ADDITIONAL AFTERCARE FEES

To best honor your personal space, our doctors do not arrive with a vet technician.  Therefore, if your family has elected cremation for a pet over 30 pounds, we may ask your assistance moving your loved one after euthanasia has been performed.  If no additional help is available from friends or family to move your pet, please let our team know so that we can schedule appropriately.  The most important thing is that your loved one does not suffer, arrangements for assistance with cremation can be made at a later time.

AVAILABILITY

We are here to answer your questions every day, from 7am - 11pm. Appointments are scheduled throughout the week, please call for availability.

Sometimes pets take a turn for the worse overnight or in a short amount of time, so we do our best to accommodate same day appointments with a few hours notice, but cannot guarantee that.

If this is a medical emergency, please contact your local veterinarian or one of the emergency clinics listed in the Local Resources section.

Dr. Tiffany

Tiffany Matheson

Growing up in rural Oklahoma I had many pets, some of which included dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, and even pigs.  I spent nearly all my time with them or reading about them and when I was only five years old I told my parents that I wanted to be a veterinarian.

For my 16th birthday I got a Dalmatian puppy named Molly.  Molly was my baby, and she was with me through high school, undergraduate college, and vet school. During my final year of vet school though, Molly became ill with chronic liver disease and 2 days after graduation I had to make the decision to let her go.  This was my first time having to make that decision and while it was very difficult I was thankful that I was able to give Molly the gift of ending her pain.

Throughout the past 9 years while working as a Veterinarian, I have helped many people say goodbye to their babies and I feel privileged to have been able to give them a peaceful and loving last memory.

"This is the second time over a hand full of years that Dr. Tiffany has helped us give one of our dogs their angel wings. Dr. Tiffany has the most reassuring manner, and explains everything in great detail, with much compassion and love. We have three other dogs, and having them there, and allowing them to be part of the process in whatever way they choose, was also very helpful. I am so grateful to Dr. Tiffany for her services, and the manner in which she conducts herself with patience, love, and respect. Thank You Dr. Tiffany."

"My husband and I care for a colony of feral TNVR cats in our backyard. It's not easy to get the very feral ones to a vet, it's stressful beyond belief and they hurt themselves. Lap of Love was a godsend. Dr. Tiffany, the vet who visited was gentle and kind and made a horrible situation a little less terrible when it came time to help one of them cross over. As our Spike crossed over the Rainbow Bridge we finally got to give him the physical touch he wouldn't tolerate in life. We loved that feral guy and Lap of Love was wonderful to all of us."

"My friend Val works for our local Lap of Love and her husband owns the crematorium/aquamatorium. That’s how I knew about Lap of Love. Val had been helping me through this horrible decision that had to be made.

Dr Tiffany is the vet who came to our house to help Sidney leave this world. She was very kind and gentle with Sidney and allowed her sisters to be as involved as they wanted. She explained everything with such care. This was such a different experience than the other times we’ve had to send our babies on their way at a vet’s office.

This was not traumatizing at all for Sidney. Dr Tiffany was amazing and we’ll never, ever have anyone but Lap of Love assist our kids on to their next adventure."

"Thank you Dr. Tiffany for your assistance with helping my beautiful Luna to make her way to kitty heaven in her own home with her favorite humans. It meant a lot to us that you could come out on a Sunday morning. All of the thoughtful touches were much appreciated. It was very difficult to let go but it was time. She was much loved and will always be missed. Thank you."

"If it weren't for Dr. Tiffany, we wouldn't have had the most beautiful experience of having Bo Bo pass in our home, in his own bed. Her amazing compassion was above and beyond the call of duty. The respect she had to put Bo Bo in the front seat with her makes her an incredibly extraordinary veterinarian and person. We can't thank her enough. Thank you, Dr. Tiffany."

“Our beloved, beautiful greyhound Penny earned her angel wings on June 12th, 2019. There are really no words to describe what an incredible heart Penny had. She was so loving, so joyful, so silly, so sweet, and of course, lightning fast! She was part of our family for just two short years, but in that time, she made fast friends with every human ...

“Sidney went over the Rainbow Bridge on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 3:28pm.
Sidney was the sweetest most loving & caring child and sister. She was the first child that we, as a married couple had together. She helped us join our two fur families together.
Sidney loved to run and play. Even after she developed degenerative myelopathy, she was so ...

“It's with great sadness, yet peace of mind and comfort, we announce our beloved Bo Bo crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday. Thanks to Lap of Love and Dr. Tiffany, it was a beautiful experience in our home. He was incredibly brave and strong fighting the fight for so long, but in the end, his little body gave up. Just shy of 16 yrs, he ...

“My baby girl Nala has gained her wings today. Nalas story is pretty interesting. She was born Christmas day 2008 on an airforce base in south georgia. I found her ad on craigslist and drove 8 hours to get her. She was the tinest little 8 week old pup I ever saw and she slept on my chest the whole car ride home. She was my baby and she knew it. ...
