AFTERCARE PRICING

PRIVATE CREMATION

Pets 40 - 99 pounds$275
Pets 100 - 149 pounds$315
Pets 150 - 200 pounds$365

With this option, your pet is cremated privately at a licensed crematory. The ashes are contained in a lovely wooden urn with an engraved nameplate and will be returned to your primary care veterinarian within two weeks. They can also be made available directly from the crematory or mailed to you.

COMMUNAL CREMATION
Pets up to 39 pounds$150
Pets 40 - 99 pounds$175
Pets 100 - 149 pounds$215
Pets 150 - 200 pounds$265

This option is for families that don't wish to have their pet's ashes returned nor wish to bury at home. Pets are respectfully cremated with other pets at a licensed crematory and ashes are interred in an ossuary at a peaceful pet cemetery.

Additional Aftercare Fees

To best honor your personal space, our doctors do not arrive with a vet technician.  Therefore, if your family has elected cremation for a pet over 30 pounds, we may ask your assistance moving your loved one after euthanasia has been performed.  If additional help is needed outside what is available in the home, we may request that the crematory come to assist us.  In this case, an additional fee will be needed to cover their charge.

Availability

COVID-19 Update: We are still honored to join you in the home so that your pet can be safely surrounded by loved ones during this time.

We are here to answer your questions every day, from 6am - 10pm. Appointments are scheduled throughout the week, please call for availability. Sometimes pets take a turn for the worse overnight or in a short amount of time, so we do our best to accommodate same day appointments with a few hours notice, but cannot guarantee that. Dr. Rhiannon

Rhiannon Gonzalez

I grew up northeast of Tulsa in a little town called Collinsville where I spent my summers outside having many adventures with my dog, and best friend, Josie. We had plenty of pets while I was growing up, but she was special. She passed when I was 10 years old and I remember thinking that there was more that we could have done to help her stay healthy and then to help her pass comfortably when it became clear that it was time. I also spent lots of time during my childhood reading books, many of which featured animals. By the time I made it to high school, I was determined to do whatever it took to become a veterinarian.

I received a bachelor’s degree in both zoology and microbiology from Oklahoma State University before being accepted into the veterinary program there. After graduating, I spent some time in general practice and, while I enjoyed many parts of practicing, I decided that I would like to do something more personal and unique. Helping clients through the end-of-life care is challenging but I love hearing stories about beloved pets and how the relationships with them changed and shaped their owners’ lives. Our furry family members deserve a peaceful and dignified passing in the comfort of their home surrounded by loved ones and it is a gift that I am honored to provide through Lap of Love.

In addition to my husband, I also share my home in South Tulsa with two corgi/heeler mixes, Oliver and Bailey, and two cats, Vesper and Rigby. We love to visit cities with good food, good beer, and interesting culture – Portland, OR is a current favorite. We also enjoy going to concerts as much as possible.

"Dr. Rhiannon Gonzalez is amazing. She was extremely compassionate and caring. She was able to come within a few hours upon calling. She explained the entire process as we went along. We knew what was happening through everything. When I was too hysterical to talk when the medication was being injected, she told Sam how much he was loved and cared for. I will be forever thankful for her. Sam passed with so much peace."

"Dr. Gonzalez is a God send! She helped our beautiful, so loved Gabby cross over to heaven. Gabby was suffering from breast cancer , and in a pot of pain . Gabby was our heart and soul and Dr. Gonzalez helped give us peace and treated our Gabby feel so much better and comfortable, something we had not seen in months. Money cannot buy the peace, professionalism , love and understanding Dr. Gonzalez gave our family , this including our very dear Gabby Rigsby . ❤️✝️🙏. The first thing Dr. Gonzalez said to Gabby is I love your eyeliner, she just had those gorgeous eyes and it looked like she had eyeliner on - I love that ! Was one of my favorite things !!"

"Rhiannon Gonzalez was very professional, very attentive to my best little buddy, Brody, and very sensitive to my feelings. When it come time to give your fur baby angle wings, this is the very best way to do it. Thank you to all involved.

“In memory of Sam/Sammy Jo/ Sammy Jo Haggar/ Slam/ Slamboney/ Slamuel L. Jackson. The realest of real, the screaming mimi, the spindly leg praying mantis of crusty love. You were grumpy and particular, and we loved that about you. Your woman-like howls will ring true in our hearts forever. We loved you so big. We are so thankful for the time we got ...
