Dr. Lucy showed true compassion as she walked us through the process and allowed us to say goodbye. It was such a comfort to us that Duke was able to spend his last moments in our home surrounded by us. We will be forever grateful to Dr. Lucy and Lap of Love for making this most difficult day in our lives as peaceful as possible.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Toni Knox"Dr. Toni arrived on time and sat down without family members. She was very sensitive to our needs and addressed the concerns we had, since this was our first time releasing our dog. She made sure we were comfortable with our decision before proceeding. I appreciated the love she showed to Amber and placing her in a nice basket. Thank you Dr. Toni for being there in our time of sorrow."John LisacchiBroomallJuly 24, 2019Amber's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"My family and I were so fortunate enough to be introduced to Lap of Love and to Dr. Brad. Dr. Brad helped me make an informed decision about my baby, who was diagnosised with terminal cancer just a few weeks ago. He is intelligent, articulate, kind and genuine. It is because of him that my baby, Greta, had the best two weeks on "hospice" and it was because of him that my baby never even knew she was dying and it was because of him that she peacefully fell asleep in my lap, surrounded my love and rotisserie chicken. He is a true angel....."bridget glantzchalfontJuly 15, 2019Greta's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"June 19th 2018 was an extremely difficult day for our family because we had to put down our 14 year old beagle-"Bogey." He was our 4th child. He truly was one of our family. He had a wonderful life and made all of our lives wonderful in return. We can't thank Lap of Love enough for all its compassionate, and professional service. Because of your service our whole family was able to be with Bogey, in our home, as he passed to his life without bladder cancer, without dry eyes or hip dysplasia.
Thank you for helping us honor our beautiful Bogey with a painless passing.
A year later, Lap of Love has connected with us again to memorialize Bogey with a beautiful poem. We'll never forget him and we'll never forget your amazing service and compassion."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"I would highly recommend your services. Our 11.5 year Old English Bulldog, Moka's vet was not able to come to our home to do a private euthanasia until 2 days later and suggested we could contact Lap of Love. I called in the early afternoon and by 5:20 PM that same day Dr. Brad arrived at our home. He evaluated Moka who had been having cluster seizures and never really recovered even once on anti-seizure medication and assured us we were making the right decision. Dr. Brad is not only professional, but kind and compassionate. I would also like to compliment Jennifer who took my phone call initially & set up the appointment with Dr. Brad, and followed up with a phone call and email. Thanks again!"Deb LandisHatfieldJune 21, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"We were so fortunate to have Dr. Brad Bates care for our 12 + yr old yellow lab, Jamie in his last weeks. We chose to have Dr. Brad make a home evaluation visit as we could no longer get our 90 lb love in our car. While Lap of Love makes it clear they do not do diagnostic testing, our dog's issues were readily apparent to the professional eye and physical exam by Dr. Brad. Since our dog still had quality to his life, we moved forward with a new med and a change in frequency of another. At the time, what was most soothing was the education we received about what to look for as our Jamie declined. We were provided an estimate of 1 - 6 months but noted a severe increase in symptoms and behavioral changes after about a month. We knew we needed to schedule a final appointment and Dr. Brad agreed through text messaging and photos sent of Jamie. The following day, Jamie had a very peaceful exit from this life through the gentle administration of medications. While it was/is devastating to lose him, it was time. We felt greatly supported by Dr. Brad and even the phone staff. Highly recommend."Kate JohnsonElkins ParkJune 21, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"Dr. Brad was wonderful. He got to meet Lexi over a year ago when I thought the end was near (she had congestive heart disease.) Dr. Brad prescribed additional heart medications and Lexi was almost back to normal for over a year. I am grateful that Dr. Brad had the opportunity to get to know Lexi when she was still joyful and active and I appreciate his warm compassion during Lexi's passing. Thank you, Dr. Brad."Marilyn BullockRose ValleyJune 20, 2019Lexi's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Melinda Glavin"I want to thank Dr. Melinda for helping our family through an impossibly difficult day. Our Delilah had been a wonderfully healthy girl - right up until she wasn't. It was a devastating decision for my husband and I to make, but we cannot thank Lap of Love and Dr. Melinda enough for making that experience as peaceful and loving as possible. Dr. Melinda also helped answer questions from my 4, 6, and 8 year old kids. She gave us space to grieve, and treated Delilah like she was her own dog. It's so hard to say goodbye, but Lap of Love gave us a beautiful and respectful space to do so."Ashley RossiGlensideJune 18, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"After his diagnosis with a terminal illness and several months of successful symptom management, our beloved Axel Foley, a member of our family for 13 years, passed on peacefully to the next great dog park where he will be united with many of his life-long friends. This transition was assisted with the compassionate, empathetic and professional care of Dr. Brad and Lisa. We thank them profoundly for their assistance and comfort through this difficult, but necessary for Axel's sake, transition. We will always cherish the fondness and love we shared with Axel during his life-long journey.

The decisions we faced during this phase weren't easy but after our relationship with these wonderful folks, we know they were the right ones and the best for Axel.

We sincerely Thank You!"
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"I would highly recommend Lap of Love to any pet parent.
Compassionate, empathetic from the initial contact to the very end and beyond.
Dr. Brad was so reassuring and comforting to our family through this difficult event.
Our "Gentle Giant" Jake left us peacefully in his own bed surrounded by his family in our home.
When the time comes that we are faced with this difficult decision again, it is a relief to us
knowing Lap of Love will be there to help and comfort us.

"Thank you" to a very special group of people."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Melinda Glavin"On Saturday Dr. Melinda came to our home to put our boy Jake down. Jake had hip dysplasia, and a tumor growing in his throat. It was the hardest phone call to make to set it up but I am so glad I used Lap of Love. Jake used to get so much anxiety going to the Vet and I could not see putting him through that just to put him down. He was very relaxed and unbothered by Dr. Melinda. Dr. Melinda explained everything step by step, and Jake went peacefully to the Rainbow bridge. I can not thank Dr. Melinda enough for her kindness and support.

Lap of Love is wonderful, I am so glad we were able to send our boy to heaven in the most comfortable way possible. He was our life and we are heartbroken.
We just received his ashes today and we are so glad to have him home. I would highly recommend Lap of Love for home care services for your pets."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"We just needed to put our almost 10 year old Kate down due to intestinal lymphoma. She was always terrified at the vet's office and I couldn't face having her last hours marked by fear. Lap of Love was recommended by my vet and I contacted them. They were extremely compassionate and the arrangements were very easy to make. The vet that came was Dr. Brad. He arrived on time and gave us all the time we needed to say our last goodbyes. He was very gentle with Kate, in fact she didn't even cry when he gave her the first injection. Her passing was peaceful and compassionate. I would definitely call Lap of Love in the future if I needed to put another pet down."Marie CassqadySouthamptonJune 8, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"There is not enough space to say all the wonderful things about Lap of Love. This was my second time using Dr. Brad and he will ALWAYS be my choice to help my beloved pets pass and cross the Rainbow Bridge. Of course, the pet's comfort level is of utmost important. No stress going to the vet's office, which most dogs do not like. They are able to pass on their own dog bed, sharing it with the owner's arms wrapped around them, whispering how much you love them enough to let go so they feel no more pain.
Alternatives are discussed with pros and cons and they do not rush you to decide. Time is of no essence because they definitely are there for you and your pet at this most difficult time with outstanding compassion. Like I said, I could go on and on, but I would and have recommended Lap of Love to everyone. Four people I have recommended them to have used Lap of Love and have called me back to say how wonderful they are in a time of sorrow."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Melinda Glavin"Dr. Melinda was an absolute blessing to us and to Brighton. The kindness and tenderness that Dr. Melinda showed for our Brighton warmed our hearts and was so comforting. With Dr. Melinda’s support and guidance, we were able to keep Brighton comfortable during his last moments, and she was there to help shepherd us through the final stage of Brighton’s life. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Melinda Glavin"The most compassionate and caring doctor we have ever dealt with for our pup. Melinda not only showed our dog her love she shared it with us and made this very difficult situation a bit easier to deal with. She treated Chrissy as if she was her own personal dog and when she wrapped her in that beautiful pink dog blanket and laid her in the basket our hearts were broken but also at peace. Thank you Dr. Melinda!"Carol & Tom DunleavySpringfieldApril 20, 2019Chrissy's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Toni Knox"We had to say goodbye to our beloved dog at a young eight years old. That reality was heartbreaking, but Dr. Toni made our day as good as a bad day could be. She was polite, professional, and prepared to answer our questions and proceed at our pace. We very much appreciated her courtesy. In addition, she went beyond the strictly relevant dialogue to note how beautiful, sweet, and well-mannered our dog was. It was lovely to see her appreciate him. We said a blessing for our dog, and, unprompted, Dr. Toni thoughtfully knelt with us and said amen. We will always miss our pup, but we will never regret the decision to have Dr. Toni join us on that day. Thank you, Dr. Toni, for your kindness and professionalism."PhiladelphiaApril 19, 2019
