Skinny Pete Elmwood

Sweetest baby boy, you changed my life forever with your bright spirit and playful mischievousness. You brought so much love to me at a time when I most needed it. I remember driving home from the pound with you riding shotgun, looking up at me, and probably wondering what was going on. Then you ran away and I took Jesse in, thinking he was you. We became a little family, and I can't thank you enough for everything you were. I know it was your time to go, and I hope you're sitting up in PawPaw's lap getting forever pets. I'm so glad I was able to give you a joyful, long life, and, as hard as it was, I'm glad I was able to help you go peacefully. You were my first baby boy, and I will love and remember you forever.

Ginger

My sweet Ginger, taking in your quiet strength was a privilege I will hold for the rest of my life. Thank you for choosing to trust, to love, and to find your voice after everything you went through. You brought so much light into my world, and though I miss my sidekick every day, I am endlessly grateful for every moment we had together.

Cream

I miss your reassuring presence. Our pajama party nights in the downstairs guest room, when you could no longer climb the stairs, were so special. We are all blessed to have shared our lives with you these past 18 years. Rest in peace my dear friend.

Binkin

The last bell. I lowered my forehead to his forehead and wept. Not because I believed he was gone. Because I loved the form through which love had found me.
