Helping Families Honor the Lives Of Those They Love
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Julie Greenlaw, BVMS"Dr. Julie,
I am so grateful for the kindness and compassion you showed me and my Waggie Maggie. The love in your heart is obvious and you made the difficult act of letting my sweet Maggie go much more bearable, and allowed me to see my baby comfortably travel to the Rainbow Bridge.

Hugs to you and thank you.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Becky Frank, DVM"How lucky I was to have such a wonderful individual as my doctor at such a sad time at the end of my cats 22 year life , bitter sweet experience because I enjoyed meeting this human being so much and Dr Becky Franks outlook and perspective on the situation . I had expected to be heartbroken and crying yet I found myself in awe by how caring and knowledgeable engaged in conversation full of happy memories and guided to make my grief as easy as it could possibly be , Days later and I'm still amazed now looking back , it takes a special kind of person to turn something so grim into a positive experience as Dr Becky Frank surely did . I'm certain without doubt now I did what was best for my ailing cat as well as for myself . I'm certain that wouldn't be the case if anyone other than this amazing Dr was called to the job , it would have been just that , a job and nothing more . Instead I know together we made a good positive choice and my heart is at peace . A million thanks to you , laps of love , for sending this exceptional doctor and all around beautiful person to my door . Dr Becky Frank ~ I can only hope my loved ones are as blessed to be in the company of someone like you when my times comes . Gratefully yours, all best , Nora Allen ( R.I.P Patrick )"Nora AllenMohnton, PennsylvaniaApril 11, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Amanda Page, DVM"We can't begin to explain how wonderful Amanda was helping us through this process. She was very comforting, compassionate, explained the whole process with us and never rushed us as we said good by to our dog Molly. Although this was such a difficult process for us to go through, her loving, kind words gave us peace and comfort. Thank you Amanda for everything. We truly appreciate you being with us and Molly during this difficult time."Rick & Tammy GillilandBrea, CaliforniaApril 11, 2017Molly's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Regan Harp, DVM"This is the by far the worst decision you have to make but also the biggest gift you can give your beloved pet. This was not the first time I have made this decision over my years as a pet owner but it is the first time I was able to make it as comfortable and less stressful as possible for my Toby, my constant companion for the past 12+ years. Dr. Regan Harp, could not have been more professional and empathetic at the same time. He gave us the time we needed to say good bye, he explained everything before he proceeded and Toby was at peace.

I know there will come a time again when I will have to make this decision, I am so pleased to know there is Lap of Love when you need them. From the staff on the phone when you first call to Dr. Regan, you could not find more compassionate people."
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jordan Taheri, DVM"Dr. Jordan is a caring and kind man. He helped us feel better with what we had to do to care for Tippy who was suffering from 4th stage kidney disease. It's so sad to have to part with a dear pet. His guidance was a blessing. She is resting in peace."Abby StoneCoconut Creek, FloridaApril 11, 2017Tippy's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Betsy King, DVM"Dr. Betsy, I cannot thank you enough for the kindness, compassion and calmness you shared during Marli's last day. Marli was my first pet, and I honestly didn't know what to expect yesterday. I thought that I would feel uncertain about actually going through with the procedure when the time came, but your presence was free of judgement and encompassed a gentle focus that I will never forget and always appreciate. Marli was absolutely a party animal, and the fact that she was allowed to be her normal, fun loving, and happy self until she got sleepy is the best gift that I could have ever asked for."Lauran PeoplesRaleigh, North CarolinaApril 11, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Stacy Michele Blake, DVM"I cannot say enough about Lap of Love and their loving doctors. End of January, I lost my younger of two dogs from unexpected kidney failure and Dr. Elizabeth Gill came and lovingly helped us say goodbye. Just a few days ago, I had to make another hard and heart breaking decision about my 14 year old furry boy and had Dr. Stacy Michelle Blake come over to help me through the process. She was so comforting and shared her knowledge which assured me that I was making the right decision. She understood my long relationship with Duke and how dear to my heart he was and she was very sympathetic to our feelings.
The option of having these loving doctors and for my loving furry boys to be in the comfortable setting of their home was a blessing. I am so grateful that their services are available to those of us who love our pets as much as they love us.
Thank you so much for providing love, comfort and dignity to my amazing Jasper and Duke."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Suzanne Cosentino, DVM"Dr. Suzanne is a God-send to anyone facing the difficult decision to say goodbye to a pet. She is compassionate, professional, and caring. Dr. Suzanne was gentle in everything she did and said. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. "Thank you" does not begin to encompass everything she did for our family.

Also, Carrie was wonderful over the phone as well. She was patient and caring and talked me through everything the evening prior to Monday's passing."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Deveau, DVM"After 15 years of the most fun, loving, relationship with our Roxy, a rescue from the Navajo reservation, we found ourselves facing this major and tough decision that most of you reading this will be making. We hiked, biked and roamed over 35 thousand miles from Boston to the BC Rockies and we know that kept her and us healthy for years. Her arthritis finally got the best of her and we knew it was time. Erin came to our home and immediately we felt calmed, comforted and cared for. Her spirit and energy was just what was needed to bless and grace our home. It was as if we were her only care the whole day. Roxy's passing was peaceful, beautiful and we know without a doubt the kind thing to do. I would recommend Erin and her team to anyone facing this dilemma.. She is a blessing and we honor her for the work she and her team do every day to give families peace and love..."sally ADAMSALBUQUERQUE, New MexicoApril 11, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender, DVM".
There is nothing comfortable about deciding to let your pet go, but if there can be comfort, it exists in the form of Dr. Katie Stender and her staff. Although my husband was still unsure, when I made the appointment, her receptionist (not sure of her name) was so kind and understanding. She told me to send Sean to the website to read the information on how you know your pet is ready. She gave me all the pricing and everything up front and answered every question I had.

When Dr. Katie came to the house, Mallory was lying on the couch on my lap. Dr. Katie hugged us both and immediately talked to Mallory and gently examined her. She took the time to listen to what we had to say, and she explained compassionately to both of us what she saw in Mallory. She let us know that she could see how long and how hard we had tried.

I think the part that resonated the most for me was that she mostly spoke to us while gently petting Malcat. Malcat was not afraid or uncomfortable. Dr. Katie explained the whole process, then she gave us some time to say goodbye. The time she gave us to accept the process and to give our cat the love and attention she deserved at the end of her life was truly precious. And when Malcat left this earth, she did so in my arms, with her daddy’s big hands on her beautiful little head.

My husband was the first to realize she was gone, and he whispered to me that she looked so peaceful, since I could not see her face. I looked up, and Dr. Katie was crying right along with us. If someone can be called to do a job, this must be her calling, because she made me feel peaceful with my decision.

This experience taught me that having your pet comfortable, in their normal surroundings when their life ends, is the biggest gift you can give to both your pet and yourself. Thank you so much, Dr. Katie, for what you do. I will never forget your kindness to us during this difficult time."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Courtney Brookens Graham, DVM"Dr. Graham was exceptional and caring of not only Jazmyn, but for my wife and I as well. When she arrived, Jazmyn was actually sleeping, which allowed her to unpack and prepare us all. Jazmyn's passing could not have been more peaceful, she sighed once and crossed the bridge, she was ready to leave her aches and pains behind and move on. I can't even say what this was worth, for this to happen at home where she was most comfortable, was the best we could do for her. We love her and our home is empty without her, but her memories will heal our hearts."Brian MonticueMount Clemens, MichiganApril 10, 2017Jazmyn's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Regan Harp, DVM"Dr. Harp made this process so much easier. He explained everything and did not proceed until we were ready. He was very caring and kept assuring us that we were doing the right thing."Brenda CruiseMurfreesboro, TennesseeApril 10, 2017Allie's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jennifer Walters, DVM"Dr. Jennifer Walters was the greatest help to me and my family during our time of sending our dog Mia to glory by giving Mia her "wings". we have never experienced an event of this nature and we needed support and comfort which Dr. Jennifer Walters gave to our family at the giving time. Dr. Jennifer entered our home which was filled with grief, sorrow and pain, but after she left, our home was filled with that of renewed strength and joy We want to thank you again Dr. Jennifer for your expertise, your caring & your love you gave not only to us as a family but also to our dear family dog Mia."Lee JenkinsCharlotte, North CarolinaApril 10, 2017Mia(mya) Jenkis's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Lauren Cassady, DVM"I cannot express how thankful I am for Dr. Lauren Cassady. I knew Spanky, our 14-yr old Chihuahua, was deteriorating rapidly. I had just taken him to the vet about 2 weeks ago to have his congestive heart failure checked. He got so nervous while there that he passed out and they had to give him oxygen to get him to come to. I took him home without even having him checked out any further. I knew if I took him back, he wouldn't make it through the visit. I co-worker told me about Lap of Love and Dr. Lauren. I made an appointment for a geriatric in-home visit. In my heart, I suspected it was time to put him down. Dr. Lauren agreed, but gently gave me all my options. By the end of the visit, I knew it was best for Spanky to let him go. Dr. Lauren never rushed me, never pushed me to do anything I wasn't ready to do, and she talked us through the whole process. We got to spend the last moments with Spanky in our home where he was comfortable. He was never scared and never in pain. Then she let my daughter and I cry for as long as we needed (and I mean UGLY cry!). It was the first pet I ever had to put down. I can't imagine ever doing it another way. It was SO worth it to have Spanky pass so peacefully. Dr. Lauren could not have been any sweeter to us and to Spanky."Dana KeithSmyrna, GeorgiaApril 10, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Brad Bates, VMD"We cannot say enough good things about our recent experience with Dr. Brad Bates! As horrible as the experience of putting your beloved pet to sleep is, he made it so much more bearable! He was kind, warm, compassionate, and patient. He took his time. He explained everything. We were slightly concerned that by doing a home euthanasia that we would be rushed through by a vet, especially one with whom we had no relationship. But that could not have been further from the truth. Dr. Brad was truly wonderful with us and our 11 year old daughter. He answered all of our questions, even our daughters. And although he is a vet who loves all animals, it meant a great deal to us to know that he is a cat person who has cats at home. It has been our experience over the years that most vets tend to favor dogs. So it meant to world to us to know that he was a cat person. He made us feel like he was treating out beloved cat as if she were his very own! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Brad to anyone needing geriatric pet care, pet hospice care, or to anyone who has to make that sad decision to euthanize their pet. It's worth EVERY EXTRA PENNY!"Jennifer BundyWyndmoor, PennsylvaniaApril 10, 2017Lucky's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Ashleigh Rhoades, DVM"Dr. Ashleigh was amazing. She allowed us to surround our sweet Mr. Biscuit with everyone who loved him as he went to sleep for the last time. Dr. Ashleigh was kind, loving and so gentle with our sweet sweet boy. I am so grateful that she is the person who was sent to us."Kathryn LenhardtSeattle, WashingtonApril 9, 2017Biscuit's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender, DVM"When my sweetheart Sam started having problems and didn't want to eat, I knew I needed help beyond what a regular vet could provide. My consult was originally for hospice, but when Dr Katie got here he was in a very deep sleep and looked so peaceful. I had just started feeding him baby food with a syringe and could barely get his seizure meds in him. Dr. Katie was so gentle and caring with him and it was determined it was best to let him go right then. It was so heartbreaking, but with Dr Katie there explaining everything throughout the process, it was like having a best friend that was a vet taking care of my baby. The other dogs were also there and she also explained what they were experiencing and possible behaviors to look for. After going through this with 6 other dogs previously in the regular way of taking them to the vet, I cannot believe I had not heard about Lap of Love before this. Death, as heart wrenching as it is, is part of life, and Dr Katie made it just a little more bearable with her expertise coupled with her kindness as she comforted me while all I coukd do was sit there and just sob. Some people just don't understand the profound influence that pets bring into our lives, thus don't understand or care why it's so difficult to lose them. Dr Katie does understand and I will be forever grateful to her for taking such good care of my little boy Sam. RIP Sammy, mom misses you so, so much."Janeen Hedquistst augustine, FloridaApril 9, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jordan Taheri, DVM"Dr. Jordan,
Thank you so much for your compassion and professionalism with our dog Bullet. We have euthanized our pets at the vet's office before, however, our experience with you and Lap of Love was by far the most comforting. Your attention to detail and listening to our story showed us how much you cared. The thoughtfulness of the memorial you posted for our sweet Bullet was very touching. Our Bullet was so special to us and we are so appreciative of your care in helping him be at peace.

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Jade Tenberg, DVM"It's almost impossible to believe that anything could make the devastating experience of euthanizing our beloved dog, Oboe, any better or easier—but Lap of Love did just that. From the very first contact we made, LoL responded with amazing sensitivity, patience, and professionalism. After that first email, we were blessed with four more weeks with our sweet Goldendoodle, and never once during this time did we feel "rushed" about anything at all. Even after we made the appointment, they conveyed no pressure whatsoever about adhering to a time/date—always reassuring us that they understood how things can change in these circumstances.

Dr. Jade was warm and patient from the moment she walked in our door. Throughout the process, she showed grace, sensitivity, and respect; everything she did and said just filled us with a calm and complete confidence in her abilities. Oboe never had to leave his prized toys or his comfy bed in his favorite spot in our house, our family was able to cuddle around him and didn't have to walk through an office lobby or try to drive home through our tears. Our darling dog was a member of our family for almost 11 years, so having him euthanized was heartbreaking, but we can honestly say that the experience was filled with love and LoL made it incredibly peaceful and meaningful. We highly recommend Lap of Love to anyone who must say goodbye to their cherished pet, and we will be forever grateful for their loving support."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Erin Gorney, BVMS"We never would have been able to go through this chapter of Xander's life without Dr. Erin and the support from Lap of Love. When we received Xander's terminal diagnosis we had a very tough decision to make and it seemed to be a miracle that one night a news spot about Lap of Love appeared out of nowhere. The timing was magnificent and we were so distressed on what steps to take next. The moment we met Dr. Gorney we knew there was no other path to take. Our original prognosis was 3-6 months and with the care under Dr. Erin we ended up having 9 full and loving months with our boy without ever having to take him to a chemo or treatment clinic. Lap of Love will forever be in our hearts and the care and support they provided to our family is unconditional. Thank you for being brave and providing this type of care to families."Alicia & Jarrod DiGiorgiPittsburgh, PennsylvaniaApril 9, 2017Xander's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender, DVM"The hardest part of the process was making the decision. I watched the videos and they were very helpful. I also filled out the online information several days ahead of time and that was helpful so that way when I made the decision that part was already done.
We had or beloved Samantha for over 13 years. The assistance of Dr. Katie made it so much easier. Her compassion was incredible for the dog and of course the crying owners. I would highly recommend their services vs. the dreaded trip to the vet and anxiety it creates for a lot of dogs and owners. Once Samantha got her angel wings and was at peace we knew we did the right thing. Doing this at home was the best decision. Just like our family members use Hospice to end at home, this had the same peacefulness about it. This also allowed for our other dog Bella to be there. While Bella didn’t look for Samantha after she did grieve in her own way as did we. Plenty of extra love, treats, and extra walks and Bella is now adjusted to being in charge."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Katie Stender, DVM"It takes a special person to perform this service, and Dr. Katie is a special person. We agonized for weeks over what to do for our cat Tootsie, who was clearly in the critical stages of hyperthyroidism. We finally decided to call Lap of Love. Dr. Katie explained what was happening to Tootsie and gave us great reassurance. The amazing thing was that Tootsie, who was always wary around strangers, liked Dr. Katie right away. Our cat "got her wings" peacefully in her own bed, surrounded by love. This is how it should be done."Jim FlaggJacksonville, FloridaApril 9, 2017
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Tina Olivieri, DVM"Dr Tina,
Thank you so much for helping our little sweet boy find peace yesterday.

Before you arrived, we felt lost. Your kind approach put us at ease in a most unbearable situation. The gentle way you touched Oliver.....your soothing words to him.........just meant the world to us.

He was our little ray of sunshine for so many years, and in so many ways he saved OUR lives and was there when we needed him. There are no words to explain how much we loved our little Ollie.

Thank you for allowing us to show him our love and respect by making sure he had a loving, gentle passage to The Rainbow Bridge.......in his favorite spot outside, with the wind blowing, the sunshine beaming upon him, and us drenching him with kisses.

Mark and I will never forget what you did for Oliver, and for our little family snuggled up warm here on Mt Washington.

You are truly an angel."
