Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Sappho A.k.a The Cat A.k.a Midnight
1/1/2004 - 7/16/2020A true party animal, lover of people and sometimes dogs. Though Boston-based in the end, she’s always been a big city girl, born and raised, and loved all the people she met there. She spent her final days roaming around a lush yard filled with swaths of delicious grass, large trees, big beds of flowers, and so many entertaining birds, butterflies, and other critters. She put up a good fight in her battle against lymphoma, flourishing under the care of Dr. Lee and the Oncology staff of MSPCA Boston, who she grew to love, evidenced by her increasing willingness to be brought for her weekly appointments. Though she wasn’t always comfortable these last few weeks, she found one last bout of relief from her medication and strategic (but still indulgent) diet in the last days before she passed. She got plenty of cheek and low back scratches and quality time with her favorite blankets, pillows, sweaters and some of her favorite people. She’ll miss her 2015 family with Allison, our home at 1172 (Chris, Rebecca, Max, and Tyler, plus all the visitors she charmed), our home in Carroll Gardens with Toby, and later with pup Reggie in Boerum Hill, her second home on long island with her great grandma Ellen, and even the little zoo/studio apartment in Chelsea with Aggie and Olga, who apparently still look aloft for her when they hear the word “kitty”. She’ll be missed by her Boston family, though we will always have the comfort of knowing she’s laid to rest outside surrounded by some of the flowers she loved in the yard. She passed peacefully with the help of Dr. Sally, outside on her favorite blanket, after having her fill of salmon and strawberry shortcake popsicle.Newton, MassachusettsJuly 21, 2020
Buddy Love
5/2/2016 - 7/7/2020Our darling Buddy Love was adopted from the Animal Rescue League of Boston when he was 6 months old.

He was the light in our eyes. He never disappointed us. He never got mad at us. He never saw anything but good in everyone and since the world needs more of the Buddy Love magic, God has chosen to bring him home to God out.

His unconditional love got his dad through so much. And the way he loved his grandmother will never be matched. And no one else could have ever tolerated sisters like he did. Emma Theresa Ann and JJ Olivia Sophia are as loving and good as they are because they had him to show them the right way.

Mr. Love, Mr. Love, oh Mr. Love touched everyone he ever met and his heart will live on forever with all of us.

Run in the waters Buddy Boy and chase those geese!!!!! Get the ball, get the ball, get the ball.

Forever in our hearts - our lives will never be the same.

Sallie O'malley
10/9/2007 - 6/12/2020Sallie O'Malley, there is so much I could say, she was my buddy, Sallie took care of me despite her own illness after my husband passed away on May 24th. Sallie did everything to hide the fact that she was suffering, because she knew I was heartbroken, and I knew I had to watch out for her because Sallie was struggling with kidney disease and it's complications. I had to make a very hard decision, and I had to let Sallie go. Sallie was so special to us, her love for us and her sister Mary Katherine Gallagher who had passed two years previously. Sallie was never boring, and she liked her routine. When my husband took his life unexpectedly, both of our routines where broken. I know Sallie ran across that rainbow into my husband's arms with Gallie too. Now my loves are up in heaven, and I just will carry them all in my heart.Darla KilroySalem, MassachusettsJune 28, 2020

Kingston
8/5/2007 - 3/22/2020My favorite memory of my boy is always when the sun was shining and he was running happily, sometimes towards me, in a park. Hair flying, tongue flopping, all 6 lbs of him bouncing across in joy. His life was joy, he was pure love and joy. I will miss him every day.

Kingston Nick names: Jamaica, Baby, King Kong, Little Foot, Happy Feet.

Kingston liked: Feta cheese, hiking, any person at all, his sister, his brother, his papa, his mema, FROGS, twirling, snow (for about the first week), taking pictures, chatting sociably, running under your foot when you were cooking, babies, cutting his own nails, following his sister wherever she went, asking his dad for chest rubs, his best friend long deceased Peppy, and being on watch in the window on top of the couch.

Kingston hated: Vets, cats.

Zoe Rose
2/4/2004 - 3/11/2020Our beautiful Zoe went too soon. 16 years of her love and loving her was just too little. She left us with so many happy memories of her vibrant and loving personality. Everyone loved Zoe and she loved being around everyone. We loved every minute with this wonderful girl and feel her presence everywhere, in our home, car, work, parks we walked in, and places we visited. We miss her very much but know she is at peace and is not suffering.

We are so grateful to have found Laps of Love to help Zoe in easing her suffering from cancer. Dr Sally Lynch was the most gentle vet with Zoe and supportive to Zoe's family during her passing. Thank you Dr Lynch.
