Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Annie Dion-Byrd, DVM"Our baby kitty Ruby was diagnosed with mouth/face cancer at the age of 12. It was an extremely fast-growing cancer and when her time had come, we contacted Lap of Love after a recommendation from our vet and a family friend.

Dr. Annie is one of the most incredible people I have ever met. She made such a horrible process a lot easier and peaceful than it would have been otherwise. Her genuine compassion and love for animals really showed and she made sure Ruby was comfortable the whole time. It was easily one of the worst days of my life, but I know Dr. Annie made it a lot easier.
I can't thank her enough for helping me and my family through such a hard time and making sure Ruby's last moments before she passed were as comfortable as possible.

As many others have mentioned in the testimonials, the whole process was done with such grace and dignity, and I really felt like Dr. Annie respected Ruby and us."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jessica Wilbourne, DVM"We could not bear putting our best friend Lee in the car to take him to the veterinarian's office. Dr. Jessica was so kind, professional and compassionate. We were able to say goodbye to Lee in the comfort of his home, something he certainly deserved after all his years of loyal companionship. Thank you for being there for our family."Brenda FinnLanghorne, PennsylvaniaMarch 12, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kendra Healy, DVM"Thank you, Dr. Healy, for making an unbearable situation, somewhat more bearable. She seemed to understand how difficult this was for all of us. She was endlessly compassionate and shared that she too had been through this. She supported our decision. Really the hardest decision we have ever had to make. Dr. Healy provided us with mementos of our Baby, and brought in a basket with soft blankets in them, so that I could lay him down for the last time. I covered him with his blue blanket. I was able to hold my Baby when he went to sleep for forever, and he was here in his home with all of us around him. Being at home was so important for Taro as well as us. He passed away in peace and with dignity, because of Dr. Healy."Elizabeth GulleyLexington, KentuckyMarch 12, 2019Taro's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Carrie Roberts, DVM"Dr. Carrie has such a peacefulness about her. I spoke with her on the phone prior to her arrival with a few questions I had regarding my Lambo’s last day. She was calm and made me really feel comfortable. When she arrived she showed us the most respect and I never felt judged. This was a very hard loss for me and I appreciated her giving us time to cope with each step of the situation. She was very open and honest with my questions and never rushed me. I am so thankful for this practice and for vets like Dr. Carrie. I truly feel good about having to have made this sad decision. Knowing she would take care of my big guy like her own made me feel really comfortable as well."Kara RoseImperial, MissouriMarch 12, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kim Bruce, DVM, CVA"When our 16 year old dog had clearly had her last good day, we called Lap of Love. From start to finish, everyone we dealt with was impeccable. Dr. Bruce was so tremendous, our dog's passing felt almost too sacred for tears. It was calm and beautiful and exactly what I'd want for any dog. We won't hesitate to recommend Lap of Love to anyone who finds themselves in this sad position."Lindsay ACentennial, ColoradoMarch 12, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Suzanne Cosentino, DVM"Dr. Suzanne thank you for your assistance with our dog Roxie. You were very kind and gentle with her and me both. I had always wanted Roxie to go this way. In a quiet familiar place with me petting her and just the sound of my voice to comfort her. Roxie was the only dog I have ever had and she was with me for sixteen wonderful years. She struggled in the end getting around and this winter had not been kind to her. I know she is now in no more pain and is at peace. She is running like the wind. I will miss her everyday for the rest of my life. I know Roxie didn't want to leave me. I know she misses me too. Thank you again for your kindness and understanding."Carol SewardBelton, MissouriMarch 12, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jessica Jensen, DVM"Thank you Lap of Love. On one of my worst days, you were there with kindness and compassion. Dr. Jessica has what has to be an extremely difficult job, that I am so grateful for. To have the option to have my baby girl cross the rainbow bridge without the trauma of getting dragged into the car and to the office. I don't have the words to thank you for not putting us through that. Dr. Jessica came to the house and showed my family kindness and compassion. She gave my girl a calm last day. Thank you Dr. Jessica <3"Melissa BrownLas Vegas, NevadaMarch 12, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"I had already researched Lap of Love and knew I would be calling them when it was time. When that time came and the oncologist told me that my girl was deteriorating quickly, I called Lap of Love to make the soonest appointment. Two days later, Dr. Sally showed up for our appointment. I did not know what to expect. However I just wanted to say that Dr. Sally went above and beyond my expectations. She turned an otherwise very very sad day into one that was treated with such grace, sensitivity, respect and dignity. Princess left this earth so peacefully and comfortably, and Dr. Sally ensured that the experience for us was one that was exceptionally beautiful. I cannot thank her enough. I’ve been unable to write any of this down as I’ve just been too sensitive, even though it’s been three weeks to the moment when my girl passed. However I want everyone to know what a gift Dr. Sally is."Joanne ChristopherWestborough, MassachusettsMarch 12, 2019Princess's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jenn Roedig, DVM"So...I have been putting this off for a few weeks now. If Dr. Jenn hadn't been so amazing, I probably wouldn't be on here at all! Saying goodbye to my Emma Girl was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I wished she would go peacefully in her sleep but at 17 years old she had just deteriorated to a point that wasn't fair to such a loyal and loving friend. With that said I still struggled up to the moment to let her go and thank goodness for the lovely and kind Dr. Jenn! She was so sincere, kind, and gentle, I cannot imagine a better person for such a difficult moment. Before the goodbyes we had to prepare my daughter for her first big loss and Lap of Love sent amazing resources to me to help us. Dr. Jenn also sent a handwritten card and an email filled with the kindest words. She made the process so peaceful and calm, that it made coping a little bit easier (though I am still working on that part!). I will absolutely lean on Dr. Jenn when/if the need arises with my other furry babies, I wouldn't go through it any other way..."Sara WestrichFairfield, OhioMarch 12, 2019Emma Girl's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Anne Mitchell, VMD"I couldn't have asked for more. Lap of Love worked with me on my schedule, even with a short notice. Dr. Anne was compassionate and took great care with my Gizmo - even with the lovely basket she used to take him to her car. This was much better than taking an anxious dog to the vet."Roz NathansonWynnewood, PennsylvaniaMarch 12, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jordy Merrifield, DVM"Thank you Dr. Jordy, you made our heartbreaking decision to let our Angel - Blue Dog go so much better for Blue and us. Blue being at home with us is truly the best way to say Bye for Now! I miss him so!! You are Awesome, thank you for being so kind and caring!!!"Tori WatsonGilbert, ArizonaMarch 11, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jessica Boden, DVM"The first thing I need to do is thank Dr. Boden. She was incredibly empathetic, sympathetic, and made me and my best friend the focus of her visit. I think the best thing I can say, is that she made the end of my best friend's life a good memory. I mean that: She made sure that he went out the best way he could have. I've even told friends, I hope I get to go in such similar fashion!

My buddy and I were outside when Dr. Boden arrived, he was sleeping in my lap. He was dying of advanced leukemia and lymphoma, and the time was nigh. When Dr. Boden arrived, her focus was not just the purpose of the call but also me, and the fact that I was losing my best friend of 14 years. While my Mo slept in my lap, she did what she was called to do, and my best buddy went peacefully in his sleep, laying in his favorite spot.

I cannot begin to tell you how valuable it is, to let your family go in their home, and to have someone with you for the loss of a long time companion, who knows how to listen, empathize, and appreciate your connection to your pet.

Dr. Boden, you are a gift not just to the Animal kingdom, but to us pet owners you care for so diligently. Thank you."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi, DVM"The thought of putting my beautiful 19 yr old coon cat to sleep, was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my life. The thought of taking her to the vet in an emergency situation, was something I would not do to her. I googled in home euthanasia and found THE MOST wonderful compassionate people I’ve ever met. Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice were amazing. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Heather Manfredi, under the worst of circumstances. I pictured myself in bed crying for days, thinking how was I ever going to live without my baby girl . She came to my home, so kind, so compassionate, giving me all the time I needed to do the unthinkable. She helped me to understand I was doing the right thing and made me feel at peace with the decision I knew I had to make. I held my Roxy in my arms and she looked at me in peace, not stress, and passed peacefully in my arms. To every pet lover I say, when it’s time to let your beloved go, there is NO other way, Give them the love and respect they deserve, and call these wonderful people. Thank you Heather for bringing my baby back home to me. I will never forget you."Lynne ZollinoWest Islip, NYMarch 11, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kristine Campanelli, DVM"On March 7, 2019 our daughter called us in a panic. Her first child, Zeus a 15 year old pittie was not well. We knew this day was approaching as his health had deteriorated over the last few months. I told my daughter to call Lap of Love because I heard nothing but positive about them. She called our vet first because she obviously trusted him more, lol. With all seriousness, She just wanted to hear his advice as a professional. He was off that day but his team, knowing how big the boy was recommended Lap of Love.
I called Lap of Love because our daughter couldn't. After a brief discussion with a Lap of Love team member, I scheduled the visit. Dr. Kristine arrived shortly after. She explained everything, guided us and Zeus with lots of love and compassion that lead to his peaceful passing.
Immediately after Dr. Kristine left, my daughter, as hard as she was crying, said to me, mom Dr. Kristine was amazing. I agree, Dr. Kristine is amazing at what she does to make a difficult situation easier. I highly recommend the Lap of Love team!!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"It's been three months without my boy, Lou, and I still look for him at the top of the stairs when I come home from work. I often see him out of the corner of my eye, and my dreams are filled with a blue eyed gaze so intense that it will forever remain in my heart and imagination. We were together for 18 years and he lived a long, healthy life. His deterioration was quick and it was neurological. He could no longer use his box, groom himself, and he was often confused and wandering in circles. The thought of such a proud and regal Kitty suffering through to the bitter end was more than I could bear. The thought to euthanize, however, was equally as painful because he was still eating and drinking. It was Dr. Deveau who, without ANY judgement, patiently and gently helped us to understand and accept the humanity of our decision. The experience was all that I'd want for ANY living creature. Lou transitioned painlessly and peacefully swaddled in my arms. His blue eyed gaze was one of recognition (a blessing) and pure love. He passed with his dignity and grace in tact. This is one of the best, albeit most painful, decisions that I've ever made."Kimberlee HansonAlbuquerque, New MexicoMarch 10, 2019
