a dog to match the devotion that you and Lucy shared.Dianne Javier - November 7, 2013
How does one explain the depth of love felt for one beautiful red haired Golden Retriever known as Lucy. Lulu as we often called her was my daughter Amy's little girl. A rare breed indeed, she was always showing her love and gentle caring ways to all who came to know her. We will cherish all the memories of the beautiful times shared at family get togethers, walks in the woods, our beach vacations and times you spent at Gram and Grampa's home. You always were so happy to greet us. I will miss my Lucy girl at Thanksgiving and giving you that extra turkey under the table. You have a lot of family and friends that will look out for you in heaven. Until we meet again, you will always be in our hearts. Amy, in closing your Lucy was a carbon copy of you with her sweet and gentle ways. We are sorry for the loss of your little girl.

Always our love to one precious girl,

Lucy Goosey Girl, pretty and special (even when you look like a happily drowned rat in the third picture above!), gentle and sweet, and loved and loving beyond words... You don't need to be told how much you were loved nor how terribly you are missed... You don't need to be reminded of all the friends who think of you and who count themselves so lucky for knowing your sweet self... I know, too, that you don't need to be assured that your Mum will be okay because she will...she will weep and hurt and grieve terribly but she will be okay because your love for her is always there, always strong and true, removed and but not gone, forever and for always...her Lucy Goosey Girl.Dr. Vanessa Olenick - October 30, 2013

I will dearly miss this wonderful golden. Lucy was a real treasure!Jon McCormack - October 29, 2013
Lucy had the sweetest disposition of a small pack of dogs that walked, ran and played together on a daily basis. When the others (my dog Lily included), got too wild Lucy would calm them down with her gentle bark. I thought of her as the tender-hearted Mom who put up with the youngsters' high spirits with tenderness and love. I'm going to miss seeing her running with the others; something very special is gone from our pack. However, what is left behind is her spirit which lives within the hearts of all those - humans and canines - who had the joy of knowing her
and experiencing the warmth that shone from those lovely brown eyes.

I'm not sure of anything more painful than losing your best friend Amy. I'm so sorry about your baby girl. Lucy couldn't have been any sweeter. She was definitely the best thing that ever happened to you, and you the best thing that happened to her. You'll never forget the times spent together. You will see each other again; she'll be waiting for you.

I will miss you too Lucy. I'll never forget all the good times shared. Tell my buddy I was asking for him. We'll all play together again.

You were loved by many Lucy!
