Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
12/7/2003 - 11/6/2019Today is the saddest day of my life, so far. Today, my beloved best friend, Holly took her last breath. Today, I gave you your last kiss goodnight.
This was the hardest thing, by far that I’ve had to do. I am truly heartbroken. I’m lost without you Holly. I feel as though a part of me is literally missing.
To anyone who says, it’s a pet, it’s a dog, I say, shame on you. Holly was a family member. She loved me unconditionally, and I her.
For just shy of 16 years, you were my constant companion. My beloved friend, and my furry baby. You could always make me smile, bring me joy, and comfort, and make me feel loved, when I needed it. I hope I did these things for you too . I’d do anything for you.
“I’ll love you forever.
I’ll like you for always.
As long as I live,
My baby you’ll be .”
I miss you Holly, with all the pieces of my heart.

1/10/2011 - 11/7/2019Zoey, you were the most loyal dog we ever had. You were by our sides every waking hour of the day. Our house is so empty without you. The past 9 months have been difficult helping you through your battle with mast cell cancer. We wish to thank Dr. Amy for helping you pass to the other side peacefully and ending your suffering. We need to focus on the good days we had together taking long walks, sharing takeout dinners (especially grilled nuggets and french fries), popcorn on movie night, sitting outside by the fire until late after midnight, playing ball or tug of war with your buddy Zac, smiling when we returned home, loving every member of the family (especially the grandkids), and looking for treats every night at 8 p.m. You kept our family safe. We were never worried about intruders getting past you. Thank you for being the best dog ever. You will live forever in our hearts. We love you Zoey.Joan SchafferEaston, PennsylvaniaNovember 10, 2019
3/30/2006 - 10/30/2019Frankie, you changed my life forever. You loved unconditionally and inspired me to be better. I will forever be grateful for your companionship and love. I will always wish that I had more time with you. Your brave face through the fight of cancer inspired all the humans around you. We all miss you everyday. Although I have tears of sorrow and grief, I know you are free now. Your memory will live forever in my heart and mind.Bobbi BurnsFremont, CaliforniaNovember 9, 2019
9/3/2004 - 11/8/2019Scout was part of our family for 15 years. I feel like I learned to be a grownup with her. She gave our family limitless love and I will miss her forever.Sara BurkeGainesville, FloridaNovember 9, 2019
8/3/2004 - 11/5/2019Arlo joined our family when my youngest daughter was 2 yrs. old and my oldest daughter was 10. My oldest daughter was born with multiple disabilities, and finding a pup with the right temperament was extremely important. Arlo took to being our family dog very naturally. She was lovingly protective of the girls. When Sophia would run out of sight at the park, Arlo would whimper, come nudge my leg with her nose, then take off in pursuit of Sophia. With one child in a wheelchair, it always felt safer to have Arlo along for outings with us. I used to run the city streets early in the morning, and Arlo always came along. Once at 5 am, while it was still dark, a car came up behind me slowly and I became very frightened. Arlo spun around barking so fiercely while lunging at the car. The car sped off, and I was so grateful that I had her with me.

Arlo was my first dog. I never experienced the emotional connection that you can have with a dog. She seemed to always know what my mood was, and how she could best support me. If I came from work happy she would greet me jumping and wagging. If I had a hard day and was feeling crumby, she was greet me gently with a drooping head, as if to say.. 'it seems like you had a hard day...lets just snuggle on the bed for a bit'

I know letting her go was the right thing to do, but I miss her so much. I didn't even know it was possible to miss wiping urine up off the floor multiple times a day:)

Rest in peace our sweet Arlo.

Thank you for everything you brought to our lives.

5/20/2007 - 11/6/2019Oh Vega, I’m going to miss you so much. You were my best friend, my travel buddy, my nap buddy, sous chef, roomba, guard dog, and most importantly a family member. I got to grow up with you during the beginning of my adulthood and you were right next to me at all times moving from house to house, from city to another city, you were always there to comfort me from the unknown. Your unconditional love and dedication helped shape me to become the person I am. You saw me get married and meet my baby Nora. I already knew I didn’t have to worry about you around her because you were the sweetest dog ever and loved everybody. Watching you interact with Nora made my soul complete. I’m sad that Nora will not be able to remember you, but I made sure to take a lot of pictures and will always share the wonderful and funny stories I will never forget. When I show a picture of you to her now, she always giggles and smiles and says bubba. You brightened her days when she was sick. You had that ability to make people smile and laugh at your silliness.Sheila ShinnBoynton Beach, FloridaNovember 9, 2019
5/5/2004 - 11/6/2019Oh my sweet Leeloo, I miss you SO so much. You were my constant companion for most of my adult life. From heartaches and homework to marriage and moving, you were always by my side with your raspy meow and constant purr. I will desperately miss our morning routine of back rubs and face scratches and hanging out while I drank coffee and did yoga. I will desperately miss you sitting by my side, always. Usually with one paw on me. Whether it was watching TV, working from home, or just chilling out on the bed, you were always next to me. I'll miss "kitty alarm clock" and how you boldly meowed at the top of your lungs when it was time for bed or time to wake up. I'll miss you pawing at my head for pets and loves. I'll miss making the bed and having you run under the sheets. I'll miss chasing you around the house, yelling "kitten play time!" (that was your favorite game ever). I'll miss you stomping on your Daddy's pillow when he was on a work trip. I'll miss your sweet, soft purr. I'll miss talking to you and how you would perfectly respond to all of my questions. I'll miss pointing out your knees to you. I'll miss burying my face in your extremely soft fur. I'll miss giving you more kisses than you wanted. I'll miss holding you upside down like a baby and how much you complained even though you secretly loved it. I miss you so much my love. I will see you again, and you can be by my side forever. <3 <3 Love you baby girl.Rachael SassSan Jose, CaliforniaNovember 9, 2019
6/2/2002 - 11/7/2019Maxx was a very social and loyal cat. She would lay on your lap for hours and sleep with you at night. When I would come home from work she would be waiting. She was truly a gift.Shelby BorchersDayton, OhioNovember 9, 2019
3/20/2004 - 11/6/2019Tootie was our more than beloved son for over half our marriage. We were honored to become his parents when he was only 6 weeks old and broken when we lost him on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at the age of 15 1/2.
Being in our house without Tootie's every loving presence is unbearable and yet we have three other pups that need momma and daddy too.
Tootie was the last of our "Original Seven" pups. From there we went up to 11 at our highest rescue number at one time and Tootie just always went with the flow - nothing upset him he just rolled with it. He taught them the routine by example and let everyone know that he was the boss.
For the last 2 years Tootie was with me h24/7 and his presence is missing all around me. Everywhere I go in our house is haunted my Tootie and all that have gone before him. Even trying to be outside - the backyard is missing his old man bark.
Words cannot express our anguish over losing Tootie and the love now gone from our lives.
Play, run and keep those pups in line for me Tootie - I'll see you again one day soon and I can't wait!
