Lap of Love Veterinarian: Suzanne Cosentino, DVM"We decided to use Lap of Love to say goodbye to our wonderful cat, Simon, in our home. Making the decision to say goodbye was one of the hardest things we have had to do but we could not have asked for a better person than Dr. Suzanne Cosentino to be there with us through the experience. She was professional and kept us informed of the process but did a great job relating to us and keeping the environment peaceful for Simon's last moments. She was genuine and kind. If you ever have the misfortune of needing her services, I highly recommend her."Katelen SchnellOverland Park, KansasJanuary 14, 2018

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Suzanne Cosentino, DVM"There are no words to express to you our feelings of gratitude for your compassion, understanding, and professionalism during one of the worst days of our lives. Hillary was much more than a pet, she was our furbaby.
You allowed us to peacefully put her to rest at home which made the process and the difficult decision which preceeded it seem so meaningful.
While we are still mourning the loss of Hillary, I wanted to let you know what a true gift you gave us letting her go at home rather than at the vet's office. You are truly a special person and we cannot thank you enough for the compassionate care you provided for us and our Hillary.
Thank you just doesn't seem enough.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Suzanne Cosentino, DVM"We said goodbye to our sweet girl today. Suzanne was so kind and compassionate. It was so incredibly hard but i couldnt have asked for a more peaceful experience for her or I. Lola went to sleep in my arms at home. There was no anxiety or pain. William (our other Shih tzu) got to say goodbye too. We will miss you dearly Lola. You were a member of the family and the best dog ever. You loved to cuddle, play and go on walks. I dont believe living life in a cone was a quality life for you. We tried everything we could to help you and make you comfortable, but nothing worked.
I know that Zoey will miss playing with you. She loved you.
Now you can run free in doggie heaven. There are no cones in heaven.😢😢😙😙❤️❤️"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Suzanne Cosentino, DVM"Thank goodness for Suzanne and all the folks at lap of love. I hope to both write a positive testimonial as well as catch the eye of those out there that may be struggling with the whirlwind of emotions. I've gone through the process before at the vet with individual dogs. That feeling of betrayal and having the past anxiety your dog time and time again from visiting the vet rewarded, with this last visit. This service removes all of those emotions and you have control over the whole visit at home. This time I had two dogs. A bounded pair of pugs. This service will give you additional tools to make your decision. However, ultimately, the decision will be yours to make. Maybe you are like me and have your dogs just age to a point where their bodies could not keep step with their spirit. Just know that when you do make you mind up, you have complete control with this service. For your pet its as if you are opening a door for your loved one to walk through. So at some point you have to do what’s best for YOU I say directly. I can't say your heart won’t be a mess. When we began the process, I felt my heart tearing down the middle so I choose to say my final good byes as my dogs slept next to me on the couch. I did not stay for the final and I think it saved me. Again you are free to make up your own itinerary, but what helped me keep it together during the visit was I wanted to be strong for Suzanne. She does this every day and did not see my dogs run so fast I could not catch them or jump on my bed and wake me up at all times of the night. Lastly, my next loved ones are out there waiting for me. I was so depressed after my first dog, it was months before I welcomed Zeus and Poseidon in my life. Later I regretted so much that I waited so long! This smooths out the circle of life such that we can get back out there and meet the future ones who are waiting to meet us!"Sam HillOverland Park, KansasNovember 6, 2017

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Suzanne Cosentino, DVM"Dr. Suzanne is a God-send to anyone facing the difficult decision to say goodbye to a pet. She is compassionate, professional, and caring. Dr. Suzanne was gentle in everything she did and said. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. "Thank you" does not begin to encompass everything she did for our family.

Also, Carrie was wonderful over the phone as well. She was patient and caring and talked me through everything the evening prior to Monday's passing."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Suzanne Cosentino, DVM"In a letter I wrote to Dr Suzanne, I told her that I was not sure she was human. It felt as if she had been a guardian angel watching over us for years, who came to us when it was time for Stewart to make his journey. I really felt like she had known us for years and really understood what we needed to get through this.
Her compassion and dedication to our family during this experience was unlike anything I had ever known.
The main thing we wanted was for him not to spend his last moments on earth in fear at a vets office, which traumatized him every time we went. I can't begin to put in to words how relieved and comforted we were by having Dr Suzanne help him with his journey here in the home he knew, surrounded by the people he loved and trusted and adored him endlessly. It was truly a beautiful goodbye. He was not afraid and never showed any signs of pain or discomfort. We are so grateful to have had her here to guide us all through such an emotional time. Thank you Dr Suzanne!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Suzanne Cosentino, DVM"Many thanks to Lap of Love. An hour after I submitted the form, I got a call from a wonderful woman named Donna...even though it was Thanksgiving night. She was caring, compassionate, and helped us make all the arrangements for the next morning. I then got a follow-up email from her.
Dr Suzanne Cosentino was incredible and helped us through every step Tucker passed peacefully, on our bed, with us and 2 tennis balls by his side. Suzanne really reassured us, and helped us through every step.
I am so thankful there is a place like Lap of Love."
