I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a picturesque suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I loved learning about nature. I shadowed multiple veterinarians, volunteered at the local wildlife rehabilitation center, and worked at the Audubon Nature Center near my home.

I went on to study biology at the University of Pittsburgh, where I founded the Pitt Pre-Vet Club that still helps prepare students for vet school today. I earned my doctorate degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. During my time at Penn, I was fortunate to complete externships at the Animal Medical Center, BluePearl Veterinary Partners, the Philadelphia Zoo, the Sumatran Rhino Sanctuary in Indonesia, and the Panthera wildlife conservation organization in New York. After graduating from Penn in 2011, I moved to New York and completed a rotating internship in medicine and surgery at BluePearl Veterinary Partners. I then spent years working as an emergency veterinarian in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, and New Jersey before transitioning to general practice.

I am also experienced in forensic veterinary science and have assisted the ASPCA with anti-cruelty investigations. I have been featured on NBC New York and New York 1 as a veterinary expert.

It’s difficult to articulate why I love being a veterinarian. When one of my patients looks up at me, appreciating my gentle touch and soft words, I know I’m living my purpose. I’m honored to play such an important role in strengthening the bond between animals and the people who love them.
