Lap of Love Veterinarian: Beth Meadow, DVM"Dr. Beth was truly a god send to our family! She was incredibly patient and loving to our fur baby and so mindful of our immense sorrow. She consoled all of us. She answered all of our questions and alleviated some of our concerns. Harley was laying on his soft bed and enjoying the treats Dr. Beth provided for him just prior to falling into a very peaceful "forever" sleep. Lap of love and Dr. Beth provided an invaluable service to our family throughout this extremely difficult time. She even sent us a follow up email to see how we were doing. We cannot ever express our gratitude to her!"Michele ChildsLeesburg, VirginiaJanuary 9, 2018Harley's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Beth Meadow, DVM"I can not thank Lap of Love for helping our fur baby go into the light. It was such a hard thing to go through. It really helped that our vet Beth Meadow was so compassionate. She let us take our time. It was very emotional and I felt completely at ease with Beth. She is truly an angel on earth."Jackie TerrySterling, VirginiaJanuary 7, 2018Snoopy Terry's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Stephanie Henderson, DVM"Anyone that has had animals know that they're more than just "pets", they're family.
My bf and I said goodbye to our sweet kitty Sky today as she went over the rainbow bridge.
For myself the hardest part to deal with is coming to the realization that we are saying goodbye.
This morning I called Camila to schedule a doctor to come do an in-home euthanasia for Sky, I was falling apart as I was speaking with Camila and she was so patient and so empathetic towards me during our whole phone conversation.
We eventually had an appointment set up for the evening for Dr. Stephanie to come by and carry out the euthanasia for Sky.
Unfortunately, Sky passed away early in the afternoon before Dr. Stephanie could move forward, hence I had to call back and speak with Camila again letting her know the news.
Camila was yet again so empathetic and so calming I was able to make peace with my baby being in heaven.
Without making this testimonial too lengthy, I wanted to thank Camila for her superior customer service. She spoke to me as if I was her friend rather than a potential client.
I have my own business so customer service is something I strive for and I couldn't have been more blessed to have spoken to someone who embodies just that, she was warm, calm, and very caring and attentive in our convo.
Gracias Camila, you are the best!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Stephanie Henderson, DVM"Bingo was diagnosed with lung cancer on 17 Oct. His Internal Medicine vetinarian painted a bleak picture of what the next few weeks would be. I could never let it get that bad. Instead, Dr Stephanie Henderson ensured his passage to the other side before his pain turned to agony and his vital organs ceased to function properly. He died with dignity peacefully at home, on my lap, surrounded by love.

I was such an emotional wreck following his diagnosis but the entire Lap of Love team was compassionate and understanding. Dr Stephanie met Bingo and fed him his favorite treats two days before his departure, which was important to me. Although normally shy, he took to her right away and even let her pet him. The day of, her professionalism gave me strength but above all - she was fantastic to him. She pet him, spoke softly to him, and treated him with love and respect."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Nora Glaser, DVM"Lap of Love was unbelievably supportive. I highly recommend that you use Lap of Love, if you can. We weren't sure if putting Bonita down was the best option, so Dr. Nora came as a consultation. After learning about what Bonita was struggling with, we knew it was time. Bonita's passing was so peaceful. Having someone to guide us through it without feeling rushed or in a sterile setting made all the difference. We've had to put other dogs down at the vet's office, which brought us many sad memories of their last few minutes. Having her at home surrounded by her favorite things (and people!) was the best send off we could give her."Meggan MaddenWashington, District of Columbia (DC)October 22, 2017Bonita's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Stephanie Henderson, DVM"Dr. Stephanie was incredibly kind, compassionate and professional and helped us help our Toby away from the final stages of cancer. There was no hurry, no next patient to get to, no driving him to the vet and having to wait our turn in a public waiting room. Toby was resting quietly on his couch with us near him for his last moments. We should all be so lucky."Caitlin HartfordArlington, VirginiaOctober 9, 2017Toby's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Beth Meadow, DVM"Our rescue collie held a special place in our hearts and home. He was friends to many of the children who lived nearby who would come by to visit our "Lion King" as they called him. As the pain increased, so did the meds but when it became time we were beside ourselves then called Lap of Love. Nora came out, did an evaluation and was so caring and professional, we knew we made the right call. Of all days when it was time, Nora was off but I think every person who works there is amazing and it was proven by Beth when she came to our home. Our boy had blessed our lives for so many years and in these final quiet moments he was surrounded by what he knew and was at peace. While our home and hearts feel empty we are so happy with the dignity and compassion that was shown our boy. A heartfelt thank you to all at Lap of Love."Melanie BowenAshburn, VirginiaOctober 4, 2017

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Nora Glaser, DVM"Dr. Nora was so kind and understanding. I needed to know the timing was right and with understanding and compassion she told me what I needed to know to make the decision and assured me she would not proceed if she did not believe it was the right time. She wasn't rushed and so very kind to Tuffie. I thank her from my heart for helping to make a very difficult and painful decision about my sweet Tuffie not quit so hard. Doing this at home was the absolute best decision for me and more importantly for Tuffie. Thank you, Dr. Nora."Lee MoodyOld Town Alexandria, VirginiaSeptember 13, 2017Tuffie's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Nora Glaser, DVM"My special Molly(chocolate lab) was in my life for a long time. She seemed like she was old for ten years. When I said goodbye it seemed like she was such a big part of me. I knew in my heart that the time was getting close in February 2017. Molly needed assistance to move in most ways. Vet records stated that she was 18 years old and for a lab that seemed tremendous. She had a beautiful, long, eventful and loving life. She was still able to swim once a week for the last year of her life. On her last day she was able to swim one last time. Nora was so gentle and patient while we sat with her and held her. She was with the people she loved and she didn't have to go through the stresses of trying to walk again. Nora gave us all the time we needed and made the whole process filled with love for Molly. I do believe she loved me to much to leave me and that why she stayed so long. I found Molly wondering alone on a country road on my birthday. I always considered her a birthday present. I think someone had dumped her after she had puppies for them. This is for you Molly and I will always love you and miss you."Marion EarnestArlington, VirginiaAugust 19, 2017

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Beth Meadow, DVM"Such an amazing and compassionate company. From the moment, I called they guided me through the process with such gentleness and kindness. They understand the pain of owners and support you in every way possible.

Dr. Meadow was such a gentle soul, her presence comforted us and she facilitated my cats transition with utmost respect and gentleness.

I am so glad that I found you to allow my angel to leave this planet in the comfort of her home surrounded by her sounds, smell and kindness of people."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Nora Glaser, DVM"When it was time to let our sweet 14 year old Lulu go, we made arrangements with Dr. Glaser for a home visit euthanasia. Lulu being deaf, and a bit high strung, she hated to be restrained. Dr. Glaser was warm and kind, and allowed time for the event to unfold. Lulu went peacefully, in the arms of those who loved her. We are grateful to Dr. Glaser for her service, but most of all her kindness and compassion."Noriko BellWashington, District of Columbia (DC)August 13, 2017

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christine Shibly, DVM"Dr. Christine was wonderfully compassionate. In comfortable surroundings, Ripley passed peacefully in her “happy place” – on my lap on her favorite blanket. Dr. Christine encouraged us to allow our other kitty, Newt, to be there as well. Newt usually hides around strangers, but she must have known that Dr. Christine was a good person, because she came out and we were all with Ripley to comfort her in her final moments. These decisions will always be heart wrenching, but the comfort of home is always best. Thank you, thank you, thank you. What you do makes these moments a little easier."Debra DuffinReston, VirginiaAugust 6, 2017Ripley's Pet Memorial
