Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Heather Manfredi, DVM"Since my dogs are my children, I want to make sure that not only I give them a high quality of life but a last goodbye they deserve.
A relationship with a dog is, at least for me, the highest level of absolute, unconditional love and respect.
Lucky are the ones that come to understand and experience true love for a dog.
They do speak, but only to the one that know how to listen.
When to say goodbye is the most difficult decision you will ever have to make when you love you dog so much.
For me, the most important thing is their quality of life and not how sad I am going to be.
We must let them go for their own sake and comfort.
With that said, I always do my best to plan that they have their last breath in the comfort of their home surrounded by nothing but love.
From the moment I made that heavy-hearted call and scheduled the appointment with Barbara, I felt the love and compassion.
Dr. Heather Manfredi, I cannot thank you enough for your kindness, compassion and care.
You made sure to know about Xuxu Bear’s story and you made everything very stress free.
Thank you Lap of Love for helping me give my girl a very peaceful crossing to the rainbow bridge.
She is now free and with her brother swimming and chasing balls.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jordan Taheri, DVM"My sweet cat Tigger was a part of our family for the past 17 years. His health was declining the past few years, and especially so the last few months. When I knew in my gut it was his time, I called Lap of Love. They had assisted us with another one of our cats and i knew that I wanted Tigger to be at home for his final breaths, with his favorite person (that would be me!) holding and comforting him. Dr. Jordan came over and was so professional, kind, patient and understanding. He explained everything he was doing to us and answered all our questions. Tigger was gently given a sedative and eventually went to sleep. Very peaceful. Lap of Love is the absolute way to go in this difficult time. Thank you so so much Dr. Jordan for all that you did for us."Joan SiegelCooper City, FloridaMarch 21, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Tina Vaziri, DVM"She was dressed in street clothes (not scrubs) and just had a non-descript brown bag, and came in and just started loving on my dog. Was exactly what I was hoping for - not a hospital type experience. Almost like a neighbor coming over. She was clearly a pet lover and I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect person to bring my dog to a peaceful rest."Houston, TexasMarch 20, 2019Lockwood's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amanda Page, DVM"Dr. Amanda was a gift at an incredibly difficult time. Our girl, Posey (nearly 14), had cancer, and it was time. Making the call was so wrenching, and for an instant when Amanda was walking toward our front door, I wasn't sure I could go through with it. Amanda's calm, caring demeanor put Posey and I both instantly at ease. While it was hard to say goodbye, Posey had a loving, peaceful, dignified and pain-free death. We will always miss her. We are so grateful to Amanda for her guidance and kindness. THANK YOU!"Teri ShanahanCorona del Mar, CaliforniaMarch 20, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amanda Inman, DVM"Dr. Amanda Inman, DVM was so very professional, caring, gentle and compassionate vet I have ever met. I am so thankful for going through the Lap of Love for our Alaska. I will never regret the manner in which we used to send our Alaska on his final journey. It was so more compassionate for our doggy and Ruby was able to lay with him so that they both got a chance to say their byes to each other. It meant so much not only to us but to Alaska and Ruby . Our greatest appreciation to you Dr. Amanda for all you’ve done for us, Alaska and Ruby ! God bless you because God sure blessed us by bringing you into our lives."Sue RoemerStarke, FloridaMarch 20, 2019Alaska's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender, DVM"I do not know how to say thank you to this program and especially to the kind staff on the phone, and to Dr. Katie Stender. I teach Dog Training Classes here in Jacksonville and many of my former clients have highly recommend your services. I am so glad that I did reach out. The compassion was outstanding, heart felt, and I knew the minute I met Dr. Katie, she cared about my Buddy and what we were going through with him. She was so sweet to my dog and made his passing so comfortable. From here on out, this is the way I want my senior pets to earn their wings. At home, safe and sound, and in their favorite spot. Thank you so much for everything. This picture is years before his senior days. He was/is my best BUDDY. Thank you! <3 Sincerely, Stacy Strickland, Jacksonville Pawsitive Training, Inc. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kristine Campanelli, DVM"Dr. Kristine was so wonderful with us when we had to put down our beloved cat Tiger. It was the first time I have ever had to do anything like this and was so upset. Dr Kristine was kind and sweet and understanding of our grief. She made sure my entire family got to say goodbye including our furry family. She made a unbearably hard situation just a little bit easier on my family. My Tiger got to have his last moments in his home with his family around him. I could not have asked for a better way to say goodbye."Julie somersetSelden, NYMarch 20, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Green, DVM"If you ever have the choice of when and where your pet will pass on, I sincerely recommend Lap of Love. Letting go of a beloved friend, regardless of species, is never easy. Bea was my best friend for 13 wonderful years and it has been an adjustment to life without him. He was ready to go and it was the right thing to let him go. Dr. Katie Green with Lap of Love was comforting during a time that could have been far more stressful and upsetting in a clinical setting. Letting Bea pass at home was the least I could do for a dog that did so much for me... he will always hold a special space in my heart."Kate GodfreyJACKSONVILLE, FloridaMarch 19, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Nellie Wilbers, DVM"Dr. Nellie was kind, gentle, caring, soft-spoken...everything we could have wished for at this most difficult time. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender, DVM"Our beloved Ozzy was a wonderful kitty. We are so blessed to have had many, many years with him. Although he leaves his beautiful but weary body behind, we find comfort in knowing God loves His animals, and that Ozzy is now free to run around again. We will miss him!

Dr. Stender, you made the entire process so peaceful for us. It was a wonderful surprise to find you saved a lock of Ozzy's beautiful coat. We want to say thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You are so caring and compassionate. You truly have a special gift!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kimberly Moen, DVM"Thank you so much to everyone at Lap of Love. Reading the information on the web site enabled us to realize that the time was right. Placing the call to schedule the appointment was a difficult one to make but Tiffany was so compassionate and helpful.
Dr. Kimberly was an angel. She made us feel comfortable and gave us all of the time we needed. She also helped us to prepare for what our other dog, Daisy, may experience and how best to help Daisy through her grieving process.
No one ever wants to have to let their precious fur baby go, but if you must, Lap of Love is the most compassionate and peaceful way to help everyone to make the transition.
We chose to have a private cremation for "The Great Gatsby" and recently receive his ashes in a lovely wooden box engraved with his name and paw print.
While Gatsby is no longer with us on earth, he remains forever in our hearts."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sally Lynch, DVM"Dr. Sally Lynch was everything you would want someone to be in a situation like this. She just came to help our almost 17-year-old cat transition from this life to the next. She was gentle, kind, and caring. We so appreciate her thoughtfulness and care during a very sad time for our family. The prices were reasonable for home vet care, and we are so grateful we were able to allow our sweet, darling boy to have his last moments be as peaceful and gentle as possible."Sara MurrayChestnut Hill, MassachusettsMarch 18, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Nancy Rodriguez, DVM"Dr. Nancy assisted yesterday in the peaceful passing of our dog Miles. We could not have asked for a more peaceful transition for him, and the care and compassion shown by Dr. Nancy was above and beyond anything we could have expected. We felt informed every step of the way, listened to, and not rushed. We especially appreciated that Dr. Nancy took the time to ask questions and get a sense of who Miles was, which got us talking and remembering good times and funny stories and was a big help in making the occasion feel a little more bearable. We would recommend Lap of Love to anyone in need of a peaceful, caring option when the time comes."Lisa SpiresNorth Augusta, S. CarolinaMarch 18, 2019
