Saffron, aged at least 18 years, left this realm of existence peacefully at home in his mother’s lap on October 26, 2013. He led an adventurous life, residing in the Pittsburgh area, on the tropical island of St. Croix, and finally in the enchanted city of New Orleans. Full of personality and cattitude, Saffron delighted friends and acquaintances with his charming meows, abundance of fluffy fur, and insistent affection. May angels carry his spirit across the Rainbow Bridge, where brother Edgrrr is waiting to romp together in sundrenched catnip fields. Mom sends forever love, thankful for the blessing of this amazing friendship.Lisa VaughanNew Orleans, LouisianaOctober 29, 2013

Thank you for sharing the touching tale of charming Saffron; I am so sorry for your loss. I too was adopted by a stray: my Rudy passed away (memorial #331 here) after seeing only three springs and three summers, so I can't imagine the magnitude of what you are going through after 18 wonderful years together. As for Edgrrr, just hearing his name makes me wish I had known him : ). May they frolic together in your dreams until you are reunited.Glen Harris - November 21, 2013
I LOVE his name.... plus I am partial to Orange Tabbies - the best in the world.

My thoughts are with you!

Saffron truly was the sweetest (and handsome I might add!) little boy. I know you have so many wonderful memories with him over the years and travels! Not only was he your friend, he was your family and that's never easy to lose. I know the memories you have of him will keep his spirit alive eternally and that you will see him and Edgrrr again one day. You are in my thoughts during this difficult time.
