Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"Our first experience with Lap of Love starting with our initial call to inquire of their services brought us much comfort. Dr. Sally Lynch came to our home and immediately knelt beside our dog Callie, started talking to her and massaging her. Callie was always an anxious dog, Dr. Sally's love and compassion made Callie calm and this was evident through the whole process. She also expressed empathetic concern for my four small grandchildren and gave them each a coloring book to deal with their loss. They were not present. Callie was removed from our home with gentleness and dignity, she was gently put on a gurney and covered with a fleece blanket and had a pillow for her head. It was comforting to see her in such good hands, which made the whole process more bearable.
Thank you Lap of Love!

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"Dr. Sally Lynch was wonderful. She was a calming and comforting presence the moment she walked in the door. I didn’t want to put my precious baby (or myself) through the trauma of the trip to the vet. I had two other cats that were euthanized at the vet’s office, and I probably waited longer than I should have, making it more of an emergency situation. I decided I didn’t want to go through that again or put my precious baby through that either, so I decided on home Euthanasia. My precious kitty was 19 years old and failing. It was time. Dr. Sally was very kind and loving, and treated my baby like she was her own. My precious girl crossed rainbow bridge peacefully in my arms at home. I have her paw print and a lock of her fur as a keepsake as well as her ashes.
I highly recommend using Lap of Love home euthanasia. It was more than worth every penny. Thank you so much Dr. Sally for your care and compassion in helping me get through this difficult time."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"When kidney disease reached an advanced stage in our beloved cat of 19 years and he was almost too weak to stand, we had to take the terrible, heart-wrenching decision to call Lap of Love, putting his welfare above ours.

We worried about how this would go, whether our cat would experience pain or discomfort in his last moments, but knew it would be selfish to postpone this any longer.

How lucky we were that Dr. Sally Lynch was the one that came to our home! She's a wonderful vet and a wonderful person and we needed both qualities as our beloved cat passed on. She administered the first sedative so carefully and expertly that our cat didn't even notice, and just kept surveying the living room as if nothing had happened. The second dose made him pass on peacefully without even a twitch. She made two exams, half an hour apart, to be sure that everything had gone as it should.

There just are no words that can express how grateful we are to Dr. Sally Lynch for her thoughtful, expert, highly professional manner in helping our cat in his last moments.

We will never forget, never, how Dr. Sally Lynch helped our cat so much in his last moments. God Bless you, Dr. Sally Lynch!!!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"Good morning Dr. Sally

I just wanted to respond back to you with this email when the time was right. Today seems like the perfect day!
Euthanizing Ruby was the hardest thing I have ever done. It took me two hours to go over whether it was the right thing to do for her. Then I came to the conclusion that I didn't want a stress filled suffering emergency for her or for my family. I wanted a peaceful, calm, loving, family oriented end of life for her. All of the things that Ruby used to Love she could not do anymore. The bad days out numbered the good. I just wanted you to know that Heather and I are extremely grateful to all of you at Lap of Love for a Top Notch Experience. I cannot think of my best friend going out of this world in any other way.
From our Hearts to yours.
Thank you for helping us threw an extremely emotional time. Your professionalism and kind hearts helps to ease some of the pain.
All our love,
Katrina, Heather and Ruby :)"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"It has been one week now since we had to say goodbye to our beautiful cat Jaime, after 16 wonderful years with her. Jaime was just days old when she was found outside in a drain pipe, cold and alone and crying, so young her eyes weren't even open yet. Because I was working from home, I was able to care for her, bottle feeding her as she grew and ignoring the vet who said she probably wouldn't make it. Make it she did and then some, and for the next 16 years she ruled our house like a little lion.

After a very healthy life as an indoor cat, Jaime started showing signs of oral cancer three months ago. The one thing we knew for sure was that we would not let her suffer, so as soon as the quality of her days started to decline, we did our research for someone who would be available to come into our home when the time was appropriate. We found Lap of Love online and I called and set up the appointment. From that very first call all the way through the process, everyone I spoke with was so compassionate and kind, which I really needed given my heartache at knowing I must say goodbye to my baby.

Dr. Sally Lynch arrived right on time and I can't say enough about her compassionate and wonderful demeanor throughout the entire process. I was a wreck but I was also ready because I knew Jaime was ready, which was the most important thing. Dr. Sally made something so incredibly difficult that much easier, and it was an absolutely perfect transition for Jaime. We took our time and she explained everything that would happen and what to expect each step of the way, which was so helpful.

Dr. Sally was amazing. Thank you, Lap of Love, for providing this wonderful service, and thank you, Dr. Sally, for your huge heart and perfect demeanor in helping grieving parents transition their beautiful babies. I just can't thank you enough.
And we'll see Jaime again in her meadow of boxes and bags. 💝"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"Dr. Sally made this very difficult time as comforting and gentle as it could be. Our sweet Tyson was able to stay in his favorite spot surrounded by his family while Dr. Sally told him what a good boy he was and helped ease us all thru the process. We miss Tyson so much but we are thankful to have had Dr. Sally there to make him comfortable and help us. She made a paw print that we keep with his photo and brought some materials for helping our son through the grief process. Thank you for your kindness and compassion Dr. Sally."Kristine DoyleLynn, MassachusettsApril 4, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"Our 16 year old kitty Roxy had been winning the battle with lymphoma for 4 years; but, lately, not so much. I did not want to bring her to the vet knowing what decision would have to be made. I talked to our vet, she totally understood and gave me a couple of hospice veterinarians that traveled. Below is what I told Animal Rescue League about the referral of Lap of Love:

Your referral of Lap of Love was so helpful. Dr. Sally was here yesterday. She was was wonderful. You can feel good when you give out their number for a hospice vet. She was here almost 2 hours, never made us feel rushed or embarrassed for caring. She respected Roxy totally.
Thank you for 16 years."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"Dr. Sally came over and was just amazing. She completely checked Mikko over and was able to provide me options of continued care or euthanasia. What was really important was that she named specific things Mikko was doing that indicated he was not well. For instance, I explained how his sleeping posture had changed a bit, and she told me it was probably because he wasn't able to feel comfy. She explained how his hyperthyroidism had probably reached a point where medication would no longer work and how exhausting that would be for him.

She was great at explaining exactly how everything would go and went very slowly.

We got Mikko into his favorite cuddling position on my lap, and the first injection made him sleepy and super cuddly. She was gentle as she touched his paws and the whole time, kept telling him what a good and sweet boy he was. She explained that Mikko could hear us and it was good to keep talking to him.

As she began giving him second injection, again explaining the entire process, I could feel him become still. I asked if he was gone and she said he had passed on.

She gave me a few minutes to be with him and then helped get him into a basket with blankets and she covered him up so he just looked like he was taking a cozy nap.

Dr. Sally was solicitous of how my other cats may react and helped me with ways to help them but also, ways to help myself.

With no exaggeration, having to put my sweet cat to sleep was the hardest thing I've ever done, and Dr. Sally made it completely pain free."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"Dr. Sally Lynch was so caring and kind to Dusty and my family through this difficult time. We were all lucky to be part of Dusty's life and also his end of life. It takes a special person like Dr. Sally to come in at the end of life and help make the decision of what is best for your pet. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"Dr. Sally Lynch was everything you would want someone to be in a situation like this. She just came to help our almost 17-year-old cat transition from this life to the next. She was gentle, kind, and caring. We so appreciate her thoughtfulness and care during a very sad time for our family. The prices were reasonable for home vet care, and we are so grateful we were able to allow our sweet, darling boy to have his last moments be as peaceful and gentle as possible."Sara MurrayChestnut Hill, MassachusettsMarch 18, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"I had already researched Lap of Love and knew I would be calling them when it was time. When that time came and the oncologist told me that my girl was deteriorating quickly, I called Lap of Love to make the soonest appointment. Two days later, Dr. Sally showed up for our appointment. I did not know what to expect. However I just wanted to say that Dr. Sally went above and beyond my expectations. She turned an otherwise very very sad day into one that was treated with such grace, sensitivity, respect and dignity. Princess left this earth so peacefully and comfortably, and Dr. Sally ensured that the experience for us was one that was exceptionally beautiful. I cannot thank her enough. I’ve been unable to write any of this down as I’ve just been too sensitive, even though it’s been three weeks to the moment when my girl passed. However I want everyone to know what a gift Dr. Sally is."Joanne ChristopherWestborough, MassachusettsMarch 12, 2019Princess's Pet Memorial

She is compassionate as eases you and your pet into it. Cant thank Dr. Sally and Lap of Love enough. I called in the morning and she was at my house before 11:00. Also made a nice paw imprint. I would highly recommend their services."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"When Fenway, my senior Boston Terrier, made it clear to me that it was time to say goodbye, I was completely panicked that his fear of the vet would make his last moments miserable. Although Fenway was always wonderful with the people that he trusted, he was unfortunately reactive with strangers, which made every trip to the vet a complete nightmare for both of us. Although the last few days without Fenway have been empty, I have taken great comfort in knowing that his last moments were peaceful, comfortable, and even joyful thanks to Dr. Sally Lynch.

Dr. Sally went out of her way to be patient with Fenway and to work with us to make sure that he was cozy in his bed, surrounded by those he trusted when it was time to say goodbye. She was happy to proceed at whatever pace was best for us and was so kind and gentle in every way. Despite the heartbreaking loss, I feel so incredibly grateful each day that we have only warm and pleasant memories of saying our goodbyes. Thank you so much for the gift you have given us."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"Saying goodbye to Snoopy was one of the hardest decisions we had to make as a family since Snoopy was such an integral part of our home. But because of old age was taking a toll on his body, Snoopy’s quality of life was declining and we could see that he wanted to rest. We called Lap of Love since we wanted Snoopy to spend his last moments in the comfort of his home, and we are so glad that we did. Thank you Dr. Sally Lynch for being so kind to Snoopy in his final moments and talking us through the process. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"When I got the news that my beautiful 15 year old baby girl Maddie was going to have to leave us soon, our vet recommended Lap of Love. I was so apprehensive and didn’t know what to expect. Dr. Sally came to our home and had an immediate soothing and caring energy about her. She explained the entire process and let me have as much time as I needed. I cannot say enough about her. She was exactly who I needed to be there. My husband was stuck out of town due to weather (she came during a snow storm). She was gentle and kind and treated Maddie like she was her own. Thank you for making the worst day one that I can also look back on with fond memories of how peaceful it was."Samantha TerrioStoneham, MassachusettsJanuary 28, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"Thank you Dr. Sally. You were kind and compassionate and helped us at a time of great distress by guiding us to make the right choice, one that was best for Bobo. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"Dr. Sally was amazing, she made the process feel more as though I was helping my 17 1/2 yr old Taj let go and end any pain...rather than feeling like I was "putting him down". She came in with dog pheromones sprayed on her so Taj was sniffing her all over. I held him while she injected the sedative. She let him walk\stumble around, Taj was playful and still eating his Kelly's roast beef. He laid in my arms for a few minutes and we placed him in his bed when she gave the final injection. The whole time from beginning to end the doctor talked to Taj with a calming voice and took him away in a cushioned wicker basket. Thank you Dr. Sally & Lap of Love for your service and compassion. <3

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"Dr. Sally helped us say goodbye to our sweet, 14.5 year old, yellow Lab, Luna. It was a very sad moment yet Dr Sally was so patient, compassionate and respectful of the needs and wishes of my husband and myself, as well as Luna and our other dog. We put Luna down in her bed in our kitchen. I was hesitant to euthanize her this way, but it truly was a beautiful, peaceful, dignified experience. Dr Sally is truly gifted in helping all of us navigate this emotional process. I can’t say enough about how much I appreciate and respect her gentle, knowing touch. She kept all of us together. Saying goodbye to a family pet is so emotional and sad, yet it eventually comes to every pet. Lap of Love and Dr Sally Lynch made our goodbye a beautiful experience so we can remember only good memories of Luna. Thank you. It should be said that every person I spoke with as I was making these plans was compassionate, empathetic, patient and respectful. Thank you Dr Sally; thank you Lap of Love Boston."Elizabeth WilsonNewton, MassachusettsJanuary 21, 2019
