5/6/2008 - 2/22/2020In my heart always. I will love you forever. I am the lucky one. Thank you for being my baby girl and companion. Thank you for making my life better. Thank you for always being there for me and for all the cuddles.
You will never know how much I love you. You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey. You never know girl how much I love you. Please don't take my Veela away.

“There is a cycle of love and death that shapes the lives of those who choose to travel in the company of animals. It is a cycle unlike any other. To those who have never lived through its turnings and walked it’s rocky path, our willingness to give our hearts with full knowledge that they will be broken seems incomprehensible. Only we know how small a price we pay for what we receive; our grief, no matter how powerful it may be, is an insufficient measure of the joy we have been given.”

Light a Candle

Veela was such a sweet soul. The moment I walked into her home, she greeted me with a wiggly butt and even brought me a toy. Even in the short amount of time that I knew Veela, I could tell how amazing she was and how much she means to so many people. She was so gentle and beautiful. Veela and her humans will always hold a special place in my heart.Tyler Johnston - February 28, 2020
I loved Veela and getting a chance to snuggle with her or slip her treats whenever I could. I'll never forget the look on her face when she first tasted venison or her love and protection of you Lauren. She will always be remembered! Big hugs!Megan Sheehan - February 27, 2020
Veela, I will always miss you! You were the sweetest dog and I feel lucky that I got to spend time with you. I’m grateful for all the love and affection you gave to all of us, but particularly to Lauren. You were her baby girl. We all miss you very much!Sharon Hiegel - February 26, 2020
