Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
11/22/2014On Saturday November 22, 2014 at 3:00 pm Miley the princess of Yadkin manor crossed over the rainbow bridge,we had the pleasure of being her companions for 5 and 1/2 years. Miley came to us as a rescue and fit into our lives so easily. She had the most beautiful brown eyes that said I love you and life is good. We can only hope that we gave her as much joy as she gave us. Miley loved everyone in her own way, even though she had a rough start she was full of love for her people and other friends including her best friends Nelson, Tezzie, Spot Kitty and Walter. Rest in peace sweet baby.John CraftChespeake, VirginiaNovember 30, 2014
Tom Petty
5/24/2014 - 11/26/2014Tom, although we hoped for more, we are grateful for the 5 years we had together. We so enjoyed introducing you to a way of life you probably did not experience as a hunting dog or as a rescue. It was so much fun to watch you do a Benjamin Button, seemingly aging backwards as the effects of good food, soft beds and a whole lot of love transformed your body and mind. We loved the way you became more and more puppy-like as you learned you could come to us for whatever you needed. Your delight as you anticipated a walk, a road trip or a visit from grandma and grandpa always brightened our day. We miss the day to day details so much, sweet boy, but the gifts of your spirit-your kindness, gratitude and zen-like acceptance of whatever life offers will remain with us forever.Robin and Brian SponaugleArlington, VirginiaNovember 30, 2014
3/23/2014 - 11/27/2014Dear Winston, you came and went too fast. I only knew you for 4 years, but they were the best 4 years I could ask for. You were always there for me, to listen to me, to love me, to give me fashion advice and to wake me up in the middle of the night so you could have attention. Going to sleep without hearing your snoring and other noises is difficult but I know you are in doggie heaven now. Thank you for being a great friend and companion. Rest in peace Big Beefy.Ashley BlessumArlington, VirginiaNovember 30, 2014

6/16/2014 - 11/25/2014Oh Big Boy, we miss you so much. It is the little things you did that twist my heart and cause me to cry. Yesterday I cleaned up the yard and scooped your last poop and I cried. Isn't that crazy?! The impact you had on us is tremendous. You will always have a special place in our hearts.Yvonne AlaibillaRenton, WashingtonNovember 29, 2014
10/31/2014 - 11/9/2014It has been a hard few weeks on the farm with recent losses. My sweet sweet Callie lost her fight with cancer. We only had a little over a year with this special rescue dog. It was not long enough. I will be forever grateful for my friend who saw Callie at the animal hospital and knew I would want her since we are huge cattle dog fans. She sat there for 3 mos with no other takers after months on the streets. I picked her up the same day I saw her. She cared little for others although she was friendly. She would say a quick hello to visitors then promptly resume her spot on my side and often I felt her teeth on my right calf just to let me know she was there in her friendly way. She was recently put to sleep in our home with her buddies close by. Dusty, her best friend stood by her the entire time. I will miss watching these 2 play. We have had many cattle dogs over the years. She was the most devoted loyal dog I could have asked for. Glad she came into our lives. Wish she could have stayed longer. Loved this pooch.Julie WinthropTrenton, FloridaNovember 25, 2014
Maggie Moo
10/9/1998 - 10/11/2014I remember meeting and falling in love with you like it was yesterday, that sunny Sunday afternoon at Lambs Farm. I also remember going home without you as Daddy needed a bit of convincing. That night I came down with the flu and as I lay in bed all week, my mind kept coming back to that beautiful black and white party mix cocker spaniel. That next Saturday we went back to Lambs Farm and you and your sister were still there, once I held you I knew then I would love you the rest of my life. What a sweet and wonderful little girl you were. At four years old, you showed me the warrior side of your personality. You were diagnosed with glaucoma and battled it for years and years. Just a couple months later you would slip and become paralyzed. Again you would fight through surgery and rehabilitation at Tops Veterinary Rehab. Nine days later you would take your first steps and you never slowed back down. Years down the road you would lose your first battle with glaucoma and an eye had to be removed, in typical Maggie Moo fashion you consoled me with kisses and learned quickly to use the loss of that eye as a begging tool. “Look mommy, no eye, May I have your ham sandwich”…I knew then that was your way of saying its ok. A year or so later the second eye would have to go and you showed me this would not stop you as you pranced through the back yard. You have made me laugh and smile; you are my Princess Warrior Maggie!! Now the day has come where Daddy and I have to give you some peace and comfort and help you cross the Rainbow Bridge. You will be missed greatly, but always be in my heart. Mommy loves you my little Magger Moo! Until we meet again, rest in peace sweet angel.Wendy SearsMundelein, IllinoisNovember 25, 2014
8/12/2005 - 11/24/2014Smokey was a loving kitty who captured the hearts of many - cat lovers and non-lovers alike. She loved waiting by the window for her family to come home and enjoyed putting on a show before dinner even more. No one could put on a matinee like her; rolling around was her specialty. She brought so much love and warmth into our house that we cannot possibly imagine another cat like her. She was mommy's girl. Smokey spent her time laying in our laps and loving us as much as she possibly could and we returned the favor wholeheartedly. We love you more than words and will miss you terribly, but we will see you again one day.
