With this option, your pet is cremated privately at a licensed crematory. They can also be made available directly from the crematory or mailed to your home or office.
This option is for families that don't wish to have their pet's ashes returned nor wish to bury at home. Pets are respectfully cremated with other pets at a licensed crematory and ashes are scattered by the crematory.
There may be a fee if additional assistance to safely carry your pet out of your home is needed.
We are here to answer your questions every day, from 7am - 11pm. Appointments are scheduled throughout the week, please call for availability.
Sometimes, pets take a turn for the worse overnight, so we do our best to accommodate same day appointments with a few hours notice when possible.
If this is a medical emergency, please contact your local veterinarian or one of the emergency clinics listed in the Local Resources section.
As a child growing up in Egypt and Turkey, we always had many pets in our home. My favorite furry friend was a cat who I named Tiffany, after the iconic movie starring Audrey Hepburn. I was always fascinated by animals and loved playing “doctor” to our many dogs, cats and rabbits, so I made it my goal to become a veterinarian.
I graduated college and was accepted into the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University, which is a full-time, five-year program. Soon after graduating, I landed my first job at Advanced Care Veterinary Hospital, the first American veterinary hospital in Egypt. I worked there and did post-graduate studies for eight wonderful years until I moved to the United States.
A new chapter of my life began in Pennsylvania, where I completed additional studies, earned my American veterinary license and found work at a veterinary clinic. Another move brought me to warm and wonderful Florida, where I proudly joined Lap of Love.
I know first-hand what a heart-wrenching experience it is it lose a pet. I look forward to helping pets and their families find comfort and serenity when they need it most.
"Dr. Heba Kashkosh was what I can only describe as the calm during the storm. When our 12 year old Basset's condition turned for the worse, it took us by surprise. Faced with a whirlwind of emotions and doubts, Dr. Kashkosh was there to help us through the storm. She was caring, compassionate and explained every step to us. She gave us peace and eased out minds during a very difficult time. She treated our Lee Roy like he was her own, with compassion and a gentle touch. Words can not describe the gratitude we have for Dr. Kashkosh. You'll know that Angels exists when you meet her. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts."

"Dear Lap of Love -
I hope I m sending this to the right email place...
We just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated that your service was an option....and for Dr. Heba - she was so amazing.
We felt treated with compassion and dignity from first phone call. You folks should be showing fortune 500 companies what customer service really means. I can't thank Dr. Heba enough for answering my questions gently and honestly, and for her assurance that we were making the right decision at tge right time.
I know everyone says dogs don't fear death, but...
...my lil guy was really afraid when we took him to his last vet visit. He was calmer on the way home, but in the way there he was a nervous wreck - as since we RV full time and are always going for car rides, it wasn't car anxiety at all. I felt that he suspected something in the car...
...and that he WAS afraid, because despite being in end stage heart failure, he was fighting it very hard, fighting to stay alive and take every breath, as labored as they were. I was afraid that we were making the decision too early because of these things...
Dr. Heba was so kind. She addressed my fears, explained what end stage passing usually involves...and made sure that I was comfortable with the decision before we proceeded. She gave us all the time and space we needed, including allowing our other senior dog and our service dog to participate in the process and be close as I held him in his last moments. She was very comforting and sweet.
And very professional and caring! Even bringing us extra boxes for his locks of fur, and a sympathy card for us. She has been just great, in a very difficult time for our little family!
We just wanted to say thank you...
We would 100 percent recommend your service to anyone who loves their fur babies as we do, and would be happy to let you use us for a testimonial. We plan to use you again should the time come, too - because this was so much more special, and was easier on us and our other pets this way then having to go to the vets office and leave -- empty handed and feeling gutted. I have done THAT before too unfortunately, and just couldn't bear that experience again.
Grateful beyond words that Lap of Love is a dignified and easier option for such a special little family member.
We have already told bunches of our friends and family about Lap of Love, because we had never heard of you before needing you this past week and weekend. Everyone we told hadn't heard of you, either - so we will keep spreading the word.
With our sincerest gratitude -

"I am very pleased with Dr Heba Kashkosh during our most difficult time. She was nice, sweet, calm and most of all compassionate. We were very happy that a service like this exists (we live less than a mile from our regular vet) because she drove to our home which was probably at least an hour away, in our time of need to help us through this. It made the worst situation more comfortable for both Greta and us and we truly appreciated it. Greta was surrounded by us, in the comfort of her own home and was not stressed because of travel during this transition. We can't thank you enough.

"A true angel. That is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Dr. Kashkosh. On Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017 we had to do the toughest thing we ever done in life. We said goodbye to our sweet little boy Harley. Harley was only 8yrs old and taken way too soon. We never dreamed we would only have 8 years with him, but about a week and a half ago we discovered after test and procedures that Harley had a very aggressive throat cancer and they would not be able to help him. Our whole world came crashing down. Harley got bad quick. My sister who is a Hospice nurse suggest Hospice for animals. It was our saving grace. We were able to stay with Harley till his last breath while he was comfortable in his own home in his familiar surroundings. The kindness that Dr Kashkosh showed was definitely that of an angel...she did not rush the process and waited until we were ready. She explained why we had made the right choice to not watch Harley suffer. I don't know where to stop or start with the compliments and praise for Dr Kashkosh. Losing our precious Harley was not easy, but Lap of Love made it more tolerable. I would recommend you to anyone, everyone! Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. Harley left us peacefully and loved."
