Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender"Dr. Katie was so amazing. No one on earth could have made this 'easy' or 'painless' for us, but Dr. Katie did something so much better. She became a part of our family the moment she walked through our front door. Brea, who had been in pain & weak all night the previous night, upon Dr. Katie's arrival, had to get up and greet our new guest with lots of kisses & love, as if she knew that Dr. Katie was a very special person & knew that she would be someone very important to us. Dr. Katie showed not only kindness, but a warmth & empathy true to only the kindest of souls. She cried with us. She hugged me, and cried some more. Never once did she seem in a hurry. She was there as if only for us, and us alone. She even took the time to look at photo books of Brea as a puppy growing up. Listened to stories. Shed tears. Laughed at videos of Brea playing with her daddy. She handled Brea with such tenderness & dignity--she had our complete and utmost trust. We KNOW that our baby was in the best possible hands.

There are no words to express the gratitude for the love that Dr. Katie showed to us. Dr. Katie is an angel on earth, guiding our babies to the Rainbow Bridge where they will get their own angel wings. I hope that Dr. Katie will remain a lifelong friend, because i feel truly blessed to have her in my life."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Angela Bross, DVM"I want to sincerely thank Dr Angela Bross, she was wonderful and very compassionate. Dr Angela met Zoe before the diagnoses of cancer was delivered. She had given Zoe accupuncture and I saw how she loved her her furry patients. She allowed the time for me to make decisions without rushing before, during and has been there for me even after. Zoe went peacefully in my arms thanks to Dr Angela. Lap of Love is a God sent - God bless you all."Ana AliceaYorktownApril 23, 2014
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"Bourbon hated going to the vet. That was not the last thing I wanted to remember about my sweet guy after twelve faithful years together. He deserved more. I called around to a few other home vets before finding lap of love. Others did not talk me through my options, or things to look out for when making the decision about timing, or offer near the availability. Brad made this process SO much easier and I have complete peace with the situation because of how accommodating/wonderful/helpful he was. So thankful for this service."Willow GroveApril 23, 2014
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christine Shibly"I had to say goodbye to my beloved Anjelica Jane today. After a long battle with kidney disease and lymphoma, it was time. But she just couldn't let go and I couldn't let her go on. Dr. Christine was a gentle spirit on such a difficult day. She never rushed me, worked with my requests, and made me feel like she cared about my baby, too. She made saying goodbye more peaceful. Thank you."Michele KeeganWashingtonApril 22, 2014

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Angela Lacoste Ledet, DVM"Angela was truly like an angel who came to take Tiger gently to the next world. She was sweet, compassionate, understanding and a very comforting presence. I appreciate Lap of Love acting quickly and sending Dr. Angela on a Sunday upon short notice to relieve Tiger's suffering as his health rapidly deteriorated. Angela's mentioning that she is expecting a baby somehow also helped let go of one life, knowing that another precious life was on its way to experience life on earth."Sanda Spicmiler-LewisMetairieApril 21, 2014Tiger Spicmiler-lewis's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Juliana Lyles, DVM"Dr. Juliana is a wonderful vet and person and was so thoughtful in how she treated Scruffy as well as myself when Scruffy went over the Rainbow Bridge. Dr. Juliana handled the whole process with dignity and with loving kindness."Lori RoselleBuffalo GroveApril 20, 2014
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Juliana Lyles, DVM"We recently euthanized our beloved dog, Shona (14 years old), who was sick with lung cancer. It was an extremely hard decision as she had some very good days, with some extremely bad ones in between, and her vet had estimated a week - to a month, for her to live.

When we made the decision, and called Dr. Lyle, she explained the process in detail, to us, was extremely kind and empathetic. Shona took to Dr.Lyle very well, as I am sure, she sensed the good person the doctor is, and I am sure this added to making the process as comfortable as it could possibly be.

With doctor Lyles' help, Shona left this world with grace, and without pain. Dr. Lyle, was very kind, respectful, and loving towards Shona, and that meant a lot to us. She also comforted us through our grief.

If we had to do this again, I couldn't think of using anyone other than Dr. Lyle.

Thank you Dr. Lyle. We are grateful."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender"I want to take a moment to say something about Dr. Katie.
Calling her to come was the hardest thing I ever had to do.
See, I couldn't have children and my dogs are my babies that
I can nurture and pour my love into and that makes losing
them losing family. Dr. Katie understood that. When she
came in to my house it was like an old friend who had come
to pick up all the broken pieces around me. My stomach was
in knots and my heart was absolutely breaking. She was like
a warm blanket wrapping my heart in love and understanding
when I needed it most. I honestly don't think I would have
handled losing Hancock very well if she had not been the
angel of mercy that morning. I've only met her once but I can
honestly say I love her and the service she provides. It isn't
just a doctor putting a dog down, it's a caring heart
understanding the depth of love one has for their pet.
She cried with my family and she hugged and kissed us as if
she knew him. Then came the words, "Your little baby just
got his wings" and I actually felt like a load had been lifted.
She stayed as long as it took my family to say goodbye and
for that we are so grateful. I told her she would certainly
have a special place in heaven as people like her are so
rare. If you're reading this and trying to decide the best way
to stop your baby's pain, I assure you, you will not be sorry.
It was, dare I say, something beautiful instead of sterile and
cold. God Bless Lap of Love. I cannot thank you enough."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jennifer Cook, DVM"I can not imagine what I would have done if not for meeting Dr. Cook. She was truly a God send for me and my precious Simon Peter. My Simon was a Jack Russell Terrier and he was just a couple months shy of being 15 years old. Simon was diagnosed with Mast Cell cancer in November 2013 and fought as long as he could, however he was very tired. Dr. Cook was one of the most compassionate, understanding, and kindest souls I have ever met. She was warm, reassuring, and sensitive to how hard this decision was for me. She was such a blessing and I will never forget what she did for me and my Simon Peter. Thank you seems so inadequate for such a great service and great person, but I truly thank Dr. Cook from the bottom of my heart, for the exceptional care she provided, and the very important service she provides."Tammy WilliamsLuttrellApril 19, 2014
