Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dana Lewis"Our experience was clearly a lap of love from Dr, Lewis's part. She was there to walk us through the process and make it less painful for us. Dr. Lewis was very comforting and very compassionate in this experience. She is great!"Roy RhodenPittsboroSeptember 14, 2013Tigger Rhoden's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Suzanne Brough, DVM"Suzanne was one of God's angels sent to relieve Skipper's pain and suffering and allow him to go from our arms to Jesus's arms. She was the most compassionate person we could have ever dreamed to have for Skipper and I'm sure he also loved her as she took care of him. I cannot imagine going thru this passing without Suzanne! She also has kept in touch with us in a very loving and spiritual way. I would recommend her very strongly for anyone facing this horrible tragedy of the passing of their beloved pet."Frank & Peggy ThomasCape CoralSeptember 14, 2013Skipper thomas's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amanda Grant"On September 10, 2013 we unfortunately had to send our loving pug, Rocky to doggy heaven. Dr. Amanda was very gentle and loving with our little buddy. And also with my son and me. We both want to thank Dr. Amanda very much for putting our little buddy out of his misery. He is now in heaven waiting for us with an eternally wagging puggy tail."Jeanette MartinezHollywoodSeptember 12, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Melanie Cohen, DVM"As we struggled to make this very hard decision, we found out about Lap Of Love. Our Chihuahua, Selena, gets very nervous and anxious at the vet, so this was the perfect option. Selena would be in the comfort her home surrounded by her family. When Dr.Cohen arrived, she explained step by step what was about to happen. She was patient, understanding, sympathetic and gave us the time that we needed to say goodbye to our wonderful Selena. Thank you Dr.Cohen for doing what you do, we couldn't have done this without you."Sylvia EdwardsUpper MarlboroSeptember 12, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Melanie Cohen, DVM"Making the decision to let go of Jazz, my 14-year old Shiba, was the hardest thing I had to do. I knew instantly upon speaking with Dr. Melanie that she was the right person to assist me in this difficult process. With her caring and compassion for both me and Jazz, he was able to go on to eternal rest in the loving presence of family and at home, the place he loved the most. Dr. Melanie walked us through the process and helped us to prepare long before the appointment. She was patient and kind with Jazz throught the process, and continued care for him all the way until he came home in his urn. I would recommend Lap of Love to anyone at this stage in their beloved pet's life."Grace BrownClintonSeptember 12, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"Making the decision to help our beloved dog, Ruby, leave this world was tremendously difficult. We find solace, however, in knowing we made the hard decisions when she needed us to make them...and the biggest one was to arrange her final care in our home. Dr. Brad is such a supportive and compassionate person. He made a horrible situation a lot less horrible; and he helped our sweet girl find peace with her head in John's lap and my kisses on her nose. We will never forget his kindness."Kelli and John PagePhiladelphiaSeptember 11, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"Thank you Dr. Brad for helping us say goodbye to Mikki at home. Our regular vet was closed since it was a Sunday and I wasn't sure about using a stranger. Dr. Brad's empathy was amazing and helped us through it. It was much better than taking her into the vet's office. It was such a sad occasion but I'm so relieved that we did it this way at home. Thank you!"Kim BezanisMedford LakesSeptember 10, 2013

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Melanie Cohen, DVM"Our experience with Dr Melanie was phenominal. We have worked in the field of hospice for 25 years and could not understand how the vetenary profession could not offer this service for our creatures who are family. Dr Melanie is visionary, perceptive, highly skilled, and understands all of the complicated aspects of hospice care for our furry creatures and their families. We continue to celebrate our time with our feral kitten, Baby, who learned to trust us at the final hour of her 15th year":-)alice mutchAnnapolisSeptember 9, 2013

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christine Shibly"I cannot thank Dr. Christine enough for her thoughtfulness and caring at this most difficult time. She was more than a "vet" to Rosie, she assisted me and my family through our long goodbye. Rosie was diagnosed in mid-July and we knew it was terminal but neither she nor were we ready right away. Dr. Christine was there every step of the way once I found about Lap of Love and supported our decision when we made it. Rosie's passing was calm, peaceful and painless for her, snuggled up on the couch with my daughter's blanket - a gift for her that I am happy that we were able to provide."Kathy KittrickAlexandriaSeptember 7, 2013Rosie's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dani McVety"I was dreading the day when this would come. I did not want to say goodbye to Buster at the Vet Hospital, the place he hated the most! A friend recommended Lap of Love which I am very thankful. Dani made us feel that it was Buster's time and she was very comforting. I was glad that we were able to say goodbye, for now, at home in his own bed."Laurie GallantOldsmarSeptember 5, 2013Buster's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"We sincerely appreciate the kindness and compassion of Dr Bates. We could not imagine have to take our little friend of 12 years to the facility. Having his last moments at home on the sofa he shared with us was beautiful, peaceful passing."New HopeSeptember 1, 2013
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Steven Schultz"Dr. Schultz was extremely patient and compassionate both on the phone and in person. He was readily available for whatever timing worked best for us. He gently disclosed details of the euthanasia process - how it worked and what to expect. Dr. Schultz made a beautiful pawprint to leave with us and offered follow-up support in the form of a card, emails, and posting Buddy's memorial on the Lap of Love facebook page.

I am extremely grateful to have had the Lap of Love in-home euthanasia option available. I couldn't have imagined the end of Buddy's life any other way than holding him in the comfort of our home for hours before and after. Thank you, Dr. Schultz and Lap of Love! The Eternal Pawprints booklet was lovely and the perfect touch, too. I will continue to recommend you!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Barry Cherno, DVM"We wanted to thank Dr. Barry so very much for being with us in helping our beautiful girl Terra cross over with peace, caring and calmness. We are so grateful for having the opportunity for Terra to be at home. Dr. Barry was wonderful, allowing us to talk to him about her situation and what a great dog she was, he even let our pitbull, Chance, just lick and lick him! We could not have asked for a more perfect doctor. He was so calm and understanding and explained everything with such an amazing grace! Thank you again Dr. Barry we really appreciated you being able to make the end of such a precious life such a peaceful experience. We will highly recommend your services to anyone in need."Julie BarrigerNew Port RicheyAugust 31, 2013
