Rusty
8/17/2006 - 8/31/2015As I come to the year's anniversary of Rusty leaving, It feels just as raw, and I miss him with all my heart. He was a long-haired German Shepherd, weighing 55 kilos, and he never hurt a fly all his precious life.Tony AshfordNottingham, AlabamaAugust 14, 2015
Joi
7/7/1998 - 8/7/2015A week ago today we said good-bye to our dear, Joi. She came into my husband's life 17-years ago. When he brought her home he did not have any food, toys, litter box but she did not care, she was happy to have a home and just purred. My husband said she was such a happy kitten and gave her the name Joi. She lived up to that name . In the beginning it was just the two of them. Joi was my husbands shadow (until the end), where he was there was Joi. Once we were married and I moved in, I started working from home. Joi quickly became my office-manager. She let me know when it was time for lunch, time for an afternoon snack and time to log-off and call it a day. She was a big sister to our daughter and taught her how to pet (not grab) a cat, she was very patient with our daughter and never snapped at her.
Joi was a very social cat. Where ever the family gathered, there was Joi. Whether it be movie time, bath time and especially dinner she was with us. Speaking of at dinner time there would be 4 of us around the dinner table: 3 humans and 1 cat. We each had a chair. Joi normally sat next to my husband and just gave him the 'you are going to share with me' look...which he normally would.
We miss her very much and will never forget her. She brought so much joi into our lives and was truly a member of the family.

Emmie
11/8/2008 - 8/11/2015Emerson Sue " Emmie" came into my life when I fostered her and her three siblings. I immediately knew this little girl was to be my child. I adopted her and her sister and we had an amazing 7 years, 9 months together. You loved your treats so much. You loved to roll around in the bathroom at 2 in the morning, thinking it was time to get up. Emmie had the most beautiful face. She was shy and loved her to be with her mommy. Mommy loves you little girl. My life will never be the same and even though our time together was short, I wouldn't change a thing, only that you were still here. Run and play in heaven. Mommy will see you again one day.

We love you Em Em.

Tinkerbelle
4/20/2003 - 7/11/2015Tinkerbelle was a dog that was more special than I could have expected. She was a freebie at walmart, the runt of a litter from a rottie and lab parents. Black and shiny, with the most expressive face and personality I have ever known. She grew up with my sister and her family of four little boys and it stuck. When she came to live with me for her retirement I thought this "niece" dog was going to provide me with protection (135# and all black). I quickly got her back to a fighting weight of 90# with twice/thrice daily walks and a diet. I loved her short silky little ears and the looks she gave me if there was anything of interest. She took her first canoe ride with me and settled in to my heart like a champ, we went to the parks, petco, starbucks (for puppacinos), sidewalk dining at restaurants and visiting family regularly. This dog got a ride almost every day! Her favorite things were small children. When she heard a child's voice while walking or saw a little one in the park her nub started wagging and she got the most wistful look on her face and she seemed to will them over so she could get a smell and a kiss in. Her favorite meal (I think) was spaghetti with meat sauce; of course topped with parmesan :) If she was mad at you, you knew it. If she was happy, you knew it. She loved chasing fireworks, soccer balls, smaller dogs and frisbees. She never let a stranger near me, my sister or her boys. She and her friend Heidi treed squirrels for hours! I know I did the right thing by helping her to heaven where I hope she is friends again with Heidi and Orvis (her two little buds that went ahead of her). For the sake of all I hope she is in a heaven without cats!!St. Louis, MissouriAugust 12, 2015
Zip
5/27/2000 - 6/26/2015It's been your kind of summer, Zip ... mostly warm, sunny days and cool nights. We think of you every day but summer days especially remind us of you and we miss you even more. Things aren't the same without you as we come home to an empty house and don't have anyone to keep us company on the patio or when we take out the garbage or water the flowers. Watching TV is different too, without you cuddling up on one of us and since you left, it's just too hard to go for a walk. Even mornings aren't the same as we're not greeted with your sweet morning kisses. We grew to love you more and more with every passing day throughout your 10 years with us and we're grateful for the many good memories we have. We miss you so much little man!Kim & MaryannTroy, MichiganAugust 12, 2015

Nilla
2/14/2001 - 8/8/2015Nilla was a warm hearted cat with a big personality. Her playful behavior always had her family laughing and smiling. She had a beautiful black coat which included white angle boots, white gloves, a white spot on her lower belly, and a very clean tuxedo trail from her chin down to her chest. In addition, she had long, which white whiskers and eyebrows which made her even more beautiful. From the moment she entered our lives, she provided a light of happiness that would outshine any negativity that the day may have brought forth. Over time, her meows became more like our own language and her head nudges were her ways of showing love and appreciation. A lover of deep tissue back massages, Nilla appreciated the simpler things in life, such as lying down next to her family snuggled up while watching a movie, or simply sharing a seat on the balcony and admiring the high-rise view of Chicago's north side. Her spirit and the memories that she has left us will never be forgotten and no day shall pass in which those special moments with her will not be cherished.

I love you so much my little girl. Thank you for being our best friend, our family, and our rock. You better not be late when I come looking for you in front of the Rainbow Bridge!

Kiya
2/12/2002 - 2/7/2015Kiya you made life easier, happy and special. You were always there for me, loving me unconditionally, and you took away the stress and replaced it with love and comfort. Letting you cross the rainbow bridge was the hardest thing I have ever had to do, I will forever hold you in my heart and my memories. I'm so grateful I could hold you in your spot in bed to send you across the rainbow bridge. Until we meet again ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤.Julie TreanorOrange Park, FloridaAugust 11, 2015
Sunny
2/1/1997 - 8/7/2015Sunny was a wonderfully sweet, affectionate, amazing cat. She blessed our home for 19 years and even when she slowed down due to arthritis and kidney disease, she was always happy to be a part of our family and always greeted me with a happy meow when I got home every day. Dr. Mary Gardner gently and peacefully helped her pass in the comfort of our home on August 7th. Although it was one of the hardest things we ever had to do, we are grateful that Sunny was able to pass in our home, resting gently in my lap as I loved on her when she went. Thank you, Dr. Gardner for your kindness, compassion, and selflessness in helping us get through this incredibly painful time. Rest easy, my Sunny girl. We miss you terribly.Jill ZozulaIrvine, CaliforniaAugust 10, 2015
