Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"We cannot say enough about Dr. Brad Bates. When we knew it was time to say goodbye to our sweet Callie who had given us nothing but pure joy for almost 17 years, we made arrangements with Lap of Love. However, the day before our scheduled date, it became apparent that we needed to proceed on a more urgent basis. Dr. Bates accommodated us within an hour and he could not have been more compassionate or professional. He explained the process thoroughly in a gentle manner, was sensitive to our overwhelming sadness, and treated Callie with respect the entire time. As a result of his kindness, we were able make sure our sweet little girl could go to sleep peacefully in her own home surrounded by all of us who loved her so much. We truly can’t thank him enough and will be forever grateful."Beth GallagherHaverfordMay 2, 2020
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"Dr. Brad was wonderful in such a sad moment. He explained all that he was going to do for Floyd. He was both respectful and professional. He let us have our time with Floyd before and after.

I would also like to thank Jessie, who I spoke to to make the appointment. She just like Dr Brad was both respectful and professional. Jessie took the time to answer my questions as well as let me have my crying moments on the phone as it was so terrible to make that phone call."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"It is truly a rare person who can enter a stranger's home, during the height of Covid19, one of the saddest days of her life, and instantly become a calming, helpful, and ensuring presence. Rare for sure, but yet this is exactly what Dr. Brad is.

I called Lap of Love, when I knew it was time for me to say good bye to my Jali. He was declining and showing more signs of discomfort and pain. I wanted his parting to be as peaceful as possible without the anxiety of a car ride to the vet. Because of the very professional and able services of Dr. Brad, he passed away in my arms peacefully and without pain.

Dr. Brad talked me through everything that would happen. He reminded me to keep talking to him when I was choking on my own sobs and had temporarily stopped. He showed compassion and kindness. I felt at all times informed, understood, cared for, and empathized with.

Thank you, Dr. Brad, for helping me let go of my friend in the kindest way possible. Thank you for understanding what I would need to hear. Thank you for caring that I was alone.

I'm sure your job is heart breaking and difficult, but you are amazing at it."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"Due to restrictions of the covid 19 virus you are no longer able to go into the vets office. I could not hand my baby over in the parking lot. For Cody and myself I could not say good-bye that way. My vet recommended Dr. Brad.
From the time Dr. Brad entered my home I felt nothing but kindness and compassion from him. We discussed Cody's condition and he walked me through everything he would do and what Cody and I would experience.
In a difficult situation Dr. Brad brought peace and love.
He so gently took Cody from me and carefully laid him in the basket.
The next day he check-in on me and how I was doing."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"This is the second time we used Lap of Love to help our pets suffering. Both times the Vet was outstanding. We could not asked for a better experience. Our dog Mitch was in distress due to Boxer Cardiomyopathy and was suffering greatly. My wife Laura called Monday morning and within a few hours the Vet (I think his name was Brad but not sure) was at our home and eased Mitch's pain. He was very patient and kind.

Thank you so much for providing this service!

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Toni Knox"Dr. Toni Knox was wonderful as she cared for our pug babies, Levi and Lily, yesterday. Being brother and sister, we felt it was important for Levi and Lily to end their lives as they began, together. The gut wrenching decision for euthanasia does not come easily, and we struggled with it for months. Watching our babies decline and become more debilitated almost week by week, at now 14 1/2 years, we knew it was time. Having experienced euthanasia in an office setting with another dog some years ago, I left the experience was "sterile" and I wanted a different experience for Levi and Lily. I am so thankful that I called Lap of Love. From my first interaction over the phone with Lisa, to Dr. Toni entering our home, I was treated with kindness and understanding. Dr. Toni provided a peaceful and loving departure for Levi and Lily, and for that we will be forever grateful."Elaine LangMaple ShadeMarch 14, 2020

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"I can't begin to tell you how grateful we were to have Dr. Brad and the Lap of Loves's kind and compassionate services for our dog China. Let me begin by giving you a background on my baby girl. China was a full bred Bull Terrier feisty and loyal just as bull terriers are. She was the runt of the litter when we got her and the last to be taken away from her parents and honestly we almost passed on her. What a mistake that would have been. We brought her home to our male bull terrier Chino who was a year old at that time he needed a companion and so that's where it all began. 2 liters of pups -8 pups each liter she was such a good mommy and her pups were all healthy and beauties. Unfortunately my male passed at age 12 but China remained with us until 17. Yes she almost made her 17th birthday just shy a few days even Dr.Brad was amazed. She was so loyal to us that she held on with all she had but we began to see that her health was deteriorating fast. Blind weight loss and getting weaker everyday. In my heart I knew it was time but I couldn't bare to give up on her since she never did give up on us. The final days were heartbreaking and I made the call to Lap of Love that forever changed my outlook on making the decision to let her go.. I called and spoke to the staff who were so kind, compassionate and just amazing who assured me that they would be with us every step of the way. Dr Brad arrived at my house on a Sunday and got us through the most difficult day. The compassion that you all demonstrate to not just the animal but to the grieving families is so amazing. You all are angels and I'm forever indebted. Thank you Dr. Brad for being so patient and kind that day We appreciate you so much. Happy heavenly birthday China. We miss you. Give Chino a kiss for us. ❤️"Dana/ Jose GonzalezPhiladelphiaFebruary 19, 2020
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Melinda Glavin"Dr. Melinda was kind, loving, gentle and understanding from the time I spoke with her over the phone to the end of my Cameron's earthly life. It was a very stressful time for my family and Dr. Melinda left us with a sense of knowing that we made the right decision for our beloved Cameron as he was in too much pain and to have him suffering was simply inhumane. Lord knows I wanted to be selfish and keep him despite his suffering."Liana RoadcloudYeadonFebruary 18, 2020Cameron's Pet Memorial
