Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"This is the second time Dr. Brad has helped one of our pets pass over. He has a difficult job, but there can be no doubt of his dedication, kindness, and care for pets and their people. Twice now he has spared us the "final ride" to the vet and the upsetting and nervous wait with a scared pet in an exam room. Thanks to Dr. Brad, our Emily was able to pass in the privacy and comfort of her own home, surrounded by those who love her. The service provided by Lap of Love is a blessing and comfort during an otherwise awful time. We cannot thank you enough, Dr. Brad, you are truly a very special person."Diane Senft-McCluskeySwarthmoreAugust 7, 2020Emily's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Toni Knox"Our sweet Katie Scarlett O’Hara was the love our lives and although her health had started to diminish, we could not bear to let her go and asked her for a sign. When her first seizure came On Father’s Day, we knew we could never allow her to suffer needlessly. We turned to Lap of Love for the kind of atmosphere we wanted in ushering her from one life to the next. She suffered 2 more seizures and when it finally came time to say goodbye to our 17 year old lady baby, we knew it was time. It was the most difficult thing we’ve ever had to do, but Dr. Toni was there in a calm and loving way to help us and our beloved baby through it. I feel so grateful that one of the most painful moments in my life was also one of the most beautiful. Saying goodbye to a pet is saying good bye to a family member and my family and I thank Lap of Love and Dr. Toni for treating our Katie with such love and respect. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Toni Knox"Thank you dr. Toni Knox for your kindness and compassion with Giacomo and us last Wednesday. Such a hard decision but made a little easier by your care of Giaco and us. It must not be easy to do what you and your colleagues in the best of times but during this time of the pandemic and uncertainty, the support and kindness you provided was everything and as we continue to grieve our sweet boy we will remember that kindness and support."stephen MerrillPhiladelphiaJuly 25, 2020Giacomo's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"I don't have enough nice things to say. Our appointment was set for 3 PM but unfortunately, Isaac took such a drastic turn so quickly after 10 AM we called and asked if Dr. Brad could come ASAP. We were told he was on his way, 3 hours earlier than scheduled, but unfortunately Isaac could no longer wait and he passed 30 minutes before Dr. Brad could get to us. Dr. Brad thank you for rushing over as soon as you could, we appreciate it all the same. And thank you for your kind words and understanding during this time."AnnaMaria Levich-MoralesPhiladelphiaJuly 24, 2020Isaac's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"Dr. Brad,

Help with the passing of my 18yr old beagle. The folks at lap of love were caring, professional and did everything to ensure my beloved pet and I were comfortable. I was particularly concerned about the fact that I was mid-relocation and was concerned about my pet making the transition. I wasn't home when he passed, I was at my new location, however the plans in place that we had made this all while heart-wrenchingly sad, easier on everyone in the family. Also import as I was not home were the memorials they provided to remember him and handling of his ashes. I can't say enough great things. What a wonderful organization !"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"I had heard of lap Of Love from our Doctor, and another Friend, Our Muffin was 16 years old, with Liver cancer, she was failing, she had stopped eating, , her back legs were so weak, if we took her to our Vet, we wouldn't be allowed to be with her due to COVID 19 we made the arragements and Dr. Brad came, he was so gentle and Kind, explained everything he was doing, he made our Muffin comfortable, he did not rush this passing of our Baby, HE CARRIED HER OUT IN A LITTLE WICKER BASKET WITH A SOFT BLANKET. SUCH OVERWHELMING KINDNESS.

We know we did the right thing , we highly recommend Lap of Love, for when you are ready."
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"Dear Jessica, THANK you for your very kind understanding and caring help this morning. A very difficult morning it was for Floyd and me!
The day got ever so much better when Dr. Brad arrived, I had Floydie on my lap before that and told him how happy he had made my life, his eyes fixed on me
and he was purring, I was amazed at that, considering the pain he had been in, his purring was a gift to me! I so loved that sweet kitty.
Dr. Brad is such a kind gentle man, made for his kind of work indeed! His quiet manner calmed me totally from the time he arrived, fortunately my difficult tears
were gone then! It is a gift to hold one's pet at the end of time, those of us who are fortunate enough to have Lap of Love are given your gift of kindness 😍
The beautiful basket, blankets and calm handling when our loved pet is at peace is such a healing gift, I thank you Dr. Brad.

Your Kindness Will Never Be Forgotten,
Joy Crosbie"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lucy Astor"Dr. Lucy Astor was wonderfully compassionate when it was time to end our cat's suffering. It was such a comfort to us and to our dear kitty to be able to end things here at home, with the aid of an empathetic doctor. She took time to explain everything, answer any questions we had and made the process as easy and pain-free as possible, for us and for our cat. We all felt supported and cared for at every step and were given as much as time as we needed. Her kindness was greatly appreciated."Jodi BattershellPhiladelphiaJuly 18, 2020Kingsley Zissou's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Toni Knox"Dr. Toni was wonderful and helped to provide peace for the one of the most difficult days of my life, where I had to say goodbye to my best friend and favorite (don't tell my cats) child Stanley. I would highly recommend Lap of Love and Dr. Toni to anyone who has the ability to have their pet pass peacefully at home. Thank you, Dr. Toni. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"Dr. Brad came highly recommended so we made sure to request him when it was time to say goodbye to our best friend. While going through this experience was extremely painful, I’m so glad we chose Lap of Love and will recommend this service to other dog lovers. Dr. Brad was kind, gave us our space and explained everything so we would know what to expect. Our girl was able to eat her ice cream as she fell into a deep sleep. If you ask me, that is the best ending to her beautiful life. Thank you for your kindness, compassion and understanding during this very difficult time. The whole staff at Lap of Love truly cares and makes this challenging time just a little easier."Meg AmisSpringfieldJuly 3, 2020Lyla's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"Dr. Brad was able to come out very quickly to help us ease our cat of 16 years from his pain. He communicated with us about each step and gave us notice of his approximate arrival the day of our appointment. He asked us about Buca and allowed us to share some memories we had. He did not rush through the process at all and allowed breaks during difficult moments as well as private time at the end to say goodbye. Dr. Brad explained each step of the way and what was to be expected. I definitely recommend Dr. Brad and the staff at Lap of Love and commend them for doing such difficult but honorable and necessary work."Kelly QuirkMortonJune 17, 2020Buca's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lucy Astor"Dr. Lucy was wonderful! She was sweet, caring and understanding. Our Benny did not even bark, when she entered our house. He even let her pet him. She assured us that we were doing the right thing and explained what would eventually happen if we did not decide to let Benny go peacefully. We are grateful that we had someone so caring come to our home and help us to let our sick son become our angel!"Colleen BerryPhiladelphiaJune 11, 2020Benny's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"We had to say Goodbye to our sweet little girl on May20, 2020. Black Cat shared in our lives for 17 years (I sometimes thought that she felt she owned us). Justine was very patient with me on the phone as I attempted to tell her what was needed. Dr. Brad was very comforting and after examining our little Black Cat respectfully agreed with our decision. Dr. Brad did not rush us and explained everything before he did anything. He was very respectful. What an exceptional person to help us particularly at this time. Thank you does seem enough for what he did for us and Black Cat.
Black Cat is missed but I do believe she did not suffer before she passed and that is comforting."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"Dr Brad Bates was the most amazing veterinarian and is highly recommended. He was able to guide us throughout the entire process and remind us we were making the best decision possible for the health of Eddie. He made the worst day of our lives a bit easier and let us spend as much time as possible with Eddie before we had to say goodbye forever. We are forever grateful to Lap of Love and Dr. Brad Bates for helping us say goodbye to our little man and being there for us when we were unsure what to do."Allanah RichmanPlymouth MeetingMay 3, 2020Eddie Richman's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"We cannot say enough about Dr. Brad Bates. When we knew it was time to say goodbye to our sweet Callie who had given us nothing but pure joy for almost 17 years, we made arrangements with Lap of Love. However, the day before our scheduled date, it became apparent that we needed to proceed on a more urgent basis. Dr. Bates accommodated us within an hour and he could not have been more compassionate or professional. He explained the process thoroughly in a gentle manner, was sensitive to our overwhelming sadness, and treated Callie with respect the entire time. As a result of his kindness, we were able make sure our sweet little girl could go to sleep peacefully in her own home surrounded by all of us who loved her so much. We truly can’t thank him enough and will be forever grateful."Beth GallagherHaverfordMay 2, 2020
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"Dr. Brad was wonderful in such a sad moment. He explained all that he was going to do for Floyd. He was both respectful and professional. He let us have our time with Floyd before and after.

I would also like to thank Jessie, who I spoke to to make the appointment. She just like Dr Brad was both respectful and professional. Jessie took the time to answer my questions as well as let me have my crying moments on the phone as it was so terrible to make that phone call."
