There truly aren’t enough words to express how grateful we are for the compassion and kindness shown to our family during one of the hardest days of our lives. Saying goodbye to our sweet Roxy was absolutely heartbreaking, but the doctor from Lap of Love made such a painful moment incredibly peaceful and beautiful. She treated Roxy with so much gentleness, dignity, and love, while also giving our family all the time we needed to say goodbye. Roxy was able to be in her own bed, in the home she knew and loved, surrounded by her family. Nothing felt rushed, and everything was explained to us with such care and compassion. Roxy grew up alongside our twins and was a huge part of our family for so many years, so letting her go was incredibly difficult. Knowing that her final moments were comfortable, peaceful, and filled with love is something we will always be thankful for. Thank you for taking care of our girl when we needed you most and for helping us give Roxy the beautiful goodbye she deserved. We are so thankful to Dr. Kitri for making sure our sweet T passed without fear or suffering and surrounded by love. From the time Dr. Kitri gently knocked on our door, she was so calm, empathetic, and kind and really listened as we shared T’s medical history - even looking at his recent test results and talking about what that likely meant for his quality of life. Dr. Kitri explained every step of the process and answered all our questions thoroughly and with gentle understanding. We never felt rushed saying our final goodbye to our sweet boy. I really felt like Dr. Kitri understood how important it was to us to make sure we told T we loved him just one more time - many times. Dr. Brie’s compassion, guidance and calming voice were appreciated through our heartbreak and the difficult process of telling our sweet girl goodnight for the final time. She truly has a heart of gold to walk with furbabies and their humans during times like these.
