Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
3/30/2014Sunbeams strain to warm absent aches.
Pillows fluff to no comfort.

Pauses wait at doors for absent passersby.
Corners sit idle of occupants.

Shadows leave without casting.
Silence descends unbroken.

Strangers approach unheralded.
Friends depart ungreeted.

Sofas sigh at emptiness.
Rugs remain unrumpled.

Rattling pans incite disinterest
Bones lie bereft of biting.

Postboxes slip silently closed and wonder at the lack of barking.

1/31/1999 - 1/30/2014Duncan was the love of our life. He was like a ray of sunshine in our family every day for 15 years! We'll never stop missing him.Mary RankinBuffalo, New YorkMay 1, 2014
9/1/2001 - 4/24/2014Grayson was so special to me. He was there for me through the most difficult times in my life to comfort me and give me that unconditional love we all search for during troubled times. It was painfully hard to let him go but even harder to continue to watch him suffer. Grayson will be dearly missed but it does bring me some peace knowing that he is healthy and happy now and we will be reunited again one day!Kristen HayesCharlotte, North CarolinaMay 1, 2014
4/24/2014Baxter was a loving gentle soul. He loved hiking, wineries, happy hours, and RVing.
He was a huge part of our lives. We lost him to Cushings disease and neurological spinal pain. He was a trooper until the end.

Otto Monaco
1/25/2001 - 4/24/2014Otto was diagnosed with bladder cancer in Oct 2013. We had 6 more months with him until the decision was made to end his pain. He was our baby. We adopted him when he was a couple of months old. He is our family. He's seen us through births, deaths, loves, losses, holidays, moves, weddings, etc. Otto is our miracle and our angel. We miss him dearly and he is forever in our hearts. I hope to see him one day in heaven.Victoria LopezMonroe Township, New JerseyApril 29, 2014

Sirius Black Whitmoyer
10/25/2003 - 4/26/2014Sirius was the gentlest, most loving dog a family could ever ask for. His life was far too short, even for a dog. He battled so many illnesses and ailments in his 10 years of life, but remained always sweet and happy. We will forever be grateful to have shared 10 years, 4 months and one day with him, and although we know he has moved on to a better place, our lives will never be the same without him. We will love him and miss him forever. Until we meet again, rest peacefully, feel well, and run and play.Victoria WhitmoyerReading, PennsylvaniaApril 27, 2014
5/19/1998 - 4/25/2014In loving memory of a handsome old boy named Merlin He was a 16 year old Border Collie who became a part of his family as a young puppy... they went to pick a puppy, thinking they would get a female, but Merlin was the only one that was left, and he seemed just perfect for them! The many years they spent together proved that to be true - Merlin was a beloved member of his family

As a young dog, Merlin loved to herd everything! He tried to herd kids on bikes, girl scouts, boy scouts, pretty much anything that ran around! He also loved chasing animals who dared to venture into his yard... as he got older, he couldn't see them as well, but he could still smell them and would RUN through the yard after them - often in the wrong direction, but he didn't seem to care! When Merlin was younger, he also loved playing ball... he would run up and down the deck stairs as many times as his family would throw the ball for him, never seeming to be tired! He also loved playing games with his Dad as he mowed the yard - Merlin would lay at the top of the hill, hold the ball till Dad and the mower were in the perfect spot... then he would let the ball go so that it rolled right into the path of the lawn mower! What a fun-loving stinker Merlin was!
Merlin lived a wonderful life, but at the age of 16 his body was failing him... he couldn't see well and his legs wouldn't carry him well anymore. His family did everything they could to care for his needs, and it was obvious that Merlin had the best of care. But eventually, even wonderful nursing care just wasn't enough. They knew their sweet boy wasn't enjoying his days anymore and they didn't want him to suffer. So, everyone who could be in town gathered to bid Merlin farewell. He also had family out of town who was remembering him with love today... Merlin lived a wonderful life and he will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him most
