10/7/2015Three years ago, I decided to rescue a dog... I found this big black lab all the way up in St. Augustine ... it was a come save him now situation.

So I did ... rented an SUV and drove 11 hours round trip, all because a dog needed to be saved.

He came to me broken, in need of good food, a good home, and lots of love.

But I saw beneath all of the hurt, he was a good boy worth saving ... and save him I did ... and in turn, he saved a few family members.

Took a while, as Boze didn't trust men, but over the last year, I managed to win his heart, as he stole mine.

Today, Boze and I came to end of his journey. His neuropathy and lar-par got the worst of him. And as I was taught, dog's don't know death, only suffering.

So I gave him some treats, got down on the floor, loved and petted him, and kissed him good bye.

2/28/2007 - 10/5/2015Wally was such a special little man. His spot on our bed cold and empty without him there all curled up. I will miss his cuddles and kisses more than I can express. I hope he's enjoying a spending time with his sister, Montana, on a comfy human sized bed with lots of pillows on the other side of the rainbow bridge.Sarah SteinBryn Mawr, PennsylvaniaOctober 8, 2015
5/4/2009 - 10/6/2015Andy - When I came downstairs this morning you were not there to greet me and that makes this painfully real but I know that now you are free> The sun will always be shining, the window will always be open and the birds will always right outside. You were my first baby, you taught me love and patience, and you will be forever in my heart.Meghan CrossmanJersey City, New JerseyOctober 8, 2015
10/1/1998 - 10/6/2015In memory of our beloved Bones who was our first baby and will always be a cherished member of our little family. He was a kind and gentle soul, always sweet and loving to his human sister and feline and canine brother and sister. We have many great memories of him and we take comfort in the many years he was a part of our family. Until we meet again my sweet boy.Gina BongiovanniLutz, FloridaOctober 7, 2015

2/9/2003 - 10/5/2015On Monday, our beloved German Shepherd Molly crossed the Rainbow Bridge. It was truly a blessing she was able to make that journey peacefully in her favorite spot in the backyard, surrounded by her family. Especially for her doggie sister of twelve and a half years, Smooch the pooch to be there too. She was such a wonderful part of our family and will be dearly missed.Jeanie RowanPembroke Pines, FloridaOctober 7, 2015

4/1/2000 - 10/3/2015Yesterday, we said good-bye to our beloved dog, Molly. She was a rescue dog who came to us as an active puppy and quickly became a part of our family. Molly brought adventure to our lives and from that time on, no two days were ever the same...and definitely never dull. I always called her "my pretty puppy", even as advancing years slowed her step and affected her hearing. Finally, her body was just too tired to continue and her pain was so great that she resisted our efforts to help her stand. I will miss Molly greatly...her big, brown eyes....her desire to always be near us even when her tired body found it hard to move from room to room...but her memory will always be with me...and I know she runs now without pain.Ninevah MurrayGreensboro, North CarolinaOctober 5, 2015
