Lap of Love Veterinarian: Leanne Mathew"When we said goodbye to our precious Gizmo, it was at his veterinarian's office, we never knew places like Lap of Love existed. When it was time for us to say our goodbyes to our sweet Lacee, we found Lap of Love and contacted them. I cannot even begin to describe how caring, gracious, respectful, compassionate, and patient everyone was with us. From Lisa, who I spoke to on the phone with getting a date and appointment made, to Dr. Mathew and the way she treated and handled our sweet Lacee girl. Dr. Mathew's priority was that Lacee be comfortable, not stressed, and pain free, during her final moments with us. She explained everything to us, let our other dogs be present, and took good care of Lacee and our family. I cannot thank them enough. They went above and beyond, during a very difficult time for our family. Thank you again for all you did for Lacee, and for us."Trudy GoodwinHoustonJanuary 16, 2020Lacee's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lauren Peek, DVM"There are no words to describe how amazing Dr. Peek is. From the moment she arrived to the moment she left she was not only here to make sure Bear had a peaceful passing, but was there for me. I followed up after to make sure they arrived safe and even though she didn’t have to, she followed up. She checked in a few weeks later, as it was right around the holidays. There are a lot of special people in this world and I have to say Dr. Peek is hands down one of them and more! Thank you so much for all you did one December 13th for me, I am forever in debt to you and Laps of Love"LC COrlandoJanuary 16, 2020Bear Bear's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Michelle Latham"I only learned of hospice care and Lap of Love last week, when I found their card in my vets office. The next day I found I would need help. This is the most heartbreaking event to go through and I was very grateful for the kindness, sensitivity and patience Dr. Latham treated Miskit and myself. She came on her day off when she heard how much Miskit was suffering from a stroke. I can't thank her enough for having the compassion not to wait until the next day. Dr. Latham walked me through the process and was was very understanding of how heartbroken I was. This is not a time to rush through and she gave me all the time I needed with the process and afterward. Her many years of experience was a blessing on all levels."Kathi KariMantecaJanuary 15, 2020

She had empathy, compassion and lots of time and love for us all. I dont know how she does the job but really you couldn't get anyone better. She is an amazing person who obviously loves animals and wants to do their best for them so they are not suffering. Would recommend her to anyone. She treats the animals with so much dignity, respect and love. Nothing is too much trouble and she explains all that is happening. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Leanne Mathew"The blessing in all of this has been you. The way that Buck instantly bonded with you gave me the peace I needed to get through the excruciatingly painful experience of letting him go. He had no fear... and that’s because of you. I’m thankful to God for your gift, and I’m grateful to you for using your gift to ease the passage for His precious canine creatures... and others. Thank you so very, very much."Cynthia LusignoloHoustonJanuary 15, 2020
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Regan Harp"Our beloved Honey, it has been really hard these past few weeks to see you going through this and not being able to help you ease your pain. You were and will be the greatest dog we ever had. You will be missed everyday. I hope you're not in pain any longer and are running around being the perfect girl you are. We will miss our car rides, stops for pup cups and ice cream, when we would give you baths, play time with all your toys, tanning outside together and when you would lay on the beds and couch snuggled right next to us. I love you and Stephanie and Melissa will miss you very much. Thank you for being our best friend Honey Bear.

Rest in peace my sweet girl.

Love you,
Mommy Stephanie

Mommy Melissa"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sue Mowatt"Thank you Dr. Sue for your compassionate care of us and our pet dog Barney. You were so kind and gentle with Barney and with us while we said goodbye. You kindly explained every step of the process, and then guided us in remembering special moments of our life with Barney as he quietly passed away. On the practical side, I was able to access the website and schedule an appointment for the same day when our dear Barney took an abrupt turn for the worse. We knew it was time to let him go, and Lap of Love was able to accommodate us the same day. I am grateful that I was able to provide payment information over the phone so that we would not be burdened with this aspect after his passing."Elizabeth LavertyRocklinJanuary 15, 2020

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Mandi Beckmann"Mandi and Lap of Love was exactly what we needed to say goodbye to our Olde boy Blu. He was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and we knew we only had a few weeks left with him so amongst the preparation, it was stressful to decide how we wanted him to go. We made him as comfortable as possible and found out about Lap of Love after a long Google search for vets in the area that would come to your home. From the beginning of making the appointment to the end, they were very professional and kind. 11 days after finding out about his diagnosis, we made the appointment for a Sunday morning, and by Saturday afternoon, we knew he wasn't going to want to wait that long, so we gave them a call to see if we could change the appointment, and Mandi came within the hour - no extra cost! No way would we have gotten in that quickly at a vet without a super expensive fee! She made Blu and us very comfortable the entire time which made things a lot easier. It was a very peaceful and calming experience, exactly how we wanted it to happen. Thank you to Mandi and Lap of Love for all that you did for our beautiful olde boy, Blu."Crystal StatskeyRochesterJanuary 13, 2020Blu's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jennie Brindler"Dr. Jennie was absolutely amazing. She explained every single part of the process and made sure we had all the time we needed during all phases. She made sure everything was about Baxter's comfort and us saying our goodbyes. Quite honestly, there were several times that I completely forgot Dr. Jennie was even present. Not that I want Lap of Love to increase their prices but knowing what I know now, I would easily pay 2x what we paid."Noel WilliamsDenverJanuary 13, 2020Baxter's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Ashley Payne"When our beloved 15.5 yo Cairn Terrier, Fred, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, we knew we wanted to make him as comfortable as possible for his remaining days but we also wanted to let him go with dignity and grace. We loved on our sweet boy and gave him all sorts of treats, but when he told us he was ready we called in Lap of Love.

From the minute Dr. Ashley came through the door, I could tell this was going to be the best possible experience we could have in this horrible situation for Fred as well as my husband and son. She entered gently and immediately won Fred's affection. Then she let us tell stories while we shamelessly boo-hooed. When we were ready, she explained the procedure and explained our options. As we stroked him and loved on him, she led him into a painless permanent rest while he was held by his people on his bed looking out his window. She let us have time to say a last good bye and then put him in a sweet bed wrapped in a velvet blanket to drive away. He looked like a peaceful sleeping puppy.

We miss him so much, but we feel so good that we were able to make the compassionate choice to let him go to his final sleep in such a peaceful way with the help of Dr. Ashley."
