Lap of Love Veterinarian: Ashley Payne, DVM"I cannot speak more highly of Lap of Love. In the midst of our grief of learning our beloved boxer Chelsea had late stage cancer, the entire team at Lap of Love was supportive, understanding, and sensitive to our loss. Thank you Ejay and Dr. Ashley for helping my sons and me say goodbye in a loving and peace filled way. I can’t thank you enough."Carrie ChristieAtlanta, GeorgiaApril 19, 2018
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amanda Page, DVM"I cannot say enough kind words about Dr. Amanda. She handled our very sick kitty with love, dignity, and compassion and helped him cross over the Rainbow Bridge in such a peaceful way. Our cat, Ace, meant the whole world to me, and I had worried so much about how I would decide when the time was right for him to go. Dr. Amanda was so very gentle with him. I could not have imagined a better end-of-life transition for Ace, and it created a great deal of closure for me. I am so grateful that I can now celebrate Ace's entire life without feeling terrible about the end. I received his ashes in a beautiful wooden box, paw prints, and other various keepsakes from Lap of Love that I will always cherish."Erin BreeneNewport Coast, CaliforniaApril 19, 2018
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Gies, DVM"I just wanted to say thank you very much for your assistance with making Sam's last moments with us special. While we will miss his presence, I am grateful for the 12 years of love, joy, and fun that we were able to share. If he could have talked, I'm sure he would want us to celebrate his life instead of mourn his death. He was a great dog and meant the world to me. Sadly, as you said, there were no more good days left for us. Easing his pain was the best decision we could've made.
Everything about the way you helped us with this decision and helped Sam passed, I cannot express how thankful and happy you made Taryn and I. I was so impressed with not only your service, but your support and kindness throughout the whole process.
I will happily recommend Lap of Love to anyone and everyone. And again, thank you so much for your service."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christine Baldwin, DVM"Thank You Christine for coming to our home today to take care of Moma. We were really impressed with your service, your empathy. It made a dreaded moment more palatable to withstand. But we are still devastated over our loss. As you know, Moma was with us for 17 years, and we think she was probably about 2 years old when she arrived on our doorstep. I've had three cats in the past that i have had until they passed (Moma was the 4th, and was the most unique of them all, with her intelligence and awareness). With that being said it is going to be very hard for us to move on. We think its going to take time. Walter & Michael"Walter HypesLos Angeles, CaliforniaApril 19, 2018

We were so thankful we were able to spend our last moments with our Bailey at home, with a fire in the fireplace (a favorite of Bailey’s) and a comfortable setting for her. Dr. Morgan and Lap of Love provide a very valuable and appreciated service."Barry KlinckhardtSt. Louis, MissouriApril 19, 2018

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Anne Mitchell, VMD"Lap of Love was wonderful. I am a veterinarian myself and felt my own dog was too painful to come into the clinic with me, and so I had called Lap of Love to come to my house. My own clients had been positive about the experience with them. They were fabulous, compassionate, and humane. I would recommend their services without qualification, and I will forever grateful for their kindness and professionalism."Beth Overley-AdamsonPhiladelphia, PennsylvaniaApril 19, 2018

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Ashley Payne, DVM"Putting a pet to sleep is one of the hardest decisions you make as a pet owner. Our sweet boy was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma in October 2017. At 14 years old, we decided to not pursue treatments that would most likely shorten his time with us. It was at this time I started to research heavily about who we would call to help him pass at home. Our guy was not a fan of the vet and was probably one of the only dogs that really hated car rides! So we wanted to make it as stress free for him as possible. He went down hill quickly on a Thursday and we knew it was time. My research had led us to Lap of Love. The reviews are honest and heartfelt and I can tell you that we had the best experience on one of the worst days for our family. The women we spoke with (Jenny, Bethany, and Erin) were so kind and caring. You can feel the kindness and that just means the world. Dr. Ashley Payne was the veterinarian that came to help us. From the moment we met her, she just put us at ease. She was kind and loving towards us and most importantly, our sweet boy. We had moved him out onto his favorite lounge chair on our porch and she was happy to sit on the floor next to him as she introduced herself to him and walked us through the process. She told us that part of her job is to make sure that it actually is time as most of us have a lot of guilt around when is the right time. His type of cancer goes downhill quickly, so it was time. Dr. Ashley gave us all the time we needed and treated our sweet boy with so much love. A week later and we still talk about Dr. Ashley and how much of an impact she made on our family that day. Our dog was part of our family for 14.5 years and he was family. He deserved the best and we gave him the best. Lap of Love will make you feel loved and cared for before and after."Jessica ForrestPowder Springs, GeorgiaApril 19, 2018

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erica Fry, DVM"We lost our Moo cat to gastric cancer and two weeks later our Rosie dog to renal failure and dementia. I have never used in-home euthanasia, but couldn't bear for Moo and Rosie's last moments to be frightening and traumatic. My Rosie dog was always a bit nervous and all she knew was that she got to eat a big chicken pot pie at home, and then she fell asleep. Moo got to eat vanilla ice cream. I couldn't have asked for a kinder end to their cherished lives.

Dr. Erica was so patient and informative. She cared for our pets like they were part of her own family and cared for our well-being as well. I can't even put into words how much I value this service and Dr. Erica."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Becky Frank, DVM"My entire experience with Lap of Love was full of compassion, patience, sympathy and competency from my first phone call to Dr. Becky's follow up the day after my sweet boy, Reese, crossed over. Reese suffered a massive seizure Friday afternoon, April 13 that was completely unexpected as he had always been in seemingly good health. After 2 emergency visits to vets on Friday and Saturday, his condition rapidly declined and by Sunday it was clear it was time to let him go.

Angie and Tina, the people who answered my calls to Lap of Love, could not have been more helpful. I felt safe during a time when it was a challenge just to stop crying long enough to speak. They encouraged me to call any time - even if I just needed to talk.

Dr. Becky was scheduled to visit us the next day (Mon) at 1pm - her first opening. She called on her way to let me know exactly what time she would arrive. Reese wasn't able to do much by that time but he did raise his head and wag his tail when she approached him. She was gentle, kind, sure, and clear in her explanation of what would happen and what to expect. Dr. Becky helped Reese cross over to eternity peacefully and without pain or any trauma whatsoever to him or to me. The thought of having to take my baby to a clinic in his frail condition was horrifying.

I had contacted another home visit vet on Sunday prior to calling Lap of Love. Sadly, that vet was not available on weekends. When my contact was returned it was late Monday afternoon letting me know the Dr. had no openings for the entire week. That vet's service is valuable too - when available - but it wasn't enough. When we are suddenly faced with extreme and unexpected circumstances as with Reese, we desperately need someone to answer our call. Death doesn't have weekends off.

I am grateful beyond expression to Dr. Becky and Lap of Love. I have never before experienced such depths of understanding and compassion."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Abigail Shearin, VMD, PhD"I honestly do not have the words to express my gratitude for the service Dr. Abby provided. She was so kind and genital with Mew, walked us through the process (including what to expect) and has provided grief support in the form of personal follow up and informational hand outs. Mew was my precious baby from day one, it brought me peace to be able to hold him in his final moments at home where is was comfortable."ADRIAN HARBAUGHPHILADELPHIA, PennsylvaniaApril 18, 2018
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi, DVM"My boxer just shy of 14 years old, Ginger's health was failing. She had been battling lymphoma and bad arthritis in rear legs and hip. I was devastated to have to let her go and she always hated going to the vets office. Once hearing about Lap of Love, I realized this would be the best option for Ginger. Dr. Manfredi was extremely caring and made my girl Ginger, along with my family at ease with the entire process. Ginger went in peace and Dr. Manfredi treated her with such dignity in her last moments and after she had passed. I highly recommend her to use during this hard and painful process. Thank you again Dr. Manfredi for caring and helping us through this time."Erin RyanSmithtown, NYApril 18, 2018
