2/5/2007 - 8/3/2020Dear Leia ~ it has been 10 days and we miss you so much. I miss you so so much.

Tears still come and we have set up a special Leia corner in your one corner of the family room where you loved to lay on your huge bed and feel the fan on you. I light your candle every night and don't tell Brad, but I ordered him special socks with your picture on it.

We miss 1) your sweet sweet spirit 2) you in our faces or getting up as fast as you could when even the hint that food might be landing anywhere near you, 3) I miss how you would follow me around the house all day long as I worked or would sleep next to me and occasionally just glance up to be sure I was right there for a desired love, 4) I miss our very slow 60 min walks around one block so you could be a dog and just be you and smell every scent and sniff as much as you wanted, 5) I miss how you didn't know how to kiss when I met you, but you learned to give kisses when you realized you weren't a dog anymore when I married your dad - that you had gained human status in our house, 6) I miss your smell - we still haven't washed your bedding upstairs hoping I can still catch your special Leia sweet smell. 7) I miss how you would literally bounce/levitate even in old age with joy when it was Breakfast or Dinner time. 8) Patch misses you SO VERRRRRRY MUCH sweet girl. You changed his life and became his bestie and helped him adjust when we traveled 9) I miss how the minute we hit the farm you went to eat hot cow pies and hang out at the barn / outside in the fields for the entire time just roaming and finding chickens to haunt. 10) I love and miss how we would sit in the dock together and you would jump in the minute you saw a duck - cause you knew what to do with a Duck. 11) I really miss how fireworks NEVER phased our gun dog and you just slept thru it all unlike your arse of a sibling Patch. 12) I miss all neighborhood kids coming by to see you and Patch and walk you for Popsicle payment and how much joy you brought and how everyone knew Princess Leia. 13) i miss your oily lab fur 14) I miss how you loved having your ears rubbed and cleaned with a hot washcloth 14) I miss every night laying down with you and saying goodnight and just being together.

Leia I just miss EVERYTHING about you. Thank you for making me and us a better, kinder, gentler human(s) and for bringing so much joy to us ... your happiness never waned. You have just always been here and now we miss your energy and your spirit, which is irreplaceable. I imagine you in heaven w/ my grandfather keeping him company looking down on us.

Thank you for the morning after leaving me a special sign, just me at 4:30am and all your candles from the night before were still lit on the deck overnight... I felt you sweet girl. Thank you for that sign.

We LOVE you forever and ever and everywhere I go I still miss you but i feel your sweet gentle spirit in me trying to leave no wake in the world.

Love your humans forever.

Riley ,
You saved me when I found you 15 years ago. Then we came to your Daddy as a package deal. You welcomed Henry to our family.
You will forever hold a big part of our hearts. I hope you are chasing all the rabbits and squirrels you can .
We love you eternally.

8/1/1998 - 8/12/2020Tiger came to us in the Fall of 1999; she left us on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at about 9:30 a.m., falling asleep peacefully on the back porch while lying in the sun listening to the birds. We brushed and pet her until she breathed no more…and we all noted that she purred until the very end…Don & Tiffany KaminskiPittsburgh, PennsylvaniaAugust 13, 2020

Jim Bowie
5/22/2007 - 8/10/2020Jim was my best friend and my family. As soon as I got home, Jim was there. When I went to bed every night, Jim got in his spot beside me. Whether I was watching TV or working, he was always by my side. I lost my sweet guy to terminal lung cancer and now there is a huge gap in my life. We had 13 great years together. I found Jim when he was a little kitten and we have been inseperable ever since. I know Jim had a great life, I bent over backwards to cater to him. Best (most expensive) food, cleaned the litter box everyday, and fresh water...he only drank the freshest water. I did anything and everything to make him happy and comfortable because he deserved it! He was fussy, stubborn and picky his whole life but he was so affectionate, devoted and loving. When we would go out of town he could see him on the camera waiting patiently on the couch for our return. I know he adored me and loved me unconditionally. My wife, not so much... he mostly tolerated her and it showed lol. Over the past few months, Jim's breathing became more difficult and his quality of life was declining. Ultimately we had to euthanize when it was clear he was ready. It was one of the most difficult decisions I have ever made. I will always remember the life we shared and I am so thankful he for the time I had with him. I will always love and adore Jim and I'm happy he is at peace now over the rainbow bridge. Until we meet again good buddy.Bryan JohnsonDallas, TexasAugust 13, 2020
8/28/2002 - 8/4/2020I just want to say thank you. Your adoption story changed me forever as a kid, and from that day on I promised myself I'd give the best life I could give you. Your kindness and love impacted many people's lives. You were the best big sister and doggie I could've asked for! So thank you for giving me the opportunity to be your doggie Mama, and fighting to be with us. You were only 5 years old when I adopted you, but you lived to be 18. I love you more than words can describe. Until we meet again my Princess 👑🐶😇💕Linda MartinezChicago, IllinoisAugust 12, 2020
6/12/2007 - 8/11/2020Bear aka Bearsly
was our campion everyday for 13 years, he and his brother traveled for the first 5 years, Bear
was able to swim in the Gulf of Mexico, run through the forest & play in streams in Oregon, play in the snow
in Nevada and Oregon, he preferred the cold to the heat of Texas or Nevada.
He loved to eat and push around his brother, although they were best buddies.
Bear loved squeaky toys, actually he loved to rip the squeaky out, when he lost his hearing towards
the end and stopped playing, that was so sad.
We gave Bear a full life, but to me it's never Long enough.

12/10/2005 - 8/11/2020Almost 15 years ago we brought Hannah home and a month later, we found out I was pregnant! My sweet Hannie, you were the best playmate for Amanda as she grew up. You would happily clean up the food she dropped on the floor, be her guardian when she walked up the stairs alone, and always let her dress you up. You were a champion at frisbee and fetch, jumping high up in the air then putting it gently into our hands so we would throw it again. Thank you for all the cuddles and love. We will miss you dearly! 💔Jaclyn DoughertyGlenside, PennsylvaniaAugust 12, 2020
3/9/2020 - 8/5/2020Oreo-You were the best dog in the world! You gave us 13 years of joy and happiness. Thank you for the walks and cuddles through the years. You always loved to be around people and join in whatever was going on. Sometimes it even seemed like you thought you were a person! Your favorite toys were your original snowman, Big Bird, and the blue pillow that came with your bed-plain side only (that really wasn’t even a toy)! You enjoyed plenty of “people” food with your favorites being pizza crusts, chicken, green beans, cantaloupe, and ice cream cones. You would always lie on our coats and blankets and loved to relax on the bean bag chairs or in the sun. You were our guard dog too and would bark when anybody came to the door, then wag your tail and lick them to pieces. Speaking of licking-this was one of your favorite things to do and you even became known as Oreo ‘the licker’ Meliton among other nicknames like Oreos, Bubba, and Puppy of the Year. You were also the best ‘Big Brother’ to the twins.Kim MelitonPittsburgh, PennsylvaniaAugust 12, 2020
9/23/2006 - 8/9/2020My Squishy Kushi was the best dog anyone could ever hope for. He was a godsend. I got him at a time in my life when things would start going really bad, and he was strong for me through all of it. He knew when I was upset and would lay with me, give me kisses, let me hug him until I felt better again. He kept me alive. Even when he was in pain, he tried so hard to comfort me. He gave my hand some small kisses the day before he left the Earth, even with his nose hurting how it was. In the end, the cancer took his nose, and him. He made the world a better place. Days are so dark without him. He was my Light and my Joy. My reason for getting up every day. Rest in peace, my baby boy. No more pain.LeighAnn AdkinsonHarrisburg, PennsylvaniaAugust 12, 2020
