Tiger Spicmiler-lewis
1/1/1994 - 4/6/2014Tiger has taught me about love, endurance, persistence, kindness, forgiveness, and friendship more than any human ever could or will. There were other cats in my life, for shorter time, but none gave or inspired me to give as much as Tiger did. He brought out the best in me and stretched my heart's ability to love unconditionally. Tiger also brought caring, love, and generosity out of other people, either towards himself or towards me. Most importantly, he taught each person that he or she matters, even to this brave abandoned/lost cat who would show up at neighbors' doors out of nowhere and visit with them at their porch or, if let in, stay on their armchair or sofa, just to keep company. Tiger did not like other animals, but he adored people, although his previous human owners have most likely deserted him. He would often beg to be picked up, and loved wrapping his paws around people's necks, drooling while 'necking', and purring insatiably. He was an extremely calm cat, laid back but active, with a desire to play and begging for treats until the very end of his 20-year long and remarkable life. I urge anyone with the ability to adopt a stray cat that chooses you, to at least once in your lifetime allow this cat to make your life better, like Tiger made mine. Tiger was named after "Winnie the Pooh" character Tigger, because when younger, he tended to pounce on my other cat, just to startle her and see her move.Sanda Spicmiler-LewisMetairie, LouisianaApril 21, 2014

Sanda, My heart goes out to you. Tiger was a blessing to you that you treasured & adored. You will always have a special place in your heart for him. What a beautiful eulogy/tribute to him! You are a class act & his death was handled so delicately. I hope time heals your wounds & that Schitzo helps you too! Sorry this is belated. I did respond to you through email but this site I find more appropriate.Monica Caminita - May 14, 2014
