10/21/2007 - 2/28/2020Big Head, Tuck-Tuck, Wiggle Butt, Tuck-Nut, it’s so hard to believe you’re not with us anymore. Letting you go was near impossible, but we love you so much and didn’t want you to experience any pain. You were already in obvious discomfort and we knew something was very wrong. When we brought you in on Tuesday to find out that you had two large tumors in your abdomen and the same cancer that your loving brother Buddy had, we didn’t want you to go through the pain and suffering that he did. Please understand that as much as we wanted to spend just a few more days, hours, even just a few more minutes with you, we didn’t want you to suffer, even for a second.
You were loved by so many, Tucker. Our friends and family will never forget your warm cuddles on the couch. We love you more than we can put in words and we are never going to forget you. Have good romps with Buddy, and get those good cuddles in that you used to have with him.
Till we see you again our baby.

We are so sorry for your loss. It's obvious, from everyone's words here, that Tucker's fun-loving spirit and memory will live on in the hearts of many. You were lucky to have found each other and made him a great home. No parents could love their dogs as much as you love yours. Our thoughts and sincerest condolences are with you both. Love you!Rich & Patti Williams - March 5, 2020
I know how hard it is to lose a pet. You don't want to see them suffer, yet you don't want to let go. Know that your pet had a wonderful life with you. Tucker won the lottery when you brought him home. Godspeed Tucker!Janice Loster - March 4, 2020

Oh my... we are SO sorry to read this. We feel badly for the grief you are experiencing. That's is a very very very tough decision to be forced to make. However, I believe your choice to prevent Tucker's pain and suffering helped stop even greater grief down the road.

Dear Joe and Carolyn,

My heart is breaking for the both of you. It is so true that "dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole." I really loved hearing you talk about Tucker, Joe. Your whole face lit up with love. Just imagine him running around in no pain now in heaven...waiting to see you some day.
I know you both have beautiful memories of Tucker. I can't imagine better parents!

Joe and Carolyn,

I am so sorry for your loss of Tucker. I only met him once and he seemed like such a wonderful dog. It is always so hard to let a pet go but it is so hard when you know that they are in pain. Please know that we are thinking of you both. Tucker will always be with you in your heart and memory.

Loving our furry family members enough to help them when they’re suffering is the most difficult thing we have to do as pet parents. You loved Tucker and gave him a good life. Remember all the good he brought to your family. He’ll always have a special place in your hearts.Carol MacCabe - March 2, 2020
Joe and Carolyn,

I and the entire 7th-grade class are so very sorry for your loss. I know how Joe would light up when he would talk about Tucker and how his love and enthusiasm for him was contagious. It is such a sad thing but there comes comfort in knowing he is free from pain and waiting just on the other side of that rainbow bridge.

Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers,
Stephanie and the STV 7th Grade

You always welcomed us with your wagging tail and you always had so much to say. Some call it barking, but dog owners know it’s a dogs way of letting the world know how much they’re loved, and in turn, how much they love their special family.Gary Szmurlo - March 2, 2020
One of the sweetest and most gentle dogs I’ve ever come to love. He’s going to be truly missed ❤️Annie Boarini - March 2, 2020

Wow - what a unique dog Tucker was! He was very handsome too! We loved all the funny memories and personality traits you shared. Even though we didn’t get to meet Tucker, you would always talk about him and it shows how much you loved and cared for him.

How unfair it is that the time with our beloved family members are short-lived. Although we know this time will inevitably come, we don’t want to think about it or process it when it actually happens. But here you are, facing the music, and doing so with such bravery.

When you first started looking after Thea, we didn’t didn’t know you very well, but had hoped you would be great and someone Thea would look forward to seeing. Well you blew that thought out of the water and were that times 100. Thea only had a small glimpse of your magic, and how lucky Tucker was to be with you everyday. He was the luckiest dog in the world to have you as his mom.

We hope you feel better as time goes by and cherish all the memories - and never forget them.

With love,

John, Samantha, and Thea
