Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kara Fuchs"I was so thankful for Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice, Inc.. Their in home service was invaluable. Tank and I were together in our own home when he passed the Rainbow Bridge. Dr. Kara Fuchs was at my home at 11pm. She had to have been exhausted after a long day of home visits that were undoubtedly extremely emotional. She was an angel as she gave Tank the dignified, peaceful pain-free passing that he deserved. She took Tank with her and later hand delivered his ashes. For a heartbreaking time, it was so comforting. Dr. Kara, thank you for delivering Tank's ashes. I was somewhat overwhelmed at the emotions I felt and the comfort I take in having him home again."Kerry CollinsChaskaJuly 13, 2019Tank's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Maggie Mottram"Dr. Maggie was an angel of mercy to us when the time came for Smiley to cross the rainbow bridge. We could not have scripted a better ending to our beloved Smiley."Joe & Pat NamathEsteroJuly 13, 2019Smiley's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sue Mowatt"Dr. Sue is wonderful. Her peaceful, loving and empathetic demeanor to both our dog Tinkerbell and us helped make it through this very hard time.

I can’t even convey the absolute sense of relief and peace of mind in being able to ease Tink over the rainbow bridge in a shady spot in our backyard on a bright sunny June day as opposed to stressing her out by taking her to the vet.

I highly recommend both Dr. Sue and Lap of Love."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender"My 18 year old Lhasa Dixie Doo was going on to another journey today as Dr. Katie says.. She was cuddled on my chest and I gave her many hugs and kisses goodbye. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Dr. Katie of Lap of Love provided her one of the most peaceful, compassionate and respectful passing for our Ms Dixie Doo. Dr. Katie and Lap of Love, you are the best of the best. Dr. Katie is one of the most genuine, kind and caring ladies I have ever met. You all have a gift to be able to do what you do and to share and show your love for us and our pets in our most difficult moments. Blessing to all of you for all you do."TERRY SUE NOTCHICKJACKSONVILLEJuly 12, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Dawnetta Woodruff"I can't say enough good things about Lap of Love and Dr. Dawnetta Woodruff. I first contacted Lap of Love about Lexi, my 13 year old labradoodle who was diagnosed with cancer at the end of April - Dr. Woodruff was so helpful to us when we got Lexi's diagnosis, and we had mentally been preparing to say goodbye to Lexi, so it was a bit of a shock when our 14 year old labradoodle, Doobee, took a turn for the worse unexpectedly right before the 4th of July. I contacted Dr. Woodruff about Doobee via email and she responded right away - Dr. Woodruff had so much compassion and understanding for what we were going through. She was at our home the next morning, and we all sat on the floor with Doobee as we said our goodbyes. Dr. Woodruff explained each step of the process, made sure we understood and that we were ready to proceed. After Doobee had passed, she brought in a stretcher with a blanket and we all helped move him onto the stretcher. Dr. Woodruff lovingly wrapped him in the blanket and we helped carry him to the car. It was a very rough day for us, but having Dr. Woodruff come to the house and help Doobee cross the Rainbow Bridge at home on his favorite bed, make the memories of this day better. When Lexi's time comes, in the not so distant future, Dr. Woodruff will be with us again as we say our goodbyes."Marietta MillerHighlandJuly 12, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Rachel Klickman"Dr. Rachel made what seemed impossible, possible and even comfortable. Not only did she go through the steps of the procedure in a careful and gentle way, but she talked my husband and I through what’s been going on with our dog, Layla. Layla had cancer and Dr. Rachel helped us to understand that Layla was probably experiencing more discomfort and difficulty than she was showing. We then felt reassured us that not only was this the right thing to do, but it was also the right time. She assured us that Layla would be in no pain and, better yet, a state of bliss when her time of peace finally came. Dr. Rachel seemed to completely understand the absolute heartache I had been experiencing for days, and gave me a most comforting hug before leaving.
My husband and I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Rachel and the entire Laps of Love process. We are completely satisfied customers and would strongly recommend this service to anyone who is in need of a vet to serve in their home. I’m so grateful to not have had to endure a torturous ride to and from a vet’s office, the stress Layla would have to take on there, and facing people in public while experiencing this trauma. It truly was more comfortable, peaceful, and all-in-all, a better experience, without a doubt. We cannot thank Dr. Rachel enough."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jessica Bollinger"Thank you again for your help. You supported us, cared for us, and cared for Ony. You helped us understand that we were making the right choice to free her from pain and let her rest.

I can't express how grateful I am that Yannan got to say goodbye to her baby girl in such a peaceful and loving environment. I am so grateful Lap of Love was available to us, and hope others are able to utilize it to gain the peace and support they need.

Thank you for all you do.
Gratefully,
Matt, Yannan, and Nef."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Mary Kovach"This was a painful decision we had to make for our beloved Daisy Mae. We knew that we wanted the experience to be as natural as possible for Daisy and the least traumatic for Daisy as well as our family. It was upsetting to me to think about taking Daisy to the unfamiliar vet office with strange smells and memories of painful exams and shots. I was relieved that I found a vet who would come to our home. Dr. Mary was so caring and compassionate from the minute she walked into the door. She was patient and understanding of our every need. She was respectful of our feelings and allowed us to choose where Daisy was most comfortable (outside in the sun-her favorite place). She was mindful to include the entire family throughout the process even calling us by our names.. She first made Daisy comfortable with sedation, waiting patiently to see if she was sedated enough. When she saw that Daisy wasn’t sedated enough, she didn’t hesitate to give her a little more sedation. Dr. Mary was very gentle with Daisy and once she did become sedated, it was comforting to see how relaxed Daisy was. She was again the relaxed cat I remember so well, sprawled out on my son’s lap in the warmth of the sunlight. Dr. Mary waited until we were ready. As horrible as it was to say good-bye to our sweet kitty, our entire family agreed that this was the most peaceful way that Daisy May could have crossed that rainbow bridge. Dr. Mary made our sad goodbye to Daisy May as perfect experience as it possibly could have been. Thank you, Dr. Mary, for helping our family through this difficult time."Melissa LeeIndianapolisJuly 12, 2019DUPLICATE's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Carrie Roberts"I cannot say enough good things about Lap of Love. From Shelby on the phone to schedule the visit, to Dr. Carrie coming to our home, these ladies exhibited nothing but kindness and compassion, while being very professional and knowledgeable. As always, I hope to never have to euthanize a pet again, but if I do, I will undoubtedly use Lap of Love. Having had to put 2 dogs down in the past in a clinic surrounding, this event was less stressful and more comforting for both my husband and myself and my sweet girl Tula. Everything was explained thoroughly including cost. Post procedure communication was also thorough."Jacque GreigSt. LouisJuly 11, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Nil Wilkins"Lap of Love provided us with an incredible Vet in Dr. Nil Wilkins. She was absolutely wonderful and helped our family of 5 through a most difficult journey. I can't imagine ever doing something like this any differently. Dr. Nil and those like her are Saints and we are eternally grateful."Craig CefolaLutzJuly 11, 2019Chewy's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Allie Prokop"Dr. Allie is an amazing human. She was so kind and loving to our family. She explained what would be done, how and let us decide when. She wasn't hurried. It is rare to find that kind of compassion. I highly recommend her when the time comes to collect your fur family."Crystal SherlineOak RidgeJuly 11, 2019Charlie Bucket's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Caroline Kiert"Saying goodbye to our 13-year old border collie was one of the most heart-breaking moments in our lives. With that said, we are so grateful for the care provided by Lap of Love and Dr. Caroline. From the first phone call to the very end, they were nothing but kind and professional.

Dr. Caroline displayed a tremendous amount of compassion and respect to both us and our dog Lexi. It can feel very vulnerable to let a stranger into your home and witness your raw emotions, but Dr. Caroline immediately put us at ease. She sat on the floor with us, explained the entire process, reassured our decision, and extended us comfort afterwards . . . basically the complete opposite of a sterile metal table in a vet clinic.

We gave Lexi the best life a dog could have and are heartened to know that we also gave her a peaceful departure surrounded by love."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Maggie Mottram"What a comforting experience for just a devastating time. I felt at ease and was very thankful I could lay on my floor and hold her head and pet her kiss her and talk to her as she made her way to the rainbow bridge. I loved I had the opportunity to wrap her up and transport her to the car. I recommend this service to anyone who has to make this terrible but necessary choice for their fur baby. So impressed with Dr. Maggie and thankful for her kindness and tender care she gave our sweet Rosie."Jill TellinBonita SpringsJuly 10, 2019Rosie's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Keri Morgan"I'd like to express my gratitude to Dr. Keri Morgan. She treated both me and my baby, Maggie with the utmost compassion, care, empathy and love. Having the opportunity to give Maggie a peaceful passing in her own home was such a gift to both of us. Was it hard? Yes, one of the hardest days of my entire life. But every detail was handled with kindness and compassion. And for that, I am truly grateful. I felt we honored Maggie in the best possible way. The Memorial Dr. Keri wrote was such a wonderful touch. That meant the world to us and we could share with our family and friends."Kim FosterSt. LouisJuly 10, 2019Maggie's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sandra Simko"Dr. Sandra was so kind and understanding. Our 16 year old Rat Terrier deserved to be put to rest in a pleasant and stress free environment and Dr. Sandra made that possible, she really gets it. I can't imagine doing this in any other manner.

thank you Dr. Sandra"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Shannon Cabell"Dr. Shannon and Annie were wonderful from the moment we called until our Buddy left our home. They made the experience somewhat bearable. Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kristine Campanelli"It has been just over two months now that Dr. Kristine came to our home to help us help our sweet girl Noula - we grieved unbearably but are moving through the inevitable process so in Noula's honor and given our experience, we are happy to share with others who may gain comfort from knowing the care, dignity and respect you provide in what can seem completely impossible and overwhelming. There are no words to fully express our gratitude for Dr. Kristine, the Lap of Love service and availability when we so desperately needed it. All was done with kindness, skill and understanding. I cannot imagine getting through such a difficult decision any other way. We take solace in knowing we did the best we could for our girl. Thank you for giving us that peace of mind."LISA NIKOLAIDESWESTHAMPTON BEACHJuly 10, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Sarah Tangeman"Thank you Dr. Sarah, for gifting us the private and peaceful euthanasia of our beloved kitty Mia. We got to embrace her till the very end in the comfort of her familiar surroundings. This allowed us to grieve freely and deeply as a family on our own time."Missy SingletonGrand PrairieJuly 10, 2019
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Stacy Blake"The choice to say goodbye to our girl Cordelia was the hardest ever. We saw she was declining but trying so hard to be present with our family and hang on. We were saying heartfelt goodbyes each night and praying for her to pass peacefully in her sleep. As the weeks stretched on with her getting slower and less steady, we had to help her as best we could. The staff at Lap of Love was amazing. I barely was able to make the appointment through strong emotion, but they were supportive and consoling. Dr. Stacy Blake was so very compassionate. She assessed Cordelia and patiently helped us prepare. The process was peaceful and loving. Holding my girl as she relaxed and drifted off was difficult, but so comforting to be able to be the last loving arms and whispers she knew. Dr. Blake made the whole process feel safe and serene.

I used to think I could never bear euthanasia for my pets, but I have recommended Lap of Love to many co-workers and friends who are facing end of life decisions for beloved furry family. While we miss Cordelia every day, and grieve; I know we did the best for her by allowing her to pass in love and peace , surrounded by her favorite things. I think its what anyone could wish for at the end of a well-lived life. Lap of Love, and Dr. Stacy Blake made the experience a beautiful one."
