Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
12/1/2004 - 3/1/2021We adopted our sweet Riley girl when she was 3 years old. She instantly stole the hearts her human sister and brother, Kristin and Dustin and mom and dad too! Riley fought an aggressive cancer for the last two years of her life, she was a real trooper. Riley had this sweet and gentle spirit about her and she will always be loved and dearly missed. Thanks to Lap of Love Riley’s transition to the next chapter of her life was very peaceful.Cindy FieneYukon, OklahomaMarch 3, 2021
7/1/2006 - 7/1/2020Sherbie created a spot in my heart that will forever reach for his soul. It has been some time since he passed and I couldn’t bring myself to post each time I tried. He was kind enough to bring two new kittens into my life, but the absence of his physical presence still aches. I have no words for the impact that he had on my life or the comfort that was brought when work would throw something horrible my way. The scars that I have from accidents during play time healed, yet the wound to the heart forever bleeds.

While Lap of Love didn’t have a DVM to send out they connected me with someone that made the journey to guide Sherbie to the bridge. It was clear that money was not their goal. They wanted to ensure a comfortable passing ASAP to stop the cancer from hurting Snuggle Kitty anymore.

10/15/2005 - 2/23/2021Dr. Nick was so kind and gracious when Lily needed help passing on in December. No one else would do to help with Honey's passing. Lily and Honey were constant and steadfast companions for the last 16 years and I will miss them both desperately.Las Vegas, NevadaMarch 3, 2021

Stella Lou
10/17/2007 - 2/25/2021Our little Stella was a world traveler she went everywhere with us from day one, she was well loved by everyone that came across her including making a few visits to some nursing homes when we had a relative staying there on a few occasions and she was a hit with everyone. She loved to play chase throughout the house and hide and seek. Her favorite spots were always right beside someone when she was sleepy, especially if you had a blanket. She gave us so much love and companionship over the years.

1/1/2008 - 2/26/2021Kono was pretty out of sorts when we first got him from the shelter - aggressive, barked a lot, mangled a book and the leg of the coffee table. But eventually - well, it took a couple of years - he settled down somewhat and became a beloved member of the family. His whimpering when he wanted to go for a walk was endearing; so was his occasional chirping in his sleep. We still disagree on his brainpower - the decision to attack a skunk in the backyard didn't work out well and he didn't seem to learn from the experience. Thirteen years later, as his health deteriorated, his time had come and his passing saddened us.Dale KaslerSacramento, CaliforniaMarch 3, 2021
11/27/2004 - 2/24/2021Schillie personified pure joy. She may have been a little dog, but her energy could envelop an entire home. Schillie would run the hallway like Speedy Gonzales one moment and then snuggle up to you the next with her glistening brown angel eyes. Schillie filled my heart (and others) with so much happiness and contentment. She taught me what the essence of true love really is and how it centers around unselfishness, sacrifice, and loyalty. I will never be able to adequately thank Schillie for changing my life so profoundly, but I can celebrate her life today, and honor her each day going forward by how I live my life.

Until we meet again, my sweet Chihuahua. Hope you're having fun in heaven with Hank & Hazel and those who love you beyond time.

"Love lives on forever
in each memory and thought
Of the special ones
who meant so much
and the happiness they brought.

Love lives on forever -
it will never fade away,
For, in our hearts, our loved ones
are with us every day." - Author Unknown

I Will Always Love You, Schillie!

Cheri Berri Bush
12/25/2003 - 3/1/2021You left a paw print on my heart, my beloved furchild,
Your furry nose always nudging me when I was down,
Turning my frown into a smile,
You were such a gift from above,
So full of unconditional love,
I love taking you for long walks,
Watching you as you smelled the air,
As you greeted every person you met with a beautiful furry smile,
Such love and compassion in your tender eyes,
I loved dancing with you across the room,
I loved how you did the wiggle when you were happy,

I loved how you always came into my arms when I was hurting or in pain,
You showed me how unconditional love felt,
You made every heart you met melt,
You had such a long journey, nineteen and half years to be exact,
You went so many places, touched so many lives just with your furry smile,

You were more than my dog, you were my fur child. You were my loyal faithful furry companion till the end.
You were the bestest friend, You showered us with love and adoration,
When we adopted you, We thought we rescued you, but the truth is you rescued us.
We watched you go from vibrant and lively to weary and lifeless,

It was the hardest thing I ever had to do was say goodbye to you, As you passed to the other side in my arms,
Surrounded by those who loved you and the lives you touched,
It felt as a piece of my heart was ripped from my chest,
But somehow I knew this was what was best,
You gave me the final look our of your eyes, when I could no longer see my Cheri, but I saw Heaven in your eyes,
That's when I realized it was time for you to go,

May you await for me at Heaven's gate, Promise me you will Greet me as you always did while on Earth,
With Unconditional love, with your furry nudges of your nose,
May you run with vibrant life on the other side,
Some how I know you will continue to be with me
As you left your eternal pawprint on my heart.
We will never part my fur angel, Cheri Berri.

We love you so very much, and will always miss you!

Love your Fur-mom and Fur-dad, and Sissy Lanie
