Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jessica Bollinger, DVM"Thank you for your very kind words and all of your help with us coping with the end of Mini's life. You truly are amazing and quite a blessing to families. I'm not sure I could do that and especially having lost your own dog so recently. I'm also sorry for your loss. Dogs are incredibly special and hard to see go. Sadly they come like a person in one's life and like all leave too soon. Bless you and your work and thank you so much."Connie PetersonMaple Lake, MinnesotaMay 16, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jordan Taheri, DVM"Crossing over the rainbow bridge was much easier on the family to endure in Benjamen Isaiah's home, rather than in a vet's office. He explained to the children, the procedure very gently in words they could understand. The time spent with us was not hurried and very professional. Benjamen was the former rescue of my deceased daughter, mother of Ashley, and the children's grandmother. Thank you from all of us!"Christine WilliamsPlantation, FloridaMay 16, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jordy Merrifield, DVM"I like to think that angels walk among us... helping in trying times to see we carry on.

Faced with letting my Carson go, I reached out to Lap of Love at the recommendation of our doctor. The Lap of Love team was sensitive and accommodating as we planned for my last moments with Carson... allowing us to spend them in the grass beneath a shade tree on a warm spring day.

Having set ourselves down well before, Dr. Merrifield arrived to introduce herself to me and greet my two dogs... her compassion was made real from that first moment. Dr. Merrifield showed care for both my dogs as she shared how she would proceed... allowing for any questions and giving us time to share our last moments. With me by his side, Dr. Merrifield allowed me to say goodbye to Carson peacefully...hugging and petting him as tears streamed down my face.

Helping me set Carson's body in a basket, Dr. Merrifield seemed to understand as I declined her offer of assistance in the solemn duty of carrying him to her car.

Throughout what had to have been a tough scene... and in the brief follow up communication that followed... Dr. Merrifield showed care and compassion balanced with a professionalism that I rarely see these days... I will remember her warmly for years to come."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kara Fuchs, DVM"While the day we lost Cali was truly one of the hardest days of our lives, our experience with Dr. Kara and Lap of Love made it so peaceful and personal. We felt the empathy she gave and appreciated the personal questions she asked about our fur baby, giving us the opportunity to reflect on her precious life one last time, even if it was just talking about her favorite treats, or what she was like as a puppy. We always knew what to expect and never felt rushed with our time saying goodbye. It was deeply personal and the support and kindness was so meaningful. Thank you Dr. Kara for your tenderness in our most heartbreaking day."Chelsea RitchieHam Lake, MinnesotaMay 16, 2019

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Keri Morgan, DVM, MPH"Dr. Morgan, was very compassionate and caring toward us and our precious Black Lab Turk! From the first time Dr. Morgan came out to evaluate Turk, we were convinced Lap of Love was a the way we wanted to say good bye to our Turk. The procedure was simple, yet very sympathetic. Turk was at peace when we let him free. I highly recommend Lab of Love when its your turn to say goodbye to your precious pet...….

A special Thank You Dr. Morgan!!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender, DVM"I can't even begin to describe how hard it was for me to make a decision for Charlie to pass over the rainbow bridge. Charlie was my constant companion and the first dog to steal my heart and opening the door for me to foster rescues. Dr Katie was amazing! She put Charlie and I at ease from the moment she walked in. I cannot say enough good things about her. When it was Charlie's time to be pain free she cried along with me. She cared enough to remember the names of my other pets and followed up with me after to make sure all was well. The care and love she showed was incredible and it is apparent that God chose her to be a Vet for a reason...she was born to it!
I am forever grateful that Charlie and I were able to do this in our home surrounded by the people and that is what we want for our fur family members."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Elyse Persico, DVM"Our prayers were answered when Dr. Elyse came into our home and immediately comforted us and more importantly our love and blessing Leesi. Leesi was diagnosed with lymphoma and at 13 years we decided to send her into God's arms. Mike at Lap Of Love (our initial contact) even on a Sunday evening gave us understanding and compassion at the highest level. For Leesi being blind and deaf Dr. Elyse took time for Leesi to be comfortable and trusting of her touch. Leesi passed in my lap with loving vibes.

Laura and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts...
God Bless you Dr. Elyse, Mike and Lap Of Love... TRUE ANGELS"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Emily Angell, DVM"In the summer of 2016 we lost our Golden Grace (13.8 years) and six weeks to the day we lost our Golden Sweet Babbette (12.2 years). Dr. Emily Angell came to the house each time. Her beautiful reverence was so calming. It is only now, 2 1/2 years later that I can write about these events. Our dear Irish Rose was present at each event. Her heart has never mended. She carries the same holes that Grace and Babbette once filled. We all together mourned the loss of these two outstanding Goldens. We loved them more than words could ever say. Dr. Emily, showed such loving calm, completely understanding our loss, completely understanding our dear girls souls and need for comfort and calm. Dr. Emily did a wonderful process letting each girl go over the Rainbow Bridge while feeling, hearing and knowing we where there with them 100% connected as they passed.

I want to thank Dr. Emily for the wonderful work she does for people like us."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Christina Hampton, DVM"Dear Dr. Hampton,

It was so nice to have her come in home to put Dakota down. Thankful for that happening so he wasn't so scared going into a vet office and have all the scared or bad feelings. He was able to be more relaxed and feel way more comfortable. That's all I want is the best for him. He was a little over 10 years old which I got be in his life for 7 of those. I have 3 girls but feel as if he was my only boy. He has done more for me than me for him. I'm pretty sure he would say the opposite if could. I fed him people food a lot but with little amounts like he was family and not a animal. I have never spent many nights with him not sleeping with me over that time frame. Dakota had this thing where he would suck on this throw blanket of his. It is something I never heard of but it made him happy. He enjoyed going to the dog park and run around with my other dog or by himself before I got her. He hated going to the beach and trying to be put in the water. He loved the sand though and had a blast. He loved my kids even though wasn't to fond of my youngest because she too wild as most older animals don't like that but he still loved her. Always gave them kisses as that is one thing he loved to do. Just a few things that I enjoyed most with him is the first of feeding him some of my food and seeing the happiness he had about that. The next is him sitting and watching Yankee games with me or sometimes watch tv shows that I watched. It felt good to have someone watch those games with. My other dog did too but he more so did. I would say his overall happiness and love he showed to me was the greatest gift or thing I could ask for. He truly is missed by many and can't wait to see him again. We all love you Dakota and we couldn't ask for a better family member. Hope your happy where your at enjoying your life. We're sad your not with us physically but are in our hearts and glad your in no more pain. Love you boy"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Roger Chase, DVM"Dr. Chase; Roger,

Thank you for your compassion and merciful treatment of our love: Lady. I could tell you had a special place in your heart for these incredible dogs: Border Collies. And Lady was an incredible dog; a wonderful companion, friend and family member. I knew it was the right and best thing to do for her but it was devastating to think I would not have her by my side anymore. The good news is, I have lots of memories to keep her close.

Thanks again for being sensitive to our loss."

Our family wants to thank you from the bottom our hearts for taking care of our Max. We knew immediately as you walked into our home that we had an Angel coming to take care of our Angel. We cannot express the gratitude and thankfulness we extend to you for your compassion and genuine sincerity towards not only Max but our family as well. We were blessed to have you give our Best Friend and Angel the gift of passing in the home he loved and finally at peace.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Annie Dion-Byrd, DVM"All I can say is AMAZING! She hugged me and I knew she cared!!! She knew immediately how much our Buddy was loved! She talked us through every step that was going to happen, and her support and compassion was amazing! We felt as if she knew our family for years. She took care of Buddy as I would. I thank her for making that day better! I would recommend her or Lap of Love to anyone!! It put me at peace knowing my doggie was in my arms staring into my eyes, at home and never alone. I will love and miss my Buddy forever, but glad my face was the LAST FACE HE SAW! - Thank you Dr."Connie Santa MariaDEBARY, FloridaMay 13, 2019Buddy's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amanda Page, DVM"Dr. Amanda was amazing. We had to make the decision to give our sweet baby angel Roger a peaceful goodbye after his kidneys started to fail. His quality of life rapidly declined in a matter of a couple of weeks, he barely ate and wasn't drinking a lot of water so before we let him get sicker or run into an emergency situation we called Lap of Love to request an appointment. You can have them do a consultation before you make a decision but we knew it was probably the right time before things got a whole lot worse. Dr. Amanda was so kind. Her sweet and caring bedside manner was top notch. She walked me through how Roger was feeling - like he had a really bad flu and waiting to do this would eventually lead to seizures and painful death. She said it was the right time and that some pet parents wait too long. The last thing I ever wanted to do is rush my sweet boy into the emergency room where he hated to go. We had 3 years of managing his CHF and that's the last place I wanted to say goodbye to him. I knew the day he would be gone so I spent the 2 days prior to the appointment spending every moment loving on him and saying goodbye. While I still miss him so much it brought me much comfort knowing he wasn't scared. I just laid on the floor with my sweet angel giving him kisses and telling him how much I loved him. Thank you, Dr. Amanda, for taking such good care of my baby."Michelle AntinoraHuntington Beach, CaliforniaMay 13, 2019
