Lap of Love Veterinarian: Matt Renaker, DVM"We lost our pup, Violet, much earlier than expected due to aggressive spread of cancer. We had a few months to prepare, however, nothing quite gets you ready for the day you lose a loved pet - who for us was very much a family member. Lap of Love arranged same day service, which was hugely appreciated. Dr. Matt arrived and immediately provided a genuine sense of empathy, support, and thoughtful preparation. At not point did we feel rushed or unable to truly appreciate the last moments we had with Violet. I cannot thank Dr. Matt enough - he was an absolute professional, even following up with personalized cards and notes. Many many thanks, Dr. Matt."JJ DesaiMiami, FloridaJune 18, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Elizabeth Gill, DVM"Booger was my 17 year old shih tzu that I had since high school. He was a spunky dog with a huge personality. The best pet anyone could ask for. The last few months were rough on him. After countless visits to the vet and a sharp decline in his quality of life I was referred to lap of love. I was very hesitant at first, but I couldn't bear to see my baby in so much pain. Dr Elizabeth came out to our house and sat with my husband and I, watched us cry, listened to our stories, and helped booger ease his pain. I am so great full that I didn't have to scare him by bringing him to the vet again, and that he was able to pass in the comfort of our home, painlessly. I have never done anything like this before, but highly recommend this service."Mallory PandaOviedo, FloridaJune 18, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi, DVM"Our beloved standard poodle, Daisy was nearing the end of her life due to cancer. We were heartbroken and didn't want her to leave us but we were witnessing her rapid deterioration. She had such a good life with us and we didn't want her to suffer in her last days. Our Veterinarian, Dr. Alison Rhein, suggested we think about calling Dr. Heather. My husband and I talked it over with our three teenage children. We decided it would be so much better for Daisy to be with her family in the comfort and security of her own home. We were all very sad and nervous. As soon as Dr. Heather arrived, she put us at ease and made us confident that we were doing the right thing for our "baby" as she called Daisy. We were not rushed, we had a chance to talk to and about Daisy. Daisy rested on her favorite ottoman with all of us surrounding her. She was relaxed and happy to have all of us there. When the time came to say goodbye, Dr. Heather was sensitive to our need to spend some quiet time with Daisy. The whole event was beautiful, sad, peaceful, loving, and merciful for our dear Daisy. We miss her desperately but we feel we set her free in the best way possible thanks to Lap of Love."Karla Tamburrelli-BoyleHuntington, NYJune 17, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Annie Dion-Byrd, DVM"I was amazed by Dr Annie! She is truly a gift for animal lovers. She sat on the floor with me while I cried and lovingly explained everything what was going to happen. She shared her experience, strength and hope with me as she guided my Beloved Maggie to rainbow bridge. I will always send my pets on in this way. Dr. Annie and the staff at Lap of Love were gentle and so respectful during this difficult time."Laurie CampbellOcoee, FloridaJune 17, 2017Maggie's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Daniel Genatiempo, DVM"I can't say enough about Dr. Dan. He was so considerate and caring with us and Elsa! He explained everything and allowed us as much time as we needed! He was so gentle with Elsa even after she had passed. He made this difficult time easier! I am grateful Elsa was able to pass here at home. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender, DVM"Dear Dr Katie,

I can not say in words how much your empathy, tenderness, and professionalism meant to the Kelly family last Wednesday night, when you came to our home and helped us, help our 151/2 year old Beagle Maggy May, pass on to peace and freedom from pain.
You arrived with a peace and strength that really helped us with this difficult decision. You confirmed the dementia and signs of pain; that we had a hard time seeing because it was a slow daily progression over the last part of her life. You spent as much time as was needed for all of us to deal with her passing and you were so open and intuitive to every question, doubt and comment about Maggy and what was best for her. Maggy May was the sweetest, most loving, loyal, protective dog that we have ever had. I am sure she hung on only to try and be there for us, as we love(d) her so much. She played nanny to all four of our children and eventually our two grandchildren. She will always be remembered and never be replaced. You helped her final moments become dignified and tender, as she was. You will always be remembered with gratitude and respect. Thank you, Dr Katie .......well done."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Toby Goldman, DVM"Saying goodbye to Elvis was one of the hardest things we've ever done. I can't thank Dr. Toby enough for his kindness and much needed support. He walked us through the process and put our minds at ease that what we were doing was for Elvis. Dr. Toby and all the others who do this are selfless, very special people. I also want to mention Cheryl Wyatt, who took our call. She was wonderful. This is a horrible thing to go through, but they were amazing and so caring."Kim and Cary SoaresHenderson, NevadaJune 16, 2017Elvis's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender, DVM"Dr. Katie made the unbearable goodbye to our wonderful yellow lab Marley a little more bearable. I have never met someone with such compassion and I will be forever grateful that she was with us during this most difficult time. Dr. Katie was gentle and understanding and was so kind. She assured us that we were providing our 15 year old friend with a gift and that it was his time to go. We are grateful that we were able to say goodbye to Marley at home, in private, and he was comfortable and at peace. I cannot say enough about how wonderful Dr. Katie was, and she truly is a blessing."Annie BurgessNeptune Beach, FloridaJune 16, 2017

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Melanie Cohen, DVM"Dr. Melanie is an amazing young lady, she is compassionate, caring & loving. She confirmed & assured with us that it was time for Nadine to cross that rainbow bridge. I have owned many many animals, dogs, cats, horses and have hit the bridge many times but I will say that Dr. Melanie made this transition so peaceful. Nadine was in good hands she crossed over in her own home & her own bed. Much nicer than taking her to the doctors office. A big thank you to the Lap of Love staff cristina with her kind words and assurance. Thank you Dr. Melanie."CYNTHIA WAFF CAINNORFOLK, VirginiaJune 16, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dawnetta Woodruff, DVM"Our little man Louis was 17 years old - old for a cat. He survived his brother by a year, but was definitely fading fast. Our regular Vet's office is a long drive, and we just couldn't subject him to that. A friend recommended Lap of Love, and I think these people must be saints. I held my little guy as he peacefully moved on, and Dr. Dawnetta couldn't have been more kind or thoughtful. We will always have four legged kids, and knowing that Lap of Love is there when they reach the end is a comfort. It hurts to lose them, but Lap of Love makes it a little less painful. We thank them for being the kind of people who can ease others' pain, day in and day out. It takes a special kind of person to do this, and we are thankful for Lap of Love. I think you guys at Lap of Love must be saints. Bless all of you, and thank you."Sara FiebigerEllisville, MissouriJune 15, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Leann Sargeant, DVM"It has been almost a month since we said goodbye to our dear Lily. Words can barely express our gratitude to Dr. Leann for all she did to help us through a very difficult decision. The care and concern she showed to Lily and the compassion shown to Janet and I, made this ordeal much easier. Dr. Leann you will always have a place in our hearts for all you did to help us.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kendra L. Healy, DVM"I want to extend a "Thank You" to Dr. Kendra Healy. My sweet elderly Chihuahua passed in the wee hours of the morning. I had called a couple of other places but Kendra was the quickest to be able to assist me. She arrived about an hour after I called for her services. She is kind, compassionate and understanding. She treated him like a someone instead of a something. It's abundantly clear this is her passion and gift. She was more than supportive, she was patient. I knew right away I had made the right decision in calling her. Toby was in great hands with her and your loved one will be too! I am forever grateful."Bethany MuncieLexington, KentuckyJune 15, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Tiffany Matheson, DVM"Dr. Tiffany was so gentle and caring. She had so much respect for what our family was going through and was truly there to honor Angel and our wishes for a special service to help her pass peacefully to the Rainbow's Bridge. In addition, she continued to follow up with our family via email and a lovely sympathy card that was truly heartfelt. We could tell she has a passion for what she does. Thank you, Dr. Tiffany, for making a very painful and difficult time a peaceful and spiritual experience. She helped us understand this truly was best for Angel's peace and pain free afterlife. Much love and gratitude, The Henderson Family"Stephanie HendersonWellington, FloridaJune 15, 2017Angel's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Becky Frank, DVM"Dr. Becky was wonderful. She knew my work schedule made for a later night and she did not rush us with our time with him at all. As soon as I heard of this service I knew it was perfect for my yard loving boy and let him pass as peacefully and comfortably as he could here at home without the stress of more vet trips on him."Julie PalamarBOYERTOWN, PennsylvaniaJune 15, 2017Miracle's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Julie Greenlaw, BVMS"Sammy was my first pet, a bichon who at almost 14 years old developed Cushings disease. His symptoms were just getting the best of him and it was time. Dr. Julie made the entire process not just tolerable....but amazing. She is kind, empathetic and loving. She made this so much easier for Sammy, for my son and for me. I never thought I could possibly feel good about what I was doing - but I did. I knew I was doing the right thing for my baby and I was doing it in the most peaceful and humane way possible. I was incapable of taking Sammy to the humane society, nor to the vet. It had to be done in my house where I could spend as much time as I needed to say goodbye. I will recommend you to anyone who has an ailing pet. You really have this right!""Shari Wallackplantation, FloridaJune 15, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Stacy Michele Blake, DVM"Dr. Blake was very kind and patient through the process. We really appreciate how she listened to Savannah's stories and learned who she was. I believe that made it more personal. I really wanted Savannah to feel she was safe in her own home, around everything she was familiar with, and through Lap of Love's services, we were able to do that. I am so grateful Dr. Blake was there to help us say goodbye to our precious little girl. It was very peaceful for Savannah and that was what we wished for her."Kristen MauzyOrlando, FloridaJune 14, 2017Savannah's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amanda Page, DVM"Saturday was one of the saddest days of our lives. My beloved Molly broke her leg last Thursday and I found out that day that she had bone cancer and there was nothing they could do. We brought her home and made sure she was as comfortable as possible. Dr. Amanda Page came to the house on Saturday afternoon and was extremely caring and compassionate. Molly was very peaceful when she transitioned and for that I am extremely grateful. I also take great solace in knowing I could give Molly a final gift - that of passing away in her own home surrounded by those she loved and who loved her. I would not hesitate to recommend Lap of Love and Dr. Page to anyone."mary fosterLaguna Beach, CaliforniaJune 14, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lisa Littlejohn, DVM"Our Kizmet was 13.5 years old and through out her life she brought so many people joy, but particularly her own people. We got her from a friend when she was just 8 weeks old and she instantly gravitated to my son who was 11 at the time. She loved chasing squirrels, lizards and guarding the kitchen while was cooking, in anticipation of some scrap hitting the floor. We discovered around 6 weeks ago that she had a tumor in her belly and I knew I wouldn't do anything medically significant to intervene. My goal was to keep her comfortable and felt like she would let me know when she couldn't keep up any longer. She went down hill fast and I was left to make this decision quickly because it was unbearable to watch her suffer. My vet gave me the brochure for Lap of Love and also a friend recommended them as well. We lucked out with Dr. Lisa, from the moment she entered our home, her compassion and empathy with our pain was so comforting. She explained the procedure and treated us all as if we were her family, most especially Kizmet. The experience was as positive as it could be in this kind of circumstance. I would recommend anyone who has to make this end of life decision to include Lap of Love. Their guidance and compassion is exactly what helps in a stressful situation like letting go of one of your furry family members. Thank you from my heart, Dr. Lisa."Amy HiltonHudson, FloridaJune 14, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates, VMD"We had our sweet Paula for longer than projected. She was loving and loved until the end, which snuck up on us in 48 hours' time. On the morning that it became clear that she was suffering , Donna from the Lap of Love hotline answered my early morning call efficiently and sympathetically ,and arranged for Dr Brad to come within a couple of hours. He was competent and compassionate and made a painful situation as easy as it could be. Thank you !"Julia CohenHavertown, PennsylvaniaJune 14, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kara Fuchs, DVM"Kara, from the moment she walked in the door, till it was time to take our beloved CHEDDAR away, She was caring, she was knowledgable and reconfirm that I had made the right discussion to Euthanize Cheddar. My son and I were present. Cheddar was very calm. After the final ejection was administrated, Cheddar took one more deep breath and he was gone.
He was then placed on a stretcher and wrapped in a very lovely blanket. As I write this, Cheddar has only been gone 10hrs. and still miss him dearly, but realize it was time to take his pain away and sleep.
Lap of Love Thank you so much. Kara you did great.
