Lap of Love Veterinarian: Anne Mitchell, VMD"Dr. Anne was truly an angel. Her bedside manner was both comforting and understanding. We could not have asked for a more compassionate experience. Macy will be greatly missed, however, the way she passed with everyone who loved her present, brings comfort to us all. I highly recommend Lap of Love. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Toni Knox, DVM"Dr. Toni, I'll never forget you. You were SO COMPASSIONATE & SYMPATHETIC to what I was going through. You explained what was happening as Maks rested his head on my leg as he went to sleep (he looked so peaceful). Then you started to put this really nice blanket over and I was thinking.....WHOA lady and was getting ready to tell you DON'T put that over his head and then you stopped at neck & TUCKED it in......I WISH I could say more than just THANK YOU......YES I can...….BLESS YOU"Jim Klusman JrPhila, PennsylvaniaMarch 17, 2019Maks's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates, VMD"Dr. Brad is the kindest and most compassionate human being I have ever met. His language in our time of need was comforting and understanding. The care he gave our Sandy in her last moments and after she passed will never be forgotten. I recently recommended Dr. Brad to a family member in need. I'm so thankful for his role in this part of our and Sandy's journey. Thanks you, Dr. Brad.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates, VMD"August of 2017 we were fortunate in finding the Lap of Love to help make our beloved Rex more comfortable in his final stages of life. They came to our house to evaluate him, help us mange medication and comfort us. Rex left us a year ago today March 13, very peacefully thanks to Lap of Love. We thank them for giving us more time with him which we feel was a gift. We cannot express how grateful we are with Lap of Love. Lap of Love's staff are very compassionate people and were here for us. Thank you again."Kate & Larry YatesHavertown, PennsylvaniaMarch 13, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Anne Mitchell, VMD"I couldn't have asked for more. Lap of Love worked with me on my schedule, even with a short notice. Dr. Anne was compassionate and took great care with my Gizmo - even with the lovely basket she used to take him to her car. This was much better than taking an anxious dog to the vet."Roz NathansonWynnewood, PennsylvaniaMarch 12, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Anne Mitchell, VMD"Dr. Anne is an amazing woman who does wonderful work. She was extremely compassionate yet professional during such a difficult process for us. Sadie was truly part of our family and very much loved by us all. When Dr. Anne arrived she spent a little time getting to know Sadie and our family and truly made us felt like she cared. When it came time, Dr. Anne walked us through the process so that we would know exactly what to expect. She worked with a loving touch and was very reassuring that we were doing the best thing we could for Sadie. We never felt rushed and there were multiple times when Dr. Anne offered to step out to give us some private moments alone. Through her, Sadie was able to leave this world in the most peaceful way possible, in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by those who loved her."Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaMarch 10, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Melinda Glavin, DVM"Dr. Melinda Glavin was so sweet and loving to both Trooper and us. She made the process of saying goodbye to our beloved Trooper a little easier. I was so glad that he was first given a shot to sedate him-one that he didn’t even feel-he was so sedated that he was snoring. She explained the whole process as she went along and gave us as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes."Lisa, Charlie, Brian TomaselloHammonton, New JerseyMarch 6, 2019Trooper's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates, VMD"Lap of Love provides such a beautiful service to pets and their families. It is a heartbreaking decision to make to have a beloved pet pass on but Dr. Brad made the entire experience as peaceful and painless as it could be. Our dog Huck was with us for 13 wonderful years and it was so comforting to us that his final moments could be spent in our home, comfortable in his own dog bed with his beloved stuffed animals and both of us there to let him know how much he as loved. Dr. Brad made the entire thing so calm, gentle and unrushed and made us feel comforted and cared for as well as Huck was during this difficult time. I would highly recommend Lap of Love and Dr. Brad to anyone making this difficult decision and wanting to have their pet pass on in the most gentle and kind way possible."Erin SchubertPhiladelphia, PennsylvaniaMarch 4, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates, VMD"Dr. Brad and the amazing support staff at Lap of Love made one of the hardest decisions I ever had to make doable and with that their commitment to the animals we love made the worst day one of the most beautiful as I was able to have my sweet Bodhi home with me where he was loved everyday and when his time came where he was most comfortable. Dr. Brad took time to get to know Bodhi and where he was in the aging process. He kept me informed and helped gently guide me through decisions of what to try and when to try and ultimately when we tried everything. No pressure, no judgement just support and information. I am thankful to have been able to have Lap of Love and Dr. Brad during this time."Suzanne CampbellAmbler, PennsylvaniaMarch 3, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Melinda Glavin, DVM"Our 12 year old beagle had a minor seizure and we rushed her to our vet. He diagnosed her with a liver mass and high liver enzymes. He treated her with antibiotics and a pain drip and we took home medication. When we left his office, I was extremely distraught, thinking that she had only a week or 2 to live. Apparently, the meds worked well for her and she started to behave normally again. But I was concerned that there could be a sudden decline in her health - Dr. Melinda warned us that the liver could rupture. I called Lap of Love and made an appointment each day for 2 days in advance to ensure that we wouldn't have to wait in the event that Abby was suffering. They were very kind in allowing me to cancel and reschedule. (I was always mindful in giving them 24 hours notice.) They offered to have Dr. M do a phone consult, which was very appreciated. After speaking with her, I decided to have her come over to examine Abby and recommend a course of action, with euthanasia an option only if necessary to ensure that Abby would not suffer. Dr. Melinda was very kind, easy to talk with, compassionate, thorough, and professional. She recommended that we take Abby for another blood test to see if her liver enzymes were still high. Sure enough, they had dropped substantially, and we were able to relax. She advised us on what to do in the event that the blood test results were still problematic, so we were prepared for any contingency. I love that Dr. Melinda is still available to answer questions through e-mail. All of the wonderful things that I'd heard about Lap of Love were true. We hope Abby still has a couple more years of a good quality life. But, when the time comes, we will call Dr. Melinda back to our home to help Abby go to the Rainbow Bridge peacefully and painlessly."Isabell CardonickWallingford, PennsylvaniaFebruary 28, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates, VMD"It is so incredibly hard to say good bye to your beloved pet. Dr. Brad with Lap of Love brought with him such kindness and compassion. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates, VMD"My vet referred us to this service. I used Lap of Love to peacefully lay my two 16 year old cats to rest . Each died a year apart from one another. Dr Brad was so wonderful! He gave me as much time as I needed to say my goodbye. I held Miko through the entire process. After he was sedated and comfortable Dr. Brad suggested I take 15 minutes to hold him. After he was euthanized he gave me time alone with him. Lap of Love is a wonderful service that I highly recommend. They are compassionate, patient, accommodating, professional and one of the best group of veterinarians I have ever met. I am so glad I was able to give this wonderful gift of a peaceful passing to my beloved pets of 16 years. I think all pets and owners should be as fortunate to work with Lap of Love! They really do understand that your pet is your family member and do a fantastic job helping you through the process of saying your final goodbye."Merion Station, PennsylvaniaFebruary 18, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Anne Mitchell, VMD"Our beloved Holly was our first pet and a true member of the family. As Holly's heath deteriorated, our vet recommended we contact Lap of Love to assist with our wishes to have Holly euthanized at home in a conformable and familiar setting. From our first call to Lap of Love to Dr. Anne coming to our home; our family and Holly were treated with the utmost kindness, compassion, empathy, respect, and professionalism. Dr. Anne, took the time to examine Holly and reaffirm our decision was the right decision. Dr. Anne further explained the procedure and allowed us the time we needed to say our goodbye's. Holly was completely at ease and passed in the comfort of our home peacefully with my wife and I at her side.

It wasn't easy to make the decision to say goodbye to Holly, but the experience with everyone at Lap of Love made this experience the best it could be."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates, VMD"In a perfect world, we would never need to say goodbye to our beloved fur kids. In an imperfect world, there is Dr. Brad, who truly helps make the best of a very sad and difficult situation. One of our family cats, Sammy, had been suffering from kidney disease and we called Dr. Brad to get some clarity on how to proceed. We feared that Sammy was suffering and wouldn't be with us for long, but making the decision to say goodbye was just so, so difficult. In the kindest, most compassionate way, Dr. Brad helped us to see the situation from Sammy's point of view and in doing so we came to understand that the most loving thing we could do was to let Sammy pass. With Dr. Brad's help, we did just that.

I truly can't say enough good things about Dr. Brad, who is a uniquely caring and empathetic individual and a very knowledgeable veterinarian. Having him with us at the end of Sammy's life was a gift to all of us. I also have to say that everyone I spoke to at Lap of Love was just so thoughtful and helpful and went out of their way to help us and to listen with a sympathetic ear. Of course at the end of the day, we had lost our Sammy and we grieved. But even the grieving process was made less burdensome knowing that we had provided him with a compassionate, loving and dignified farewell. Thank you Dr. Brad and Lap of Love. Your service to pet lovers is truly a godsend."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates, VMD"I've lost track of the number of dogs I have had in my over 70 years on the planet. I do know I have had 5 Great Danes that I, and my children, have loved deeply. On January 2, 2019, Dr. Brad paid us a visit. Solemn as it was, the experience was memorable and the most touching I have ever had when saying goodbye to my dear love.
Thank you to everyone at Lap of Love who contributed to making Buddha's end journey a spiritual experience.
