Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sara Barlowe"TC (short for Terminally Cute) lived up to her name for twenty years right to the end. Dr. Sara was absolutely wonderful, kind, and compassionate in what has been the hardest thing for me to do in my entire life. Having to make the decision to say goodbye to a friend you've known for over two-thirds of your life, and to then also be able to do so in the home she knows and loves, on her favorite couch on her favorite blanket with her favorite people around her is the sort of blessing I can't begin to describe. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone to schedule the appointment was beautifully kind and gentle, and Dr. Sara even more so. I will always miss my Murr-Murr, but I got to be with her and comfort and support her in the way I wanted, and in a way that made her the most comfortable."Marisa SmithKing of PrussiaJuly 9, 2020
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sara Barlowe"So glad we chose Lap of Love to help our sweet boy, Sammy cross over the rainbow bridge. From our first contact with them to the final moments, their entire staff was so kind, sensitive, and caring with us and our beloved Sammy. And we can't say enough great things about Dr. Sara Barlowe. She was so sweet, gentle, and loving. She gave Sammy the most comfortable and peaceful final moments. We truly appreciated her thoughtfulness and delicate matter with us. I highly recommend Lap of Love to any pet parent that is looking to lay their beloved pet to rest with dignity and love."Sue SharrMalvernJuly 8, 2020
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sara Barlowe"It was an incredibly sad day when we had to put our dog and best buddy, Nemo, down. Sara made an incredibly tough situation as easy and seamless as possible. She had a terrific bedside manner, and took time to hear some stories and bond with us and Nemo before administering the shots. I regret the day that anyone reading this will need the service Lap of Love provides; it's an awful time to live through. But when that day comes, I cannot recommend Lap of Love and Sara enough."Matthew YurosSpring CityJuly 7, 2020

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sara Barlowe"Even though we had never met Dr. Sara before, she was immediately able to connect with us and Mocha, making the challenging situation of saying goodbye a very peaceful experience. Dr. Sara gave us plenty of time to talk with Mocha and comfort her, and when we were ready, she helped Mocha cross the rainbow bridge. The outdoor setting under a tree in our backyard in combination with Dr. Sara's understanding, skill, and compassion certainly has made the last week since Mocha's passing more bearable for our family. When the time comes for our other animals, we will not hesitate in requesting Dr. Sara's assistance to help make these last living moments with our pets just as special as all the ones throughout their lives."Ryan BairWest ChesterJune 28, 2020Mocha's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sara Barlowe"It turned out to be a remarkable process unmatched by what any trip to a vet’s office could possibly be under these circumstances. It was peaceful, loving and you didn’t rush us nor prolong the time we needed to say goodbye. It was as perfect as the moment could be and filled with very heartfelt memories. I can’t envision now having the passage of a beloved pet happen any other way.
Thank you for your professional and personal care and attention."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jessica Wilbourne"Dr. Jessica came to our house yesterday, June 26,2020 to help us send our beloved Max to heaven. She was the kindest, most compassionate, and understanding vet I have ever met. She took her time and explained everything. She made sure our 8 year old daughter was comfortable and ready for everything that was happening. She hid any needles and took attention away from what she was doing so our daughter wouldn't see. My daughter even said she was happy that Dr. Jessica was there that day. Dr. Jessica, we just really want to Thank You so much for the care you gave our Max and us. You made this horrible pain in our hearts bearable. He left us so peacefully and our daughter's first experience with death was better than I could have ever imagined because of you!"Irene WawrzynczakHuntingdon valleyJune 27, 2020
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jessica Wilbourne"Dr. Jessica was wonderful. My family has been through the loss of pets before and it's always really really hard. Going through this with my Daisy was 1000 times harder. She was just so special and such a huge part of our lives for so long. She was a family member, not a pet. I really didn't know how I was going to get through letting her go. Having this done at home was the best choice I could've made. Daisy was comfortable and felt safe. She went very peacefully. I was actually surprised by my own reaction. Yes it was devastatingly painful but when it was all over I felt peace that she was at peace. I don't know that I would've felt that in the vets office. I'm so grateful that Lap of Love provides this service, it makes a huge difference. Thank you Dr. Jessica for helping us through the most difficult day of our lives."Michelle, Chris & CJ KinslerHorshamJune 27, 2020Daisy's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sara Barlowe"I wanted to share a little about the positive experience I had the other day with Dr. Sara and Lap of Love. Dr. Sara was able to come to my apartment on such short notice. My cat Oliver's condition was worsening and I had originally scheduled an appointment for the following day. I knew I couldn't let him continue to suffer, so I called Lap of Love right when they opened at 7AM and within a few hours, Dr. Sara was at my apartment. She was the kindest and warmest person. She explained the entire process to me and let me do everything at my own pace. Oliver is such an anxious and scared cat, and he gets especially scared when someone new comes into my apartment. My biggest fear was that Oliver would leave this world with a look of fear in his eyes because a new person was in his space. Dr. Sara reassured me that Oliver would be comfortable and her warm, calm demeanor helped put us both at ease. Oliver died so peacefully and comfortably in my arms. I could not have imagined him leaving this world in a more perfect way. Dr. Sara gave me as much time to spend with him after the process was completed, then she brought in a basket with a blanket to take him. I elected for a private cremation and Dr. Sara assured me that she would look after Oliver in the next part of his journey. This was the most difficult decision I've had to make, but I felt so relieved afterwards because I knew he wasn't in pain anymore. Dr. Sara made this experience so special for me, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Thank you Lap of Love and Dr. Sara."Leah BayukArdmoreJune 25, 2020
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sara Barlowe"Sara was absolutely amazing . Very calm and with a warm heart and you can tell she cares . She was patient and kind. She took the time to come out to see us a day before our appointment to put our pup at rest. It was kind of a emergency at that time . She spoke to us and was not pushy at all. You can tell her heart is in the right spot with helping fur babies out

Its still hard for me to write much on our beautiful boy and I still wake up everyday wishing he was there to greet me but knowing he is not in pain and not suffering anymore calms the process of the " day in and day out" . Primo had Lymphoma cancer and was 6 years of age, 7 on the 26 of June"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sara Barlowe"We lost our wonderful dog Sydney on June 12, 2020. She was battling cancer for 6 months. We did everything we could for her, but the cancer took its toll even after chemo treatments. Our neighbor told us about Lap of Love, which we had never heard of before. I cannot tell you how great of a decision it was for us to have them come to our home! Dr. Sarah came in, we had Sydney on a patio sofa on our deck on a beautiful sunny day. Dr. Sarah was so Patient, kind and compassionate. Sydney was surrounded by her family and our other dog. She went peacefully and she was in the comfort of her own home. I want to tell anyone who is debating on what to do in these awful situations that Lap of Love is wonderful. They truly understand what you are going through and they give you all the time you need to grieve. Sydney was truly a part of our family, but knowing she got her wings on her own ground made all the difference in the world. Thanks again Lap Of Love!!"Robin PernaRoyersfordJune 19, 2020Sydney Bleu's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sara Barlowe"When the time came for our family to say goodbye to Sasha, we struggled with the decision to put her down. Sasha has been our pet for 14 years and it was difficult to know if we were making the right decision. We have three daughters and all five of us in the family had different feelings about it. Due to Covid 19, the vet that has taken care of our dog was not able to come to the house. I was uneasy about transporting Sasha to the vet because of her condition. I am so grateful that I contacted Lap of Love. Dr. Sara came directly to our house and was able to care for Sasha right in the home that she had spent her whole life. All of us were by Sasha’s side and that made the experience incredibly peaceful for all of us. Our youngest daughter was initially very uneasy about it and Dr. Sara did an incredible job patiently listening and explaining the process to us. Dr. Sara Barlowe’s professionalism, experience and true compassion for our pet was exactly what we needed. Thank you Lap of Love and Dr. Sara for helping us through a very challenging time. ❤️"Kate DeMutisPhoenixvilleJune 19, 2020
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sara Barlowe"We were so sad that day and crying so much. But I must say that Sara was so patient with us never rushing us that day with Mr. Darcy. She explained everything in detail to us. The day before she had called to confirm the appointment with me , and I told her that Mr. Darcy seemed to be doing better. She offered to cancel and reschedule which I thought was very thoughtful. But she explained that it is better for the pet and us to go ahead with the appointment because no doubt sooner than not, we could be caught in a difficult and emergency situation with our beloved pet. So I agreed that this was the best option for us. That day, Sara gave us a lock of his hair and a paw print and a nice little booklet with poems.
I would definitely refer anyone to use this organization for a beloved pet. It is much better for the pet to be in his familiar surrounds than to be in a vet hospital. She also sent me a bereavement card and that meant a lot to me as well.
So overall I would give high ratings for Lap of Love. I will use them again when the time comes for my little Chihuahua Pee Wee to leave us. God bless you. Thank you. Linda Etzel"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sara Barlowe"We were thrilled with the compassion and sensitivity exhibited by Dr. Sara Barlowe when she came to our home to help us say goodbye to our almost 17-yo dog, Hobo. She achieved the perfect balance between medical professional and compassionate caregiver during our short time together. Dr. Barlowe explained every step of the process as our family surrounded Hobo in his bed in the backyard during his final moments of life. We are extremely grateful that we were able to say goodbye at home."WynnewoodJune 17, 2020

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sara Barlowe"We had our precious girl Alex for just over nine amazing years. Through those years we watched her grow from an adorable little puppy with ears far too big for her head, to an athletic and eager to please adolescent, to a sister who really didn't want to be a sister but grew to begrudgingly accept it, to an adult who knew she was the queen of the house and let anyone or anything that got out of line know it! Our family fondly referred to her as a cat-dog - content to just be near you, to listen and obey commands for the tasty treats, and to come up and whine with ears back and a little tail wag when she was ready for her favorite - butt scratches. But she was our cat-dog, and we loved her for it and cherished each and every moment she was with us. It's hard to put into words the feeling of the hole that is left - it is an Alex sized a hole that can only be filled with her fluff and smell and the comfort of knowing that she was there even if off across the room. What helps is the knowledge that we had her for nine good years, including an incredibly active year and a half after her diagnosis with epithiolotropic lymphoma, and the gratitude for all of her vets and care takers - for Dr. Clifford and the incredible team at Hope Veterinary, for those who loved her and cared for her at her local vet even when she didn't love them back, including Dr. Barlowe, who Alex reminded that it was she that was in charge even at the very end. She was a feisty girl indeed, and there are no words to fully express our appreciation.

We love you and miss you sweet girl - rest in peace. And keep the squirrels out of wherever you are!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sara Barlowe"When it was time to say goodbye to our sweet boy Bane, we called on Lap of Love. Dr. Sara Barlowe came to our house to help us give him the peace and freedom he deserved. Dr. Sara was so kind, patient and compassionate with us. Her caring for our Bane was evident from the minute she saw him. Needless to say, the fur moms were a mess, but Dr.Sara talked us through the process, never rushing us. When the time came, our sweet little boy just went to sleep in my arms.
We can't say thank you enough to Dr. Sara, for the respect, kindness and compassion we were shown. We thank God for people like Dr. Sara, who have the love and strength to help families through times like these. From the phone call to the support team, (Ashley & Rebecca), to Dr. Sara's visit, Lap of Love made the most difficult time for us a loving and caring experience.
Dr. Sara, you will be forever in our hearts, Thank you.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sara Barlowe"We had to make that hard decision for our precious dog Buster. We called Lap of Love and Dr. Sara Barlowe came to the house to help us give him peace. She was so sweet. It's impossible for any loving animal parent to be calm during this time, but she was so comforting and didn't rush us in any way. I can't say enough about how wonderful she was. We could tell that Dr. Sara cared - she appeared to be affected by our grief herself. We will never forget Lap of Love and Dr. Sara for all their help in one of the most difficult times.

The office personnel where just the same, from the time I called Lap of Love I felt the compassion.

Thank you Lap of Love and Dr. Sara for helping us in this time of need."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sara Barlowe"We came to the very difficult decision to call Lap of Love after much deliberation for our 15 year old black Lab - Duke. Making the call was the most difficult decision but it was time as our dog was struggling with walking, incontinence, disorientation, and lack of movement (eating was NEVER a problem for this "beast" around food:)) and the best gift we could give to our most beloved pet. From the first call to the support team to the in home visit - this was a loving, kind, and supportive process with the entire staff of Lap of Love. Our in home vet was Dr. Sara Barlowe. From the minute she stepped out of the car and throughout the entire home visit she was a loving angel and agent of peace as our dog transitioned to what I like to think as of "greener pastures". Although, definitely one of the most difficult days of my life, I would 100% recommend both Lap of Love (have never heard of a bad and or poor review) and Dr. Sara to enter into your family and pet's home to assist in end of life care and decisions. Thanks to Dr. Sara and Lap of Love!
