Pets 50 - 99 pounds$275
Pets 100 - 149 pounds$300
Pets 150 - 200 pounds$375

Pets 50 - 99 pounds$175
Pets 100 - 149 pounds$225
Pets 150 - 200 pounds$255

This option is for families that don't wish to have their pet's ashes returned nor wish to bury at home. Pets are respectfully cremated with other pets at a licensed crematory and ashes are scattered by the crematory in a pet cemetery.

ADDITIONAL AFTERCARE FEES

To best honor your personal space, our doctors do not arrive with a vet technician.  Therefore, if your family has elected cremation for a pet over 30 pounds, we may ask your assistance moving your loved one after euthanasia has been performed.  If additional help is needed outside what is available in the home, we may request that the crematory come to assist us.  In this case, an additional fee will be needed to cover their charge.

AVAILABILITY
We are here to answer your questions every day, from 7am - 11pm. Appointments are scheduled throughout the week, please call for availability.

Sometimes pets take a turn for the worse overnight or in a short amount of time, so we do our best to accommodate same day appointments with a few hours notice, but cannot guarantee that.

If this is a medical emergency, please contact your local veterinarian or one of the emergency clinics listed in the Local Resources section.

Dr. Mandi

Mandi Beckmann

There was never any doubt in my mind that I wanted to become a veterinarian and that has always been thanks to the incredible bonds I was lucky enough to form with some amazing animals. I grew up on a small hobby farm in Minnesota surrounded by a menagerie of animals: dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, horses… the list goes on!

With my mom’s help and support, I spent my teenage years fostering rescue dogs. Over time, a few of those dogs found their forever home with us. Peaches was a senior pitty who had a really rough start in life. As soon as she came home with us, we all knew (Peaches included) that she had finally found her forever safe place. Miss Peaches spent four years with us and helped raise puppies while always remaining the sweet yet authoritative boss of the household. She was such a blessing in our family, and at the end of her life, we were able to say goodbye in the comfort of our home with the help of our family’s veterinarian. I am thankful beyond words that she could pass peacefully in the place where she knew she was safe and loved, after all those years and her storied past. I keep her tags on my keychain as a reminder that the incredible bond we shared will never be gone. That bond, and others like it, shaped my views as I began my professional career and today it fuels my love for this work.

After graduating from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, I completed an internship with an equine veterinary practice. I have a wide variety of interests including ophthalmology, reproduction medicine, and neonatology. However, my favorite thing about being a veterinarian is having the privilege to connect with and care for people and their beloved pets. In my eyes, there are few ways to better honor the beauty of the human-animal bond than through the gift we provide at Lap of Love. Giving your beloved pet a peaceful passing is an incredible gift and one that I’m humbled to be able to provide. I truly am honored to be there for you during this delicate time.

"Mandi and Lap of Love was exactly what we needed to say goodbye to our Olde boy Blu. He was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and we knew we only had a few weeks left with him so amongst the preparation, it was stressful to decide how we wanted him to go. We made him as comfortable as possible and found out about Lap of Love after a long Google search for vets in the area that would come to your home. From the beginning of making the appointment to the end, they were very professional and kind. 11 days after finding out about his diagnosis, we made the appointment for a Sunday morning, and by Saturday afternoon, we knew he wasn't going to want to wait that long, so we gave them a call to see if we could change the appointment, and Mandi came within the hour - no extra cost! No way would we have gotten in that quickly at a vet without a super expensive fee! She made Blu and us very comfortable the entire time which made things a lot easier. It was a very peaceful and calming experience, exactly how we wanted it to happen. Thank you to Mandi and Lap of Love for all that you did for our beautiful olde boy, Blu."

"My sweet fur baby had to cross the rainbow bridge the day before Thanksgiving due to complications with congestive heart failure. I cannot praise Lap of Love enough for the compassion I was shown and how easy they all made this very difficult decision. I called on Tuesday night after 8pm and was greeted with the warmest, most soothing voice I could have asked for and was scheduled immediately for Wednesday morning at 9am. Dr. Mandi was very prompt in her arrival and was such a comfort to myself and my sister, who was with me. I was able to comfort my beautiful Daisy and held her through the entire process until she passed. I received correspondence 4-5 times following that day from Dr. Mandi, who made sure to check in, offer her condolences and verify that I was "okay" through the holidays. She also personally contacted the cremation services to ensure that my baby was delivered safe and sound to the location of my choosing so she would not have to be out in the cold. I have recommended this organization to everyone after my positive experience under difficult circumstances. It is rare in this world to find an organization such as this, where everyone goes above and beyond to ease the process and comfort you in a time of need. I also received a hand-written card from Dr. Mandi and a personalized, beautifully engraved box containing my fur baby which now sits on my mantel. Thank you to everyone at Lap of Love for making this a positive experience for me despite my anguish, it's the most anyone could ask for."

"I don't know what I would have done if I had had to take Apple to a vet for her to pass on. Mandy is as kind a person as I can imagine. She made such a hard process as loving as it could have been and I am forever grateful."

"Mandi just helped put our baby boy to rest a couple of hours ago, and I wanted to write this while I still had lots of emotion. Mandi is truly gifted in her ability to assist families and our precious fur babies find peace. From the start she was very calm, professional and empathetic. She explained everything and was very structured in her work. Most importantly she was very gentle and loving to our dog, as if she knew him for years. Mandi made a very hard day better because we can be at ease knowing we did the best for our boy. I would recommend in-home euthanasia with Dr Mandi to anyone. Thanks again for making this situation as peaceful as possible."

"Within six weeks we lost two very important members of our family--dearest cuddles and sweet minou. Dr Mandi was there both times, offering support, understanding and relief for our dear ones. Thank you Mandi, your services is so important and appreciated.

"Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean, I'll miss you until we meet again.""

"Dr. Mandi is incredibly kind, professional and empathetic. It was such a relief to have this emotional experience take place in the comfort and privacy of home without distressing my 17-year-old cat with a car ride to the vet's office.

It gave me great peace to be able to quickly schedule the appointment with a very kind gentleman who called within minutes of my email. I had a final day to pamper and love on Squeaky, so when the time came, Dr. Mandi and I comforted him in his favorite napping spot. Instead of bright lights, unfamiliar scents and a scary IV like at the vet, Squeaky received the first injection painlessly in his scruff to calm him for a few minutes as we said our sweet goodbyes.

With the final injection, it was over quickly and peacefully. It was certainly death with dignity for a big, macho cat who spent his younger years mouse-hunting on a farm and his final year luxuriating in the sunny gardens at the "Jenelle Hotel" with four other kitty siblings and a handful of neighbor cats, dogs and loving children to pet him.

Her neat bag of tools with everything from tissues, potty pad, and pamphlets to clay for a keepsake footprint were ingenious. Her sweet emails and a handwritten card over the past week have been beyond expectation to provide comfort during this grieving period.

Dr. Mandi is a true angel and I have been spreading the word about Lap of Love to everyone with aging and ailing pets. May we all be so lucky to have our beloved pets to go like this!"

The house is emptier without you.You aren’t there to greet me when I get home, staring at me through the window from the perch you judge the neighbors from. You aren’t there to meow at me in your sassy way until I fill your bowl and sit down for you jump into my lap.You aren’t there to watch TV with me as I unwind from work and tell you ...
