Lap of Love Veterinarian: Carolyn Leahy"Dr. Carolyn was so sweet. She explained everything and made us feel comfortable throughout the whole process. I couldn’t ask for a better person to help us through our difficult time. When it was over she bundled Kitty up like a precious package and I knew he was in good hands when he left the house. I wouldn’t have changed anything. So happy we were able to do this for all of us."Judith BassoSalemFebruary 20, 2021Baby Kitty's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Carolyn Leahy"It's not simple for my wife and I to express into words just how incredible Dr. Carolyn Leahy has been with Noah's passing. My wife and I were at our absolute lowest. She and everyone at Lap of Love, even those on the phone were incredible and understanding with care.
Noah, had been my cat since I adopted him as a kitten in 2006. Last summer Noah was diagnosed with CKD, and has been on treatment since. His health started rapidly declining after New Years. After exhausting every worth to save him, the time had come to put Noah down. My wife and I agreed this should be done in a comfortable place he knew, surrounded by people who loved him, rather than at the vet office. Unfortunately, Noah passed away just before Dr. Leahy arrived. He couldn't no longer hang on. It must've been 10 mins later when Dr. Leahy called us saying she would arriving early. We informed her Noah had just passed, to which she asked if we wanted her to stop by or be alone. We asked for her to stop by and confirm his passing for the vet. She happily obliged, and arrived. My wife and I were inconsolable over losing Noah. Carolyn was very professional and understanding about the situation and the sadness we were stricken with. She was unbelievably helpful and caring with great compassion. She offered to take Noah's body and deliver him to the location where he was to be cremated. I was not ready to part with my boy. When we asked if we could deliver him ourselves to the crematorium, she made it happen.
My wife and I still get choked up with tears over the painfully loss of Noah. We can both agree, Dr. Leahy was a very important and special part in an emotionally painful day. We are forever grateful to her, and will speak highly of her and Lap of Love to everyone."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Carolyn Leahy"I originally found Lap of Love for my sister-in-law in Florida. Saying goodbye to her 16 year old Maggie was a very emotional experience for her, but, she had nothing but good things to say about the services provided by the local Lap of Love.

When our 13 year old Nick started failing the last several months, we knew we were going to have a decision to make. And, if you're reading this, you know how gut wrenching that decision can be. After working from home for 5 years and then being retired for 3 he was my constant companion but I knew he was suffering. The thought of taking him to the sterile vet's office would have made a difficult situation even worse. I was so happy to find a local Lap of Love. He took to Dr. Carolyn immediately and left this world in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by love.

I can't say enough about how compassionate and caring Dr. Carolyn and all of the staff were. I would highly recommend their services to anyone during this difficult time."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Carolyn Leahy"On a Saturday morning our family came to the decision that is was time for our beloved cat Ava leave this world. She was 15 years old, her health was failing and she was suffering. She had been a part of our family for 14 years and it was important to us to be present throughout the entire process. We wanted ensure it was as peaceful as possible. One we had made the decision, we were ready to give Ava the gift of a comfortable goodbye that day or the next day, but saturdays can be tough days tog et services. Our regular vet had appropriate corona virus precautions that did not allow us to be with Ava the entire time. Taking her there would also have meant putting her through the stress of a ride in the care and being in the animal hospital with multiple strangers. This was not how we wanted Ava to spend her last moments on earth. We were so thankful Lap of Love was able to come to our home that same afternoon. The vet that came was very kind and patient. She listened empathetically as I shared some aspects of Ava's Life that suddenly felt so important for me verbalize. I never felt rushed or questioned about our decision. The vet didn't just care for Ava, she cared for her humans as well. Ava was quite comfortable the entire time and I absolutely recommend this service to anyone."Jill WellsCarlisleJanuary 9, 2021
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Carolyn Leahy"Dr. Carolyn was a godsend, as is this service. I couldn't bear the thought of putting Dolly in a cat carrier and hauling her away from her home to end her life. She is of course incredibly professional, and it was a very peaceful, calming experience. I am happy that Dolly is no longer suffering, though I will always miss her. I love that they do the footprints and lock of fur, too--wish I had thought of this for our other two cats."Andrew HostetlerLOWELLJanuary 8, 2021Dolly's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Carolyn Leahy"One thing was for certain, Peggy did NOT like going to the vet. Since I knew her lymphoma was terminal, I was really fearful of what the end of Peggy's life would look like. Lap of Love could not have possibly made this easier (even during a pandemic). Thank you to Vicky who helped to answer all questions and to help us schedule the procedure.

Dr. Carolyn was so kind and gentle with both Peggy and us. She was patient and ensured that Peggy was as comfortable as she could be and I am forever indebted to her. She was so genuine and took the time to talk to us and learn about Peggy and our other critters. She felt like a friend, a friend who is blessed with the strength and compassion to do this important work. Because of her, we were able to give Peggy the gift of a painless and stress-free goodbye. Thank you so much Dr. Carolyn. I will never forget your kindness."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Carolyn Leahy"I can't thank Carolyn from Lap of Love enough for helping us through the passing of our little Ernie.

I had never experienced making this decision but you not only comforted our Ernie you comforted us and walked us through everything with such compassion.

I am so grateful and lucky to have found Lap of Love online. Carolyn with all my heart thank you for being there. This was always something I wanted for Ernie, no matter when his time came, for him to be at home, calm and with all of us there so say our goodbyes, especially his bother (Edgar the Pug).

We could not have asked for a more peaceful and loving experience for Ernie and for us during this unexpected time. Thank you for explaining everything, thank you for the paw print and hair clippings. Thank you for giving us the time with him alone after everything was over. The care you took Ernie helped us tremendously.
And finally, thank you for reaching out to us, to see how we are and to let us know you're there in case we need to talk.
Truly thank you,
Jessica, Marc and Christian"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Carolyn Leahy"We cannot thank Dr. Carolyn enough for being with us when we had to say goodbye to Beau last week. None of us have ever been through this, and having such a warm, caring, professional, lovely presence made a world of difference. We seriously cannot stop raving about how incredible your services are, Lap of Love is truly a gift."MiddletonNovember 19, 2020

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Carolyn Leahy"Dr Carolyn was so sweet and kind. She gave us so much information before making our decision.

We did not want to take Bubba into a ER because of COVID we would not be allowed in.

We searched for many places and found Lap of Love who made time on a Saturday evening, Halloween, to come to our home.

We will be forever grateful for her honesty, openness, kindness and sincerity."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Carolyn Leahy"On Monday we put down our dog Loki after being diagnosed with cancer only two weeks before. It spread quickly, and Loki probably had it for awhile without showing us any symptoms. Our time with Loki was limited, after getting diagnosed it was like he withered away at the blink of an eye. The cancer was eating everything; it was heartbreaking. When we started talking about putting him down I was instantly anxious. Not because of the idea ending his pain, but rather because I knew how the process went in the vets office. I knew how afraid of the vet my Loki was. I knew that only one person could be in the office, and that for everyone else in the family, we would just be left with him being 'gone'. Thank goodness I called for an alternative and found Lap of Love. From start to finish the process was stress free. From the calm voice on the other end of the phone, to doing payment before so I didn't have to worry about it on that day, to allowing my kids and other dog to be present so they could also say there good bye's and to simply saying Loki has his angel wings when they confirmed he passed... the experience was peaceful. The only way I can explain it, peaceful."Heidi DavisPembrokeOctober 27, 2020Loki's Pet Memorial
