Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"Dr. Erin provided hospice for our dog for about 6 months. When it was time to say goodbye, Dr. Erin was very compassionate and made the day much easier for all of us. I would highly recommend Dr. Erin. Two of my friends have also used her services and agree, this is the most dignified way to say goodbye."Tracy Reynoldsalbuquerque, New MexicoJuly 7, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"Yesterday was one of the hardest days of our lives, but we will be forever grateful for the services provided by Dr. Erin Deveau. While we did not want to say goodbye, Dr. Erin helped us realize that we were making the right decision for our baby, Marley. We could not bear the though of stressing our cat out by taking her to a vet clinic for her final moments. She was peacefully laid to rest under her favorite tree in our backyard. We are eternally grateful for the kindness and compassion Dr. Erin and her assistant showed us during a very difficult time. I will not hesitate to recommend Lap of Love to others - what a wonderful organization. Thank you so much."Janel VogtAlbuquerque, New MexicoJune 13, 2017

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"After 10 days we are still lost without our Alaska Girl. In my sorrow I have totally forgot Dr. Erin and Lap of Loves wonderful care and thoughtfulness. From my first call to Lap of Love that I couldn't control my emotions to Dr. Erin coming to our home and understanding and caring of our emotions, my wife and I cannot express our thankfulness.

As hard as this was we knew it was time if you read my other testimonial for Alaska to go and we couldn't of asked for anything better or more from Dr. Erin, an absolute wonderful caring Lady, Vet. there should be more of Dr. Erin in this world.

They took care of our Girl and we now have her back home with us in a beautiful urn.

Thank you Dr. Erin, Lap of Love and for the life of me cannot remember the lady at the front desk who listened and had total compassion for me.

GOD Bless you all.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"Dr. Erin was so kind and understanding and took the time to get to know our family and our beloved dog, Keisha. She explained the disease that Keisha was afflicted with, so that we could make an informed decision to euthanize her. Having the doctor come to our home was such a blessing. We were all comfortable and Keisha was in a loving and calm environment during her last breaths. I highly recommend Dr. Deveau! She was caring, professional and followed up to make sure that the whole family was doing well and celebrating the life our dearly departed. She turned a very sad day into a day of calm reflection on a beautiful life of fond memories with our sweet dog, Keisha."Torie RobinsonRio Rancho, New MexicoMay 15, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"Our Mackey was almost seven when we adopted him from Animal Humane, so we were privilaged to have him with us for another eight years. We wanted to be certain his last journey from home was comfortable and stress-free, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our decision to engage Lap of Love. Dr. Erin was so caring, gentle, and expert in the handling the entire process. We felt assured all would be handled as we had decided, and we were not disappointed. The support was professional, personalized, and empathetic at every step and point of communication. Our boy left us surrounded by his family, in the comfort of his favorite bed, and transported with dignity. We highly recommend Dr. Erin and Lap of Love, and thank them for giving us support and peace of mind thoughout this process."Cynthia & Jeff SakamotoCorrales, New MexicoMay 7, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"On April 25, 2017, my best friend and little soulemate crossed the rainbow bridge with the help of Dr. Erin Deveau of Lap of Love. We called Dr. Deveau when we knew that my little boy's health was failing. He had degenerative Myelopathy and arthritis. he was 14.4 years old. Dr. Deveau came into our home and did a wonderful assessment of Finnegan, his food, his medications and made suggestions to assist in his mobility. Dr. Deveau focus was pain management and giving Finnegan more good days. We did have more good days and a few more walks. Finnegan's health declined quckly unfortunately and he lost use of his back legs and his right front paw. We made the decision that we could not ask him to go on. Dr. Deveau came into our home and wih tenderness and understanding help Finnegan cross the raibow bridge. Although my heart is still breaking, Dr. Deveau made his passing peaceful, with no anxiety and with love and respect. I could not have asked for more. While I miss our little boy, I know I did everything I could. Thank you Dr. Deveau you are an angel to help our little angel."Glory CochraneALBUQUERQUE, New MexicoApril 26, 2017Angelskye Finnegan's Dream's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"Dr. Erin, from Lap of Love was an angel to be here and assist with one of life's most difficult tasks. She soften the experience with her compassionate demeanor and for that I thank her for the loving way she made Oliver's passing a gentle and peaceful transition.
It's hard to imagine him not being physically here with me, but I know his spirit will always be by my side.
He was my "Big Red" the most gentle and loving companion I've ever known. I truly feel blessed and grateful to have had him for 12 years."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"I couldn't imagine any veterinarian selecting to focus their practice specifically on pet hospice/euthanasia (just because it would be so sad!), but after meeting Dr. Erin, it became quite clear that her compassionate spirit and calm demeanor are perfectly suited for the work she's chosen. She was incredibly thoughtful and kind, thoroughly explained the entire process, and was so gentle with my sweet little creature. I would highly recommend Dr. Erin to any family faced with saying goodbye to their beloved friends."Shawna CoryAlbuquerque, New MexicoApril 23, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"Tripod got to go out the way she lived her life, in her own home surrounded by people who loved her. I highly recommend at home euthanasia, time and resources permitting. Dr. Erin eased Tripod in shuffling off this mortal coil with grace & compassion, and with a patience for my 8 yo's questions that I couldn't muster in my grief (and I wouldn't have had the answer to a lot of the medical questions on my best day). My heartfelt thanks to Lap of Love and Dr. Erin."Albuquerque, New MexicoApril 16, 2017

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"After 15 years of the most fun, loving, relationship with our Roxy, a rescue from the Navajo reservation, we found ourselves facing this major and tough decision that most of you reading this will be making. We hiked, biked and roamed over 35 thousand miles from Boston to the BC Rockies and we know that kept her and us healthy for years. Her arthritis finally got the best of her and we knew it was time. Erin came to our home and immediately we felt calmed, comforted and cared for. Her spirit and energy was just what was needed to bless and grace our home. It was as if we were her only care the whole day. Roxy's passing was peaceful, beautiful and we know without a doubt the kind thing to do. I would recommend Erin and her team to anyone facing this dilemma.. She is a blessing and we honor her for the work she and her team do every day to give families peace and love..."sally ADAMSALBUQUERQUE, New MexicoApril 11, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"After sharing our home with Maxie for almost 15 years, making the decision to end her suffering was one of the most difficult decisions of my life. Dr. Erin was a true angel in assisting us through the process. She has the highest levels of knowledge, professionalism and compassion. She was not only able to perform the necessary tasks with a relaxing confidence but was also able to share her knowledge with us in a meaningful and calming way so as to make our transition as smooth as possible. I give her my dearest thanks and my highest recommendation to anyone else that is facing this terrible situation."Chris BarryRio Rancho, New MexicoApril 4, 2017

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"Dr. Erin was really terrific. Letting poor Maggie go was and still is very difficult but our family could not think of a more perfect and thoughtful way for it to happen. Dr. Erin was so sincerely thoughtful, kind, and caring. She made the whole experience special and memorable in the right way. Maggie was in the comfort of her own home surrounded by those who love her and passed peacefully and comfortably. I am very grateful for Dr. Erin, and for Lap of Love. Their support made a huge difference to our family in this tough time.

Thank you, and with love to all pet lovers,

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"Dr. Erin helped our sweet black lab, Duchess, across the Rainbow Bridge last week. She used many extra touches that helped make this transition compassionate and gentle. She established rapport with Duchess and with us, and there was not even a twitch of anxiety. When our dear dog fell quietly to sleep, she gently wrapped her in a cozy blanket and tucked her dear paws in. She treated our dog with dignity and respect from beginning to end. Duchess definitely made pawprints on our hearts, and Dr. Erin helped us with her passing as much as she helped our dear dog. We highly recommend her service."Marguerite & Ed GarciaBernalillo, New MexicoMarch 27, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"Dr. Erin was wonderful. Paako was a member of our family for nearly 13 years. We couldn't bare the thought of losing him, even though his physical condition had deteriorated to the point that he could hardly move around. Dr. Erin immediately made us feel comfortable with our decion-making process. She was knowledgeable, compassionate and patient. She made our final moments with Paako manageable. We highly recommend Lapoflove to anyone faced with losing a furry friend. Thank you Dr. Erin."Vincent WardAlbuquerque, New MexicoMarch 23, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"Making the decision to euthanize Bob was difficult…and for our family as a whole—the biggest loss in our household to date. We each recognized it was the right decision at the right time….even though there really isn’t a ‘right’ time for such a hard decision. All of us had been preparing ourselves for the loss of Bob for a while since he was a big breed and approaching 14 years of age.
We took him to the Vet a couple weeks earlier and although he had some issues, and we knew he was starting to deteriorate—we didn’t realize how quickly we would actually have to say goodbye to our old boy. Thursday night was a hard night for Bob as he struggled to breathe and he seemed extremely restless. Paige stayed up with him and let me know very early on Friday morning it was time to schedule Bob’s departure.
It is unfortunate so many of our decisions have to be based on money…do we have it or don’t we? We always knew we wanted Bob to be at home with us and Annie as he passed, and we always knew we wanted Bob’s individual cremains to be brought back home to us. We also knew---- regardless of the cost----we would find a way to honor Bob the way we wanted and the way he deserved. It was worth every
Thanks to Lap of Love and especially Dr. Erin, (abq@lapoflove.com) we were able to experience the most humane and peaceful way to say goodbye to our beloved Bob. Both Bob and Annie were immediately at ease when Dr. Erin walked into our home. It was like they both could sense her purpose—and knew she could be trusted. What a gift.
Bob was able to eat his most favorite snack—chocolate chips as Dr. Erin gave him a sedative to completely put Bob to sleep. As Bob found his place to lie down in the kitchen, close to the back door, we all gathered around him to say our final goodbyes. The heartache was/is tremendous—but we should all be so lucky to pass in such a loving and peaceful environment."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"I found my sweet boy in August of 2009. My husband said I could get a little dog, no bigger than 20 pounds. He came into his new family at 100 pounds and grew to about 200 pounds. Helping him leave this world was going to be a large task. Thankfully, I found Dr. Erin Deveau, and "Lap of Love". Putting our furry children to sleep is the hardest thing in the world to do. Dr. Erin could not have been kinder, and made this task a bit easier. My sweet boy "Fatty", was so at ease having this done in his home surrounded by his family. I wish I had found this service for my other furry babies. After it was over, the wonderful people at "Best Friends" came and took my baby for cremation. Being that I will never be without furry kids, I will continue to use "Lap of Love". Thank you for offering this type of service, and for understanding that those of us that have animals truly believe they are one of our children, and should be treated as such. The photo of him is the first day that he came to his new mommy and daddy. He always thought he was a lap dog, don't they all."Denise ChristieAlbuquerque, New MexicoFebruary 12, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"Erin Deveau was so amazing, we was/and still are heart broken over our sweet Ginger. Erin came to our home and explained everything to us with compassion. She did not hurry us on our goodbye to our sweet baby. We cried during and are still crying for our little girl. We feel so blessed to have Erin Deveau/Lap of Love to help our sweet Ginger cross over to the Rainbow Bridge.
Thank You May God Bless You
