Lap of Love Veterinarian: Julie Zalenka"I couldn't be more grateful to Dr. Julie for making such a difficult time so peaceful. She was patient, compassionate and caring. She gave me all the time I needed to say goodbye to my beloved dog Princess. She even tenderly wrapped my girl in a blanket to take her for transport. It was as if she loved my dog as much as i did. I can't say thank you enough."Sylvia WoodsBuffaloOctober 16, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Julie Zalenka"We've had to lay several pets to rest over the years but none was more special than Shiloh. Sure he was a little nuts and required constant attention but you couldn't ask for a better guard dog or buddy. No one got down his driveway without him letting us know. Even yesterday on his final day the UPS man showed up with a package and although he was unable to stand he still barked. Ironically the package was his medicine, which was intended to perhaps, buy him some more time. There was not a wild animal that he did not want to chase and if dad brought the gun out most of the time something would fall from a tree and be pounced on as soon as it hit the ground. He loved to ice fish and enjoyed long walks outside of his invisible fence area. He had an incredible sense of smell that any blood hound would be proud of. He would do almost anything for a hard boiled egg. I believe that he played a daily game of hiding his morning movements so that dad would have to search the entire yard on poop patrol but somehow I always missed one and would ultimately step in it or run over it with the mower. I can hear him chuckling and somehow that daily chore doesn't seem like such a big deal today. He was certainly a fighter and even required two doses of sedative from the vet before he relaxed enough for the final injection of pink juice. Everything was difficult with him even finding a piece of ground which we could dig a hole in but alas he can still look over his driveway and keep guard as he has done for over 12 years. RIP buddy and I hope you have a wonderful journey once you cross the rainbow bridge. Until then, may there be abundant squirrels for you to chase. Thank you Dr. Julie for being with us and helping Shiloh onto the rest of his journey..."Robert JonesRansomvilleSeptember 29, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Steven Schultz"i have to say Dr. Schultz was always my angel. he has saved so many of my fur babies. he has a heart of gold and a passion for animals beyond the all mighty dollar. he is always honest and will tell it like it is. he has sat on the floor with some of my dogs, they knew he cared. i so miss him as my vet but i'm so glad he is doing more for the animals to help them in their time of need. bless you for all you've done for me and for the many more you will help. you were our vet for over 20yrs and i have not found another like you. <3"brenda friesLockportAugust 18, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Julie Zalenka"My 14 year old mini , long-haired dauchshund (Layla) was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure almost a year ago. The vet told me she had about a year to live, but I thought for sure she would live another 2 years. The weekend before we had to put her to sleep, she was running around the yard and acting like a puppy. Then 4 days later she began throwing up and acting disorientated. By Friday night I was calling Lap of Love crying on the phone and making an appointment. The woman on the phone was beyond supportive and compassionate. Sunday morning Dr. Julie came to my house and couldn't have been kinder. Layla and I sat in the backyard on a blanket listening to the birds chirp while Dr. Julie took all Layla's pain away. Every day I miss my soft and loving Layla and she'll always have a piece of my heart."Elizabeth JohannesNorth TonawandaAugust 5, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Julie Zalenka"Dr. Julie was wonderful, taking all the time we needed for the process. It was the first time I had done this at home and was so much less stressful for me and for Schmitty not having to go there. I highly recommend it when you have to perform that last act of love."Janice JaskowiakLancasterJuly 25, 2019Schmitty's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Julie Zalenka"Dr. Julie,
Thank you so much for your compassion in our family's time of need. While it was so unbelievably difficult for us, you were able to give our Sammy the gift of peace. Because of you, he got to pass away peacefully at home, in his own bed surrounded by his loved ones. We are grateful to you for taking away his pain and suffering. Sammy is finally at peace now."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Julie Zalenka"Little did we realize that the last Saturday in June would be the last time we would have the treasure of our beloved Titus to hold and care for. We were faced with the only way we could express our love for him in his time of severe distress. Just a short time ago he was all play and gleeful. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with Degenerative Myelopathy and despite our attempts to circumvent the inevitable, we called Lap of Love. They had been highly recommended by a friend, who had endured the same need to say good bye to their pet. Calling them was the only bright moment in such a dark time for us. From the outset, they were absolutely the kindest and most respectful group we could have hoped for. Their set up staff, contact staff, and Veterinarian were all just wonderful. It certainly went a long way in helping us cope with the situation. Our interaction with Dr. Julie became very personal and I will not recant it here. She was amazing, thoughtful, professional and as I said had the persona to immediately become part of our home and the process we had to engage in. We will be forever thankful to her and I would never think of having this enormous challenge of saying good bye to our Titus end with such a calm, serene, respectful, and touching memory that we now have. Thank you Dr. Julie and your staff ......... forevermore!"Richard Ralyea2016July 8, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Steven Schultz"Our family is so grateful to Dr. Schultz and the Lap of Love program. Our dog was unable to walk and in pain. Having a Veterinarian come to your home where your pet can peacefully be put to rest in his own environment is so much easier. Dr. Schultz was very kind, yet matter of fact. He provided an exam, his professional advice, and assurance that we were making the right decision as our pet was in severe pain. Due to our pets age we couldn't put him through numerous tests just to give ourselves more time with him as his quality of life was already so poor. Dr. Schultz was very thorough in explaining the process and allowed us to take our time in going through one of the hardest days our family has endured. We our grateful to Dr.Schultz and we highly recommend Lap of Love if you are experiencing a similar situation."Candace FulfordLockportMay 31, 2019Moose's Pet Memorial
