Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christina Scudder"Everyone at Lap of Love was extremely kind and patient. The woman who answered my initial phone call that morning was so comforting during a very emotional time. She calmly and patiently answered my questions and made all the necessary arrangements for the vet’s visit to our home.
When Dr. Chris arrived, she was SO reassuring and gentle in her assessment of our beloved dog. She was incredibly kind and didn’t rush any part of the visit. She allowed me the time I needed to say good-bye. It was such a peaceful passing in the comfort of our home where my dog could be surrounded by her favorite things with me right by her side. I can’t thank Dr. Chris enough for her compassionate care during a really difficult time.
The thing that really blew me away was that later that day I got the nicest note from Dr. Chris that included a tribute she had written for my Ella. Despite our brief time together, she had gotten to know my dog and my family in such a way that it was clear to me that she was really listening to our story and getting to know my dog. That was so touching and gave us such peace!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christina Guillory"She was AMAZING!! What a hard job. I could never do what she does. She was super compassionate and talked us through the entire deal. She’s followed up with an email and card. I’m beyond happy I chose Lap of Love ❤️ for my Petey's passing. I would highly recommend not just Dr. Christina but Lap of Love. Unfortunately, it’s a sad fact that we outlive our pets. When the time comes for you to make that insanely hard decision, I would definitely use these guys. They made the best out of an awful thing! Thank you to both Sara(she helped me on the phone) and Dr. Christina. Thank you!!"Samantha LundbergFriendswoodAugust 16, 2019Petey Pablo's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lorry Jolitz"Dr. Lorry Jolitz is incredibly and unbelievably great at what she does! She came into my home gently and lovingly, understanding how hard it was for me to make the decision that I made to put my boy Swisher down upon receiving a cancer diagnosis. She observed Swisher, made notes, asked me questions about his history, symptoms, and diagnosis, and she LAID MY SECOND-GUESSING TO REST by kindly assuring me that I was doing the right thing, based on all she saw and all that he's been through to confirm what was going on with him. I had had 2 pets euthanized in the past so I thought I knew what to expect. But I was shocked by how beautifully Swisher was cared for in his final hour (that's how long she was there in total). She treated him with such dignity and even cried a bit with me. You can tell that she is doing her heart's work, but that it never gets easier for her to see them go. We carried him out to her car afterward on a stretcher (he's a cat, but he's a big boy) because she didn't want to squeeze him into the cat basket she has that is on the smaller side. Very beautiful, dignified, respectful... It's terrible to let them go, but this was most DEFINITELY the way to do it. Lap of Love is now part of my family - part of my heart - forever."Kacie GreschMoreno ValleyAugust 15, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Tina Olivieri"This is the third time I have used Lap of Love. Putting my dogs to sleep is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do and it never gets any easier. This one had been in my life for 18 years. From the time Tina arrived at my home she was professional and helpful. She was not pushy, answered all of my questions, and provided information that I didn’t even know to ask. She was understanding of my tears and talked me step by step through the process. I highly recommend pap of love and Dr Tina to anyone who need to give their dogs a peaceful passing."Robert JohnsonCerritosAugust 15, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Tina Olivieri"Dr. Tina took wonderful care of sweet Callie in her last hour. Dr. Tina was incredibly kind and made sure Callie's passing was peaceful and without pain. She also helped me let go of the guilt I was feeling--it’s an extremely difficult decision to end the life of a pet even when it’s necessary. She helped me see I was the only one who could make this decision for Callie—giving her a loving gift. Dr. Tina’s words of wisdom and comfort were also a gift to me.

I miss my sweet girl every day and still find myself on auto pilot when it comes to her daily activities—prepping meals, cleaning the litter box, brushing her soft fur, waking up to her impatient meows. I still wait for the meows, look for her at the door when I come home from work, reach for her brush, and head to her room without thinking, only to sadly remind myself she is no longer here. She is so missed!

I’m very grateful to Dr. Tina for helping us through this sad moment in our lives. She is amazing!!!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: George Croskey"Words cannot describe how Dr. George Croskey and Lap of Love took care of our family at this difficult time. Rudi was an English bulldog that has been part of our lives for the last 12+ years. Over the past several weeks, his health started to spiral downward, and the last few days of his life were just terrible. Although we could not tell if he was in pain, no barking, crying, etc, it was apparent that a decision needed to be made. My husband called me on the morning of 8/14/2019 to advise that now he had a bloody liquid seeping from his stomach, he was extremely swollen, his hind legs no longer supported him, and he was no longer able to control his bladder. I contacted Lap of Love and the experience was more than we could have hoped for. We were able to say goodbye to Rudi as a family, with a wonderful, amazing, Dr. George, by our sides. The compassion of Dr. George is indescribable. She cried with us and walked us through step by step. I would highly recommend this service to anyone having to make this difficult decision. Thank you Dr. George for your caring, support, and compassion, you will always be in our hearts."Andrea AndersonSpringboroAugust 15, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Annie Dion-Byrd"I lost my Bailey on August 9th 2019 . He was almost 16 and I had him since birth He gave me UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, SUPPORT, but most importantly he was LOYAL TO ME and always there when I needed him and likewise. I never thought I would meet anyone who I felt the same way about, until I contacted LAP OF LOVE, not only this organization but MOST IMPORTANTLY,
Dr Annie. The unconditional love, support and loyalty she has displayed to me during this time, is out of this world. Not only did she display this to me, SHE GAVE IT TO MY BAILEY in his final moments, and for that I will be FOREVER greatful to be a part of her life and Lap of Love. Warmly Marty Crowley"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Leanne Mathew"This was unfortunately not the first time I had to say goodbye to a dog but it was by far the most peaceful and most heart warming. After she left and in the weeks that followed we spoke often and fondly about Dr. Leanne. We couldn't imagine how a person could possibly do the job she does. Especially someone as kind, caring, sweet and empathetic as Dr. Leanne. But we thank God she chose this career. She was made for it. And I can't even begin to put into words the peace she brought us, the comfort she brought us, and the love she showed Carl in his last minutes. We will never forget Carl and we will never forget the angel that came to bring him peace."Nicole SandersHoustonAugust 15, 2019Carl's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Nellie Wilbers"My husband said it best when he said, 'He would never do it another way again." The amount of peace that my family felt even in the midst of the grief of knowing that our pet was at home when she passed made it worth every single penny. The doctor was so kind and patient, going by our timeline, and not a clock. She made the atmosphere of a very painful decision the best that it could be. We are forever thankful that Lap of Love exists and so grateful for Dr. Nellie."Christine WaltonColumbusAugust 14, 2019Harley Rose's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kara Fuchs"Hello, I am writing to you today to express my sincere gratitude fro Dr. Kara and share how much she impacted me and my sister on the hardest day of our life. I adopted Oliver when I was 12 years old and he was our family dog throughout the duration of my childhood journey into adult hood. I was so very blessed to share 17 wonderful years having Oliver as my best friend. He was an old man with the typical problems you face as you age. He was a bit creaky and wobbly bit his spirit was fierce. Oliver passed suddenly from Tuesday night at 6:00 pm until we were lucky enough to have Dr. Kara come to my home at 9:30 am Wednesday morning. I cannot express my gratitude to her. I will never be able to thank her enough for her love and support. Thank you, Dr. Kara, from the bottom of my heart."Robyn McGradeSaint PaulAugust 14, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Hannah Moloney"I was a bit worried about having a vet I didn't know do this service but I did not want to take Bella into the office again. She becomes very upset. Dr. Hannah was very gentle and caring with both Bella and my husband and I. She is soft spoken which is helpful and explained everything she was going to do. As a nurse myself I think it makes people comfortable to know what to expect. Even though I had been through this before I was impressed with how comforting it was to have her tell us what to expect. I would highly recommend this service!"Claire GonderSeattleAugust 14, 2019Bella's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Caroline Kiert"We are forever grateful for the service provided by Lap of Love as we endured the last thing we could do for our beloved Deuce. With Lap of Love, Dr. Caroline, Deuce was comfortable and relaxed on his bed, unafraid and not anxious, surrounded by love and support in his own home as he passed peacefully. While we are heartbroken without Deuce, we re-live our memories of him every day. It’s true, the process, kindness, empathy, professionalism, and expertise given by Dr. Caroline on that last day were perfection, at a most painful time … priceless. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christina Scudder"Our beloved 18ish year-old dog started losing his appetite and having mobility issues. He'd had similar issues in the past, but he'd always bounced back. This time he didn't seem to be bouncing back.

On a Wednesday, we scheduled an appointment for that Friday evening. Our hope was to get a professional assessment and guidance. As Friday evening approached, it was clear that Fly was going downhill fast. I kept Lap of Love in the loop via e-mail throughout the week, and they reassured me that they could help - and they provided extra information about my specific concerns.

We can't say enough good things about Dr. Chris. When she arrived on Friday, she examined Fly, and calmly/clearly explained the situation and our options in a non-judgmental way. She would have supported us trying the appetite stimulant, though she was factually clear about likely outcomes. She gave us the information to make an informed decision, and checked in with us to make sure everyone was on the same page. She really paused and paid attention to our answers.

With the family surrounding Fly, and in the comfort of his own home, Dr. Chris told us exactly what she was going to do. She was thorough, compassionate, patient, gentle and kind. She also helped our family through the process by prompting us in a calm and soothing way to think of happy memories of Fly. It helped to be thinking about what we loved and cherished about him as we sent him on his way, and not just that we were saying goodbye. Plus she had us discussing and connecting with each other, which helped the grieving process and set us on the right path even after she left.

Dr. Chris used the information that she gathered during our time together to compose a beautiful tribute to Fly. And she made a donation in honor of Fly, to the organization from which we adopted him.

Ultimately, you can tell that Lap of Love has thought of every detail and found ways to handle it with the utmost compassion. They’re doing so much more than their job description and we can’t imagine anyone better to help a family through losing a beloved friend."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi"I heard many great things about Lap of Love, but it wasn't till my daughter came home and told me about her clients experience and she said mom this is what we need to do for Danny.... I called and an amazing Vet Dr. Heather came to the house. She was just amazing... She evaluated Danny and even showed us some things that we didn't know... She made it so comfortable for the entire family... She did not rush, she answered any and all questions. Danny even went over to her and kissed her.... He knew she was there to give him his angels wings. She made him very comfortable and we stayed with him the entire time and took him out to the car with Dr. Heather's assistance. I received a clay footprint and some of his hair in a container.... and will be receiving him home again soon..... I wanted to give him dignity and that is exactly what Dr. Heather help me do!.. What an amazing experience."Phyllis DAvanzoHoltsvilleAugust 14, 2019Danny's Pet Memorial
