Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender"Dearest Katie,
What a sweetheart you are!! You honestly made my family feel so special. You came into our home and walked my family through one of the most difficult time we have had. Even though you didn't know Lemon, I knew you felt our pain and you knew how special she was to us. Your compassion and love showed as if you had known our girl for years. Thank you so much for your kindness, and for being a crying shoulder for my family and all the other families that you come in contact with. The Fietsam family"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kendra Healy"Dr Kendra Healy (Kendra as she insisted on being called) is without a doubt one of the most compassion people I have ever met. I thank God that she has chosen her profession, because she proved to us on a very trying day that there are still people in the world that care for the suffering of others and provide dignity and compassion to not only the patient but to the suffering of the family. She will be a treasured friend to our family, always for the kindness that she has shown and the professionalism that she provided in a most difficult moment for us. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dana Lewis"Never have I seen so much compassion. As I sat holding my furry friend all night, I had no idea what to expect. Dr. Dana sat on the floor with me and talked me through the entire thing as my Little Annie closed her eyes and drifted off to be with my precious Jim whom I lost just 2 years ago. The two will be together on the Papawack Star and waiting for me. Thank you for your compassion and sensitivity to the suffering Annie and I shared."Janet ThompsonChapel HillJuly 16, 2014Annie's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender"Our Jake might have gotten his wings, but Dr. Katie is our Angel. Our first phone call caught Dr. Katie driving back from her vacation. She took the time to talk to me and to access Jake's situation. The compassion that she showed for a family that she had never met was remarkable. She checked up on us when she got home and came to our house the next morning. You see Jake was blind, deaf, arthritic and had cancer. Dr. Katie was caring and gentle with Jake and took good care of me too. It was Jake's time and he was ready. It was the hardest phone call to make but in the end it was the easiest and the most comfortable decision for Jake. Thank you Dr. Katie for letting Jake walk across the rainbow bridge at home and pain free."Teri RatliffJacksonvilleJuly 16, 2014
