Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lori Braun"I can’t thank Dr Lori enough for her kindness in helping me with my sweet doxie. Gus Gus had been struggling with dementia for months and it broke my heart to let him go. She Explained the process to me- encouraged me to tell her about Gus and our life together. I was so grateful to have his last moments be at home and for my baby to find some peace after being so sick. I’m grateful to Lap of Love for the personal service They provide and the compassion they have."Kristin PaytonAlbanyMay 31, 2020

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Shannon Cabell"This was our second experience with Lap of Love and Dr. Cabell. Dr. Cabell was extremely understanding, compassionate, helpful and so empathetic through one of the hardest times in our lives. Our precious Millie was our beautiful baby, she brought joy to our world every day! It absolutely killed us to have to make the choice of sending her to the heavens above. Her last hour was soft, serene, peaceful and filled with so much love. Dr. Cabell made Millie so comfortable throughout her passing, she simply fell fast asleep with no struggle.
I am truly grateful to this selfless service of Lap of Love."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Liz Myers"I cannot recommend this service and Dr. Liz highly enough. The end-of-life decision for our Tess was heartbreaking, but knowing that she could be in her own home, on her couch, and wrapped in her blanket brought us some peace. From the very beginning of the process right through to the end, Dr. Liz was so respectful to our Tess and to our feelings. This happened during the COVID crisis, and Dr. Liz wore a mask and gloves and maintained as much distance as possible. We so appreciated her efforts in this regard. She called 15 minutes before arriving to let us know she was on her way. She explained every step as she progressed and gave us any time that we needed. In the end, Tess was lovingly placed in a wicker basket and my husband was allowed to carry Tess to Dr. Liz's vehicle. If you are trying to decide if using this service is the right decision, let me assure you that it is. In the future, we will always call Lap of Love. Thank you, Dr. Liz!"Dawn FitzgeraldGrand IslandMay 30, 2020

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jennifer Bell"We recently had to say goodbye to our beloved yellow lab, Goose. It is truly one of the most difficult things to have to do as a pet owner. Goose was absolutely terrified of going to the vet so I knew when the time came, I did not want him to spend his last moments on this earth in fear. When we heard about Lap of Love, we knew they were our answer. Dr. Jennifer came to our home and was so kind, compassionate and gentle. I am so thankful and feel so blessed that we had Dr. Jennifer by our side during such a difficult time. She made sure our sweet boy had the dignity he deserved and made his end of life transition as peaceful as it could have been. We will forever be grateful to Dr. Jennifer and the services provided by Lap of Love."Christy PColumbusMay 30, 2020

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Rachel Klickman"I cannot express enough how much I appreciate the care and support Lizy and I received from Dr. Rachel and Cecilia. In writing about Lizy I am at a loss for words and this is no different right now, but I still want to express how much easier this was because of Dr. Rachel. She went so peacefully with her loved ones around her. This feels like the worst loss I have ever had and yet oddly it was the best experience with letting one of my babies go. Thank you for helping me. I didn’t know how I was going to do it. Thank you for making her as comfortable as possible both in the months leading up to her death to the last day.

Thank you. Thank you."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lisa Rodin"Dr. Lisa,

We have been processing our grief, but we have spoken so fondly of you over the last few weeks. My fiance & I want you to know how thankful we are for your services on 4/29. We feel you were an angel. It meant so much to do the procedure at home. We know it was the best for Luther, as well. He was with us in those final days & hours. He never left his bed and we never left his side. We know he never felt abandoned. We cannot thank you enough for your service, especially during the pandemic.

We will always remember your gentleness with Our beloved Luther. You were so very considerate and it truly touched my heart.

I also wanted to thank you for your hand-written note and card. It was so thoughtful and it brought me such comfort. Thank you for recognizing how important and special Luther was to us.

Thank you for your kind and gentle soul, Dr. Lisa. You are so greatly appreciated. I do not have enough words to thank you for making this transition so loving and gentle, for Luther and for us.

Luther was a loyal and delightful companion. He was also rather handsome. The love we had for him will remain in our hearts always.

Much gratitude"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Casandra Huelin"Dr. Cassi was fantastic, kind, calm, and very professional in helping us with Finn's final moments. This service really provided me with piece of mind during a very difficult time. I ended up having to have Dr. Cassi come 2 days earlier then anticipated and the whole staff was very accommodating and very kind during a very emotional time. Lap of Love was amazing and I am truly lucky that this service was available for my good boy during these already difficult times."Alicia Duprey-GatrellSalt Lake CityMay 29, 2020

Lap of Love Veterinarian: George Croskey"Dr. George is so compassionate and respectful and made this very difficult situation bareable. We were kindly talked through how the procedure would take place and at no time were made to feel rushed. Dr. George patiently listened to every story about our Tristan from the time we got him until what brought us to this point. That kind act helped us so much in saying good bye and knowing we did the right thing. We highly recommend Dr. George and Lap of Love for anyone facing this difficult decision for their fur babies.

Most Sincerely,
Matt and Cheryl"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kristine Campanelli"Dr. Kristine was so caring and compassionate. She made sure our little Juliet passed peacefully and assured me that we were doing the right thing for her. Here it is the next day and while I'm sad and miss her (I expect to see her in all her favorite places), I am relieved that she is no longer suffering. I am grateful that this service is available. In this uncertain time, if I had to bring Juliet to the vet and not be able to accompany her, I would have been devastated. As difficult as it was, I'm grateful she passed on my lap on her favorite blanket. Thank you, Dr. Kristine."Liz HonigWest BabylonMay 29, 2020
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Blaine Brennock"I luckily remembered "LAP OF LOVE" and called Ms. Shelley. What a wonderful kind voice answered my call and listened to my tearful plea to send a Vet over to my home and let my Junior go peacefully. When Dr. Blaine Brennock arrived shortly after, I immediately knew that he was a Godsend 🙏. He was so compassionate, calm and loving and my Junior was relaxed and sleeping while our cat Sascha watched. When Dr. Blaine Brennock administered the quick anesthetic that included a pain reliever, Junior was in La La Land. He ask to take his footprint while he was still living and perhaps shave off a bit of hair as a keepsake for me and ask me if I'd prefer a special area of his fur that I wanted. After that he allowed me all the time I needed to say my final goodbye to my precious 16 year old angel, I cried many tears into his fur and than Dr. Blaine gently administered the final solution and Junior never moved and went so peacefully I wish on every furchild. There was no pain, no discomfort, filled with dignity and reassurance that my baby was on his way to heaven to be greeted by his 12 brothers and sisters that waited for his arrival at Rainbow Bridge along with God our creator. Dr. Blaine Brennock than went outside to his car and brought in a beautiful basket with a fluffy blanket and asked me whenever I was ready to place my Junior in it. I wrapped my baby in an American Flag shawl that I also wrote a goodbye message on and layed him into the basket. We are Patriotic that way. Dr. Blaine Brennock allowed me to carry the basket with my angel outside to his car and place him in his front seat. He secured the basket by moving the seat forward so the basket wouldnt move and turned around and ask if he could give me a hug. I gladly accepted as I haven't been comforted by a simple hug since months due to this COVID fearmongering and he said " God bless you". Dr. Blaine Brennock than left and exited my driveway very slowly and waved goodbye and drove my baby to Boynton, to deliver Junior at the place of Aquamation, another form of cremation that doesnt use fire anymore but water instead. It is more environmentally friendly and you still receive your ashes , which I will pick up myself next week and bring Junior home. I have attached a poem for all of you that grieve and are sad, especially during these COVID times. God bless you all and if you would like to connect and find me, look me up on Facebook under Eady Jennifer. Thank you "Lap of Love" and especially Shelley and the amazing kind and caring Dr. Blaine Brennock. I wish I had known about them before as I would have used them for all my angels that went before my Junior."Jennifer EadyWellingtonMay 29, 2020Junior's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates"We had to say Goodbye to our sweet little girl on May20, 2020. Black Cat shared in our lives for 17 years (I sometimes thought that she felt she owned us). Justine was very patient with me on the phone as I attempted to tell her what was needed. Dr. Brad was very comforting and after examining our little Black Cat respectfully agreed with our decision. Dr. Brad did not rush us and explained everything before he did anything. He was very respectful. What an exceptional person to help us particularly at this time. Thank you does seem enough for what he did for us and Black Cat.
Black Cat is missed but I do believe she did not suffer before she passed and that is comforting."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kali Jimenez"Absolutely amazing service, highly recommend. I cannot praise them enough. I cannot express how wonderful Dr. Kali was when it was time to let our baby boy Boomer pass. From beginning to end Lap of Love was caring, loving, professional, understanding, empathetic, considerate, kindhearted, and sympathetic. This was the toughest time and they were all so kind.

I am so glad we decided to go with this service instead of leaving our baby boy at the vet. We had to call them earlier than they were scheduled, and they came out early to accommodate us in our difficult time. Dr. Kali was the sweetest, nicest person and took great care of our Boomer. For such a horrible time, it could not have gone any better. She even took Boomers paw print and hair clipping for a keepsake. Then we had him cremated and we received him in a beautiful wooden box with his name on a plaque.

This service is such a blessing to have when you are going through such a difficult time. I cannot praise them enough and would give them 10 stars if I could. Thank you to Lap of Love St Augustine for truly caring about your beloved patients and taking such great care of them."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Mary Devlin"We lost our beloved dog Chip on 1/1/2020. He was a 12 yr old Husky/Lab mix who made me a dog lover. His illness was sudden, unexpected and we were in shock with the news. Dr Devlin came to our home on New Years Day to make his death a beautiful experience for our family. Her kindness and compassion were incredible. She didn't rush the process or us. She allowed us all the time we needed to say goodbye and get through this horrific day. She kept us informed every step of the way and I know for certain that he was comfortable and in our arms when he breathed his last breath. It was beautiful. Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for this person who helped our family. She is an angel and I will be forever grateful to her. Thank you Dr Devlin."Michelle LaveryBillericaMay 29, 2020
