Rocky
10/19/2001 - 8/11/2014Today we said goodbye to our dearest Rocky. He was such a fixture in our household, and our hearts are breaking at his passing. Life will be a little colder without him around, but the little guy will live forever in our hearts.Steve GrayMechanicsburg, PennsylvaniaAugust 12, 2014

Crumpet
6/28/2000 - 8/10/2014Crumpet was diagnosed with late stage renal failure after a month of issues and a visit to the vet yesterday .... Had to make the hard decision for an in home end of life visit by Dr. Jennifer of Lap of Love. So glad there are vets that specialize in this process. Great passage on Dr. Jennifer's website: "Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." - Anatole France.Michelle LeClercSaint Augustine, FloridaAugust 11, 2014
Murray
2/12/2000 - 8/7/2014My heart is heavy with grief as we say goodbye to my sweet Murray. He was the most loyal, laid back, sweet and funny companion. He was loved greatly by his mommy, dog sister, lots of family and shared the last five years of his life with a little boy. Murrdog will be missed forever, as he will always be in our hearts.Meredith RobertsWILDWOOD, MissouriAugust 11, 2014
P Nutt
2/13/2006 - 8/10/2014Mr. Puppyupolis Nutt crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday. A bad infection and lymphedema from his recent surgery to remove a second mast cell tumor two weeks ago was causing him great pain and he let us know that it was time to say goodbye. He passed quietly at home, in his daddies' arms, assisted by Dr. Brad Bates of Lap of Love . Special thanks to his Uncle Martin and Aunt Beth Cooper who came to spend the afternoon with him. A true food hound until the end, he had three good meals yesterday plus plenty of treats and managed to get himself up and wagged his tail ferociously to greet everyone, even the vet.
The house is quiet and seems a little empty without him, but Nuttster will always hold a very special place in our hearts. Run free brave boy.

Onyx
10/31/1991 - 8/7/2014"ONYX"
[October 1991 - August 2014]

If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain does keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done
for this - the last battle -can't be won.

You will be sad I understand
But don't let grief then stay your hand.
For on this day, more than the rest
Your love and friendship must stand the test.

We have had so many happy years,
You wouldn't want me to suffer so.
When the time comes, please, let me go.

Take me to where my needs they'll tend,
Only, stay with me till the end.
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.

I know in time you will agree
It is a kindness you do to me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.

Don't grieve that it must now be you
Who has to decide this thing to do.
We've been so close - we two -all these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.

Little Cat
I said goodbye to you today, little cat.
Fingers caught on bones when I stroked your fur.
You could scarcely raise your head to drink,
yet still you calmed me with your purr.

Were you comfortable curled on the rug?
And did you know your time drew near?
Your wide green eyes held gentle love,
and quiet pain, but showed no fear.

You slipped away so quietly
that we weren't sure that you were gone.
Our bouncy little cat is stilled
but your spirit lingers on.

Little cat, where are you?
Are you happy, are you strong?
I feel your warmth, your life, your love
and still can hear your purring song.

Rocky
4/24/2002 - 8/8/2014We sent our sweet little Rocky to puppy dog heaven last night around 8:20pm and Greg laid him to rest in his favorite spot by the pool this morning. Even though he hardly ever barked, the house seems so much quieter now. I woke up this morning expecting to let him outside. I miss him so much already. Please see the About Rocky tab.Sharon McKeeBryant, ArkansasAugust 10, 2014
