Lap of Love Veterinarian: Beth Meadow"Dr. Beth Meadow was so wonderful and helpful to me during this most difficult of days. She exuded warmth and caring, making sure that both Rufus and I were as comfortable as we could be throughout the process. She also knew intuitively when to step away and give me and Rufus space alone after he had passed. Although this was one of the hardest days ever for me, it was a 1000% better because of the humanity Dr. Beth showed to me and Rufus. I'll never go through this again in an animal hospital setting if I can avoid it!"Jennifer HymanWASHINGTONSeptember 30, 2019Rufus's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Beth Meadow"This morning Dr. Beth helped our 16 year old cat Louie makes his final journey. She helped us with her utmost caring and gentle way. Louie had stage 2 CKD and was diagnosed with a malignant oral tumor last September. Louie was still maintaining his routine, which made the decision to let him go very difficult. He was completely relaxed and comfortable when he was given the final IV. Later in the day, I was overcome with grief and the thought that I had ended his life. Dr. Beth came by to return his collar, and she told that it was the cancer that took his life. She also told me that oral cancers metastasize late, and the pet will suffer when that happens. So, I am most grateful for Dr. Beth not only for her gentle care, but for her words which helped me accept letting my sweet boy go today."Noriko BellWASHINGTONFebruary 14, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Beth Meadow"My sweet Goldendoodle Zoey almost beat cancer 2 years ago. She rebounded for about a year and a half, but a tumor on her spleen was a ticking timebomb, and she was becoming more anemic by the day. Once she stopped eating and drinking I knew something had to be done before she had a traumatic, painful end.

Zoey immediately bonded with Dr. Beth, as if she had been waiting for her angel to arrive. She laid down on her bed, with her sister Abbey inches away in front of her. I was able to give her one final snuggle as she floated away. I cannot thank Dr. Beth enough for making my sweet, gentile Zoey's last moments peaceful and comforting. She was such a good natured dog, I needed to know her last moments would be surrounded with love. Thank you Dr. Beth."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Beth Meadow"From the moment she walked in our door, Dr. Beth put us at ease. She was quiet, gentle, and loving. She answered all of our questions, listened with interest and concern to our stories about our sweet beagle, Abbey. The care and time and gentleness with which she treated Abbey clearly showed her respect for our dog and our grieving family. She definitely made an extremely painful moment for us a bit more bearable. I wish all animals could have Dr. Beth care for them in their final moments."Valerie PageAlexandriaJune 14, 2018

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Beth Meadow"I am so grateful that a service like Lap of Love exists to help pets and owners navigate the unbelievably difficult and sad stage at the end of a pet's life. My dog Kona and I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Beth Meadow for a hospice consultation. Dr. Beth was kind, knowledgeable, and immensely helpful. She provided guidance on all facets of Kona's quality of life for his last month, including pain management, how to keep him comfortable, and medication/food choices. Dr. Beth also encouraged me to take lots of pictures, feed plenty of treats, and check off bucket list items.

I found it very difficult to decide the right time to say goodbye. Throughout the month, Dr. Beth provided encouraging words, wisdom, and guidance. I cannot thank her enough for always being available to answer questions and help me make the best choices so Kona could remain as comfortable as possible.

I will always miss my beloved pup, but I am so thankful for Dr. Beth's gentle and loving support throughout his last month with me."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Beth Meadow"Dr. Beth came to us at the end of a long day for her and was just wonderful throughout our last hours with Bisou. She must have been tired, but spent her time generously with us. She was calm, comforting, listened to us, read my memories of Bisou's life when I was unable to speak. She was kind and gentle with Bisou. Everything felt natural and peaceful. It could not have been a more beautiful experience, in the surroundings of my bedroom (Bisou's kingdom), with candles and lullaby music.
And even though it was so incredibly hard to let Bisou go, Dr. Beth assured us that this was the right decision, to avoid unnecessary suffering for Bisou, after he had let me know that it was time.. This transition could not have happened in a better way. Lap of Love is an incredible service that provides an act of mercy to our beloved pets and companions at the end of their lives. Thank you ever so much, Dr. Beth. Words are not enough to express our gratitude."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Beth Meadow"Dr Beth (Dr Beth Meadows)
I heard about Laps of Love and when it was time I called to ask questions. I had decided if possible I would have Laps of Love come to our home. It was a hard decision as she knew and loved all Vets at Dr Adams Mill and I did not know anyone at Laps of Love. But I thought if possible it was best if Sasha was in her home. After thinking it over we decided I would call Lap of Love. From the first call I knew I made the right decision. The call is not easy to make and of course I was in tears. The compassion came through the phone. When Dr Beth called me on December 2nd letting me know she as on the way, I knew again we made the right decision. Her compassion came through the phone. When we met, same. Dr Beth is so sweet, understanding, professional, prepared, compassionate, loving and knowledgeable. She helped make the transition peaceful. Sasha greeted Dr Beth with a Kiss at first sight. I believe she was saying. Thankyou!! I’m ready. It will be ok. I love you. All to Dr Beth. Sasha knew this was a difficult time for all land like she always did she wanted us all to know it would be ok and we were loved. She is such the LOVER.
I needed a few more minutes with Sasha. Dr Beth softly said its ok you take the time you need. Thank you Dr Beth for your service, kindness, your compassion. If there is ever a day you question if you should have this job as it is not easy. Please know you make a difference. You were a big part of helping Sasha go peacefully in the light. The transition was in an odd way somewhat beautiful as Sasha was ready and you helped make this transition peaceful. Thank you for checking in on me afterwards and offering up time to talk if I needed to talk. I appreciate you! You are Love!"
