Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Melinda Glavin, DVM"Dr. Melinda Glavin was so sweet and loving to both Trooper and us. She made the process of saying goodbye to our beloved Trooper a little easier. I was so glad that he was first given a shot to sedate him-one that he didn’t even feel-he was so sedated that he was snoring. She explained the whole process as she went along and gave us as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes."Lisa, Charlie, Brian TomaselloHammonton, New JerseyMarch 6, 2019Trooper's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sarah Tangeman, DVM"Dr. Sarah was so sweet, kind, and knowledgeable. We met under the worst of veterinary circumstances, but she was sweet and personable and of course, professional."Andrea ReordanColleyville, TexasMarch 6, 2019Romulus's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jenn Roedig, DVM"Thank you so much....While it was one of our worst days, Dr. Jenn was so patient and compassionate. That Josie immediately seemed to like and trust her, was all we needed to know that we were in good hands. She was very wary of strangers and did not make friends easily, I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Jenn and Lap of Love. To be able to keep Josie in her home where she was relaxed and comfortable was SO nice.

From the initial phone call to schedule the appointment, to her ashes being returned to us yesterday, everyone we encountered were loving and caring and understanding of how hard the loss of a family member is....Dr. Jenn is a special person to do what she does for others.

It has been a rough couple of days, and yes, our house feels seems so empty without her large presence there. But we know she is in a better place and no longer in pain and her well being and dignity was all that mattered."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Shannon Skevakis, DVM"Dr. Shannon is one of the most compassionate and considerate people I have ever met. She held me as I sobbed - and let me take my time in saying goodbye to my best friend. Letting go of the ones you love is always a painful process. I am thankful that Dr. Shannon helped me through it.

My Bisk was all heart and soul (with a little bit of devil) and I miss her sorely. She had a wonderful 17 years and I know she's with her brother, creating havoc at Rainbow Bridge."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kim Slade, DVM"Lap of Love is just wonderful. From the very first phone call to the day we said goodbye to our beloved pet, the support we received was beyond our expectations. Dr. Kim guided us through her visit with kind words, wisdom, and even a little laughter! She pampered our sweet 17 year old kitty with treats and love, and put him to rest with compassion and grace. The entire experience was peaceful, and Dr. Kim made us just as comfortable as she did our pet. We're so thankful to have chosen this service and to have met Dr. Kim!"Michell KasarPiscataway, New JerseyMarch 5, 2019

I couldn't do what she does, but am thankful that she does what she does - she is kind and patient and gentle. It's never easy to have to help a critter you love so much leave this earth, but she definitely helped us."Kristi DuchschererWethersfield, ConnecticutMarch 5, 2019Grace's Pet Memorial

I could not have hoped for a more peaceful passing for Minna, and I know it was because of Dr. Klickman. She took her time, explained everything, and most importantly, clearly cared that our family was experiencing immense sadness. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi, DVM"My Buddy Max,
He was my Partner in crime for 16 years , we went through a lot of life's ups and downs together , with him Forever Loyal and by my Side. We had fun times and trying times together, him never giving up on me and I never giving up on Him. He was Smart , Loyal , giving and Loving to every person and other Animal that came into His life. When he was young he was adventurous and a little bit of a trouble maker but at the age of 7 He seemed to smooth his edges and became the Perfect Dog. I taught him thing's, But More Importantly He Taught me more things about Life than I could possibly ever Imagined. My Maxie taught me how to Love unconditionally, he taught me commitment, he taught me Compassion, he taught me Patience, he taught me some of My Life's greatest Lesson's and Loved me through them all. He trusted me to take care of him, to feed him , to bath him, to get good health care for him when he needed it and I trusted him to Protect me and Our Home which He did Amazingly. We had fun times together we Played ball, learned new tricks, had great walks together and even took some Florida trips together. How I used to Love our Sunday dinners together, I would make my sauce and meatballs and Maxi couldn't wait because he knew he was getting a dish of it with his Dad. I use to Laugh as he would smell the sauce , he was my Boy...... well I knew our time together would never be enough for either or us. My Boy was just getting old and gradually he was letting me know his time was coming. It was tough for him I know he wouldn't let go of me and I didn't want to let go of Him. How do you Say good bye to someone who has given you such Love and Loyalty, who was always there Loving You and Looking for you when you walk in the Door with no Judgement. I just knew I wanted My Max to go from this world Very Gently and Peacefully and with all the Love he had always given me...... how do I do that.......
Well his time came on February 20th 2019 and God sent us both an Angel in Dr. Heather Manfredi. She was so kind and Gentle with my Boy and I knew he was in Gods hands...... she was so Compassionate to me and Max and eased our fears... Her gifts of her Heart truly showed to me and Max and made all the Difference in Our Hardest Time. Our would like to Thank Doctor Heather for Loving and Caring for My Boy as much as I would. How we treat each other in this World is Important and does make all the Difference, Lap of Love is a great service and I'm Glad God put them in Our path........
I will always Love and Miss You My Maxie.....Peace and My Love to where you are in Gods Heavens, Max we will find each other again some day my Buddy....... Love Daddy XXXXXXOOOOO"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erica Fry, DVM"On February 12, 2019 we had to let our sweet Sydney go over the Rainbow bridge. This was a hard decision because she fell ill in such a short time. We rescued Sydney in 2011, however over the many years she daily rescued us. She was always so happy to see anyone come through that front door. Bounding with excitement as to say...welcome... you are here let me show you in. She loved attention and lots of petting. When she became a part of the Schambacher family she joined our beloved Tahoe ( Doberman) and our sweet Zoe ( Min Pin) we referred to the three of them as the three musketeers. Sadly in 2015 Tahoe passed over the rainbow bridge, leaving Sydney and Zoe as the two remaining musketeers. Being two females they tolerated each other yet were very close. Many times finding them laying together. On November 12th 2017 Zoe who was 14 yrs. old was very ill with Diabetes, Pancreatitus, and Cushings disease and was completely blind. I miss her daily as she was my Lap of Lover per say everyday. Lap of Love came to our home and I couldn't be more pleased with their attending to the family as well as Zoe. Dr. Sarah was present for Zoe... She made it ( don't want to say easier) but with such love and caring during this time. I carried her to the car and watched her leave and felt that she was in very good hands. We had her cremated as we did previously with Tahoe . Because of this first experience with Lap of Love, when it was decided that we didn't want Sydney to suffer any further without hesitation we called Laps of Love. Dr. Erica is such a wonderful, kind vet that again I couldn't ask for a better entrance for Sydney to the rainbow bridge. I don't know how these Vets do this on a day to day basis but feel that God only puts special people in this type of position. Lap of Love is definitely Angels.
Forever grateful to everyone at Lap of Love for all of your kindness."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Tina Olivieri, DVM"I knew in my heart that it was getting to be time for my sweet cat Seymour to cross the rainbow bridge, but I wasn't sure when or how I would know. He was 18 1/2 years old and incontinent but I was still struggling with what to do. Enter Lap of Love. From start to finish they were kind, professional and always understanding. Dr. Tina came to our home and it instantly felt like we had a friend and a guide helping us through a difficult time. She was patient, empathetic and compassionate, and her care for Seymour and for us was genuine. Her work is truly sacred and I am so glad there are people like her doing it. I could not have asked for a better passing for Seymour. I was so touched by how loving and kind Dr. Tina was towards our sweet kitty. She took her time and walked us through our feelings and educated us on euthanasia. We thank her from the bottom of our hearts."Claire PichelLos Angeles, CaliforniaMarch 4, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Cathy Berquist, DVM"I met Hammie at a pug rescue event in Tampa. All of us volunteers and foster pugs were gathered at a car dealership...in hopes of finding forever homes. It was a windy, dreary day...but Hammie lightened up that day...and my life....when I first saw him. He had such a beautiful thick coat and he reminded me of a past pug, "Grandma," that I had. Hammie was a big personality in a little package. He was a male diva, so my boyfriend dubbed him a "divo." He was spunky, especially at meal times. He would bark at me and even herd me into the kitchen. He had an internal clock when it came to food. He would bark until his front paws came off the ground. I would smile and laugh and hurry up! Besides the feisty side, he was also very loving. He would let me hold him on his back like a baby for long lengths of time. He languished in belly rubs, looks of love, and terms of endearment from his mommy. I only had Hammie 2 1/2 years, but he impacted me for the rest of my life. He was pure, unconditional love...a type of love that will never be experienced this side of Heaven. It was just three months prior that I had to lay my sweet Louie to rest. The house was so empty after they were gone...it didn't even feel like a home. I rescued another pug, Gertie, and my home is alive again. There will never be a replacement for Hammie, but I think he would approve of me loving another baby...like I loved him. I pray that I will see you again. Rest in peace my precious little pumpkin. Mommy loves you."AMY MAXHIMERST. PETERSBURG, FloridaMarch 4, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jessica Bollinger, DVM"Thank you for your kindness. It was very comforting to be able to see Lilly pass peacefully and without pain. You were a true comfort.
I heard a “meow” last night and a friend told me that was Lilly’s way of saying she’s happy and content.
God bless you for what you do. Thank you,

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Tiffany Matheson, DVM"Dr. Tiffany came to my home and was so understanding of our grief. She gave us time to say goodbye. She walked us through the process and comforted us in our grief. After Hairy passed, she let me wail over his body. She never told me to hurry or not to feel my grief. She even made a paw print imprint in plaster so we can remember Hairy’s little foot.
I had a little ceremony planned for Hairy, and she allowed me to do whatever I needed as we said goodbye to our furry family member. Hairy’s last moments were devastating yet beautiful. It was truly perfect."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jenn Roedig, DVM"The veterinarian and staff were professional, compassionate, and attentive to my elderly parents needs in making the tough decision to euthanize their beloved Emmett. Many times circumstances beyond our control force us to make those tough decisions that hurt us left behind more than our beloved who have gone onto to heaven. Please know your love and mercy made this heartbreaking experience a tad bit more bearable. Blessings to all of love as you spread the love that is needed so much in this hurting world.

Dr. Jessica calmly explained the process and that Kelby will feel no pain and will just go to sleep. We all went into the living room and surrounded Kelby and laid with her while she went to sleep.
